What is wrong with the customer service at this location? So I frequented Babeland before, both the Rivington and Mercer St locations. The customer are service is always super friendly and helpful. I was expecting the same at this location, boy was I severely disappointed. When I walked in there were three people behind the counter. Two females and one male. All three saw me walk in and no one said hello or welcome. Ok, no big deal, so I head over to the section I'm looking for, trying to decide between a bunch of products and reading the labels to give me some insight. Not one of the three people come over to ask if I need help. This is almost unheard of at any of the Babeland locations in Manhattan. I shop at Babeland because the service is usually so great. So I turn around to see if they're busy and they're just watching me but not saying anything. I guess they think I'm going to steal something. Then someone walks in the store & the male employee immediately goes over and greets that person. So I'm looking for the sample of a specific product, I turn around to the counter again to ask but I see the item. As I walk over to the counter with the 2 females one leaves to ask another customer if she needs help. So basically I was the only one ignored by three employees in a near empty store. I guess to them I looked more like a thief than a customer. I pay for my items and leave. Worst experience at a Babeland store. Stick with the stores in Manhattan. read more
