**Phenomenal!** We walked by and had to stop when we saw the gorgeous desserts in the window. The…read moreplace was clean, inviting, and wonderfully cool--a welcome reprieve from the heat outside. I got the hazelnut and chocolate desserts to go, and they were rich, decadent, and unbelievably flavorful. It was pure happiness in my mouth! Is it pricey? Yup. Is it worth it? **Absolutely!** You can appreciate the craftsmanship and artistry that go into creating these beautiful desserts. They're truly little works of art. The only drawback? The staff could have been a bit friendlier. But the desserts themselves? Absolutely phenomenal!

I called ahead and spoke to the Bill, who is one the married owners, (his wife is the chef/pastry…read moreartisan) who explained that they serve their whole food menu until 3 PM and after that, until closing time, they serve their quiche slices with a side salad, a few sandwiches, excellent coffee and tea beverages and what's left of their savory and sweet French pastries. He held their last napoleon for me, as I planned on coming late, and was very happy to be able to get some quality quiche and French pastries until 10 PM on a Saturday night! Irena, from Ukraine, was very nice and helpful at the counter when I arrived and served me at a table.. I had a delicious iced matcha latte that I sweetened with their packets of natural stevia that are mixed with a little sugar. And the asparagus and Brie quiche was so perfectly balanced and delicious with a great buttery made-from-scratch crust that I quickly ate it all along with the small side salad that comes with a simple olive oil and lemon dressing. Because it was so good, and I hadn't eaten all day and night, I also ordered a piece of their other type of quiche that has mushrooms, spinach and goat cheese in it, heated up, but to go, since they were closing soon. It is also very good, but I definitely prefer the asparagus Brie quiche. I got a napoleon and pavlova slice to go. I was a bit disappointed with their napoleon and don't think I would order it again; I didn't like the pastry layers (that were not crispy and cold by their closing time); nor did I really care for the pastry creme filling that much. But their incredible pavlova desert with crunchy, yet airy and fluffy meringue, whipped cream, strawberries, raspberries and toasted almond slices is a blissful, must-have dessert!

A hidden gem tucked away in Wellington Mall on the 2nd floor (Macy's)…read more I wasn't even looking for a coffee shop--I was just wandering around the mall when I stumbled across KC Coffee & Art, not in the main food court, but nestled off to the side like a well-kept secret. And from the moment I stepped in, I knew this place was special. The vibe? Absolutely charming. The atmosphere gives off this cozy, Havana-meets-Colombia feeling--warm, welcoming, and full of character. Beautiful artwork lines the walls, giving it more soul than your average mall café. It feels like a creative hideaway, the kind of place where you can sip a rich cup of coffee and actually take a deep breath. The staff deserves a shout-out, too. Respectful, kind, and attentive without being overbearing. They seemed genuinely happy to be there, which made me feel the same way. I asked for a to go order, but found myself taking a little break to write this review!!! I just had too!

My experience here all together was just distasteful. My first thing when walking in is I noticed…read morethe empanadas in the bake case were either all burnt, or undercooked. The person behind the register, I think he was the owner, seemed to be very rushed, and not in a good mood, and just overall was quite rude to me. The store itself was okay, there were crumbs on the tables, and they seem to kind of rush you out. I also noticed while standing at the counter ordering there were ants crawling around on the counter by the food, was not pleasant, this was after ordering my food, I got a spicy beef empanada, and a Jamaican patty, the empanada was undercooked, and the Jamaican patty was cold in the middle. I ordered an iced caramel macchiato, it was very bitter, and when I looked closely, there were some ants in my coffee as well. I did not end up finishing any of my food, and I ended up throwing away my coffee. Overall my experience at KC coffee was not a good one. The prices are absurd as well, it seemed cute on the outside. But be warned the service is not great, and the food is even worse, the ants were just the cherry on top, will not be returning.

Simply Elegant Earth…read moreand Sugar's show stopping cake was the perfect sweet treat to end our wedding night! It was this past June at The Palms Hotel Miami, recommended by our venue. Needless to say it was hot lol, but our cake was able to withstand the heat and outdoor elements without a hiccup. We had a guest count of 120 and went with a 4 tiered cake. Each tier alternated between two flavors, Funfetti and Dulce de Leche. Absolutely delicious, great chic designs and professional to work with :)

As someone with celiac disease, I'm always searching for bakeries that can cater to my condition…read moreand deliver treats that actually taste amazing. I found exactly that at Earth and Sugar--just in time for my birthday! Last minute, my mom suggested I pick up some cupcakes to celebrate. I called Earth and Sugar to ask if they had any Funfetti gluten-free available that day (they didn't, which I totally understand!), but they kindly held three vanilla/vanilla cupcakes for me to grab. When I arrived, I spotted their chocolate chip cookies and couldn't resist trying one. It was incredible--a little sea salt on top, slightly doughy in the middle, and full of flavor. The bakery itself was renovated last year, and it's stunning--more like a chic interior design studio than a typical bakery. And the cupcakes? Absolutely delicious. I usually skip frosting, but theirs is rich, light, and completely irresistible. Overall: Five Stars I'll definitely be back to try the Funfetti next time. Thank you, Earth and Sugar, for making gluten-free taste this good!
