This food truck is located right next to the gas station 7/11 in front of the DQ sign. The food comes out in about 10-15 minutes. I believe it is a family business, so it's nice to support! The man who works there is super sweet. I have come here around 3-4 times and can confirm that they make it fresh. You can see them making it right after you order and the food is always crispy and hot! I usually get the #1, the chicken shawarma. The set comes with pickled vegetables, fries, and a sour cream/mayo type of sauce. The sauce is amazing and the pickled vegetables pair well with the shawarma in cause you need a palate cleanser before your next bite. The chicken shawarma is one of the best I have ever had. They put chopped pickled vegetables in the shawarma, which adds a nice kick to it. They also allow for modifications if you don't like pickles though! The portions are huge so it could definitely last you two meals! I highly recommend this place and will be coming back.

Lamb gyro plate with French fries, tzatziki sauce, and mixed veggies (carrots, cauliflower, celery)

Friendly owner; recommended the lamb gyro. It came with French fries, mixed vegetables, and tzatziki sauce. It came out to a little over $13. Reasonable cost for a food truck Pros - Lamb gyro and French fries were well seasoned - Tzatziki sauce tasted refreshing - Friendly owner (came over to give me the takeout while I was in my car) - Pretty solid portion Cons - Mixed vegetable weren't great. It was almost too seasoned; maybe a little too much salt. Tasted a little vinegary I'd go back, but would look for something that either doesn't have vegetables, or ask to sub the veggies for something else

Chicken shawarma, comes with rice, hummus and a salad

I discovered this place about a month ago and think about their food all the time. I've only gotten the chicken shawarma plate and it's absolutely delicious. The plate is very generous and flavorful, and the service is friendly and fast

Amazing food served quickly. Their falafel is absolutely the best and made to order, well worth the 15 minute wait. The rice and humus complimented the lamb gyro plate perfectly.

Best shawarma in San Antonio and I've tried many. Moved here from Phoenix where good shawarma is aplenty. Here...not so much. But this place is absolutely delicious! Fresh, hot, delicious, perfectly spiced, meat is not dry. I just stopped by with my 7-year-old after a doctor appointment and saw it in the Shell parking lot while driving home. The owner is extremely nice and gave us lollipops and a sample of the shawarma. He brought out the food to my car where I waited. Ordered 2 chicken shawarma Arabic sandwiches, 1 mixed kebab plate, and some falafel. Everything is amazing. I have high expectations and have been disappointed many times in this city but Baba's is the best. I'm so happy I ate it in the car and didn't wait to get home lol Please go and get this delicious food you'll be so glad you did. My son said it's 5 stars too!

Lamb gyro, fries, giardinara and muhamarah

Phenomenal food, I had the lamb gyro with fries and it was perfect!! They make their own muhamarah, delicious and something I hadn't found at many places in SA.The family that owns it are very friendly and the quality of their food and service has absolutely carried over from their first truck. I also tried their house rice pudding and baklava and they were spot on to my taste. Definitely recommend this to anyone who likes good middle eastern fare.

Apparently, she has been here many times already with her husband and some of their good friends :) ! We came on a Friday before the Happy Hour specials ended at 6:30 pm this :) ! I loved my Aphrodite Spritz :D ! My friend ordered the Athena Dion and the Santorini Bikini :) ! For our Happy Hour dishes, we ordered the Tirshi (butternut squash, harissa, and pepita chili crisp), the Dakos (marinated Texas heirloom tomatos, sourdough croutons, black olive salt, tulum and fresh Za' atar) and the Olive Oil Cake :) ! We really loved how a lot of the cocktail drinks and delicious dishes are Greek - themed ;) ! Our waiter was extremely attentive, friendly and prompt :) ! The ambiance is absolutely perfect for anyone to eat there solo, or with friends and family :) ! There is seating both outside and inside. For my first time there, we sat outside on the second level. If it wasn't so hot and humid, it would have been nice sitting outside. I would have preferred to sit inside during the summer. Except when we went, it was already early Friday evening, and most of the indoor seating at the bars and tables were taken. I would highly recommend this Mediterranean restaurant to anyone :D ! Their Happy Hour prices are extremely reasonable :) ! Although, I wouldn't mind coming back for their regular non-Happy Hour dining too :D !

The pide bread has a nice crust and gave the satisfying crunch when you bite into it. I can eat just the bread alone. But as you bite the portion with the cheese and meat, wow!! It's awesome! All the grilled meats were very tasty. Usually chicken is the least tasty in Mediterranean grill but over here they really know what they were doing. Happy with our selections. Complimentary bread and dip is a plus. The dip is really good. Too bad the server couldn't tell the name of this dip, he just said it's house made. They can certainly create a name to avoid confusion. Service can be improved, thus 4 stars. 1. The store is open until 9pm but kitchen is closed at 8:15om. I see a few people got turned away because the sign said they were open but they can't take their order? What are people supposed to do if they come at 8:15 and get in? Have a drink? They have no alcohol license yet as of July 2026. I don't know if they have food that's microwaveable that can be served after 8:15. 2. They don't provide water unless you ask, they only have water bottle for $1 each. They could have said this when they take your order: "Anything to drink?" But they don't ask if you want anything to drink at all. I saw other tables also don't have a drink.

Our waitress was warm and extremely helpful. It was surprising. Let me explain why. I don't know if it's a cultural thing. I may be wrong, but a lot of middle eastern/Indian/Mediterranean restaurants we visit, the staff at times can seem cold and non engaging. You will see in a review for a place we recently visited how bad it was, later. I made a point to get the wonderful young ladies name, but I will not butcher it, but sound it out. Sa-va-ti. She was amazing. We started off our meal with some of the best hummus we've had in quite awhile. It was perfectly flavored and had great texture. We also started off with falafel, which we all love, but it was missing just a tad more spices. It was fried to an absolutely wonderful crisp. The pickled veggies that came along were a surprising table hit. They were very good. Then mains, we had the Kahramana Burger, and the Kahramana Mix Kabob plate. Let's start with the burger. It was different. Don't get me wrong, it was good different. It just took a minute to get over the beef patty having the consistency of meat loaf. Once we got over it, it was dam tasty. Good bun to meat ratio and a sauce like I've never had. This place also managed to cook great fries. Two places in a row for us! Makes me wonder what the other places in town are doing wrong? To the star of the star of the show. The mix kabob plate was AMAZING! Best lamb I've ever had anywhere. It was not too gamey, seasoned just right, and they got the medium cook on it spot on! I wish I had ordered just lamb. The beef skewer was also great, but the lamb stole the whole plate. The chicken was our least fav. It was a tad under seasoned and had a somewhat grainy texture. It was falling apart. The rice was good too! It came with a small hummus and this delicious garlic sauce! We were dipping the fries in it! Get this they still bring you all the bread you want! It's hard to explain the bread. It's like a pita/naan hybrid, and we couldn't get enough of it! We stopped our meal early, loaded up our to go boxes, so we could try the baklava. It's wasn't bad, we've had better. Check this out...they bring you complimentary Iraqi tea at the end of your meal? Or maybe it was just for us? Who knows? It's was perfect with the baklava! I can't even explain how excited we are to revisit and try other items! Bravo!

I loved the meze platter since there was a sampling of 5 of their different appetizers. Everything on the platter tasted very fresh and was delicious. The ali nazik was a bit more lackluster: the side salad could have been fresher and the grilled jalapeño was only half grilled (it tasted raw); the rice was a little mushy; and the lamb was a bit over seasoned.
