B Threads is the place for threading in this area. Located right inside B Thrifty off of Route 1. They can be busy and sometimes just have one person instead of two so you can expect a wait. Theirs is board you can write your name down to save your place in line. There are 2 or 3 waiting chairs right outside. There's isn't very much privacy for threading if that's what you're looking for. Customer service is great. The lady that helped me was friendly and I was happy with my eyebrows. Her shop is located inside of the BThrifty store. Walk to the left and she's on your right. You will see the signs! I have been coming to this threading studio for almost 5 years now. They have updated their shop and are now located down the first aisle on your left as you come into B-Thrifty. What started as a one person operation with owner Kashi, has now grown to a several beautician operation in a cute "studio" environment. They have a loyalty card. Get 9 threadings and the 10th is free. The loyalty card also gets you a discounted fee. I think I have gotten 2-3 free threads each year. I have very thick eyebrows (that every day try to meet in the middle), and I have tried waxing, plucking, and everything in between. Threading has been the biggest success for me and has resulted in the least eyebrow casualties of any of the above. The staff here always check on what shape and thickness you are looking for. (Kashi knows my preferences by heart). They also check in periodically with new customers to make sure you are getting the right shape. Threading is pretty quick 5-10 minutes in the chair. Kashi makes everything pretty painless and I get minimal redness after her service. She applies a cooling aloe gel afterwards to reduce redness. Overall, I love this place and will continue to come for year to come. I recommend this place to everyone who is considering threading or looking for a new studio. read more

Probably wouldn't go back for a henna service. the design was just ok. Nothing I would want to show off or write home about. I've had better designs done for the same price. when I asked what was the difference between red henna and black henna, the artist said "well red is red and black is black"... ok. but while getting my design done I asked if she likes red or black henna. She "I like them both but black does last a little bit longer"... I think that would qualify as a proper response to When I asked for the difference between red and black henna. I know not all people gel with each other and we all have different personalities. Unfortunately that day, she just didn't come off as inviting. It was $15. You get what you pay for. read more

I'm slowly making the transition from waxing to threading, and finding this place was a great start. I had only had my eyebrows threaded one other time (at a kiosk at Potomac Mills). She took the time to actually discuss how I wanted the shape of my eyebrows to be, and the threading was actually pretty painless. I was surprised because my first experience was not like that. She used scissors to trim the longer hairs of my brows, and gave me a nice shape that I thought was not possible with threading. The woman is very nice and great at what she does. NoVa people - I know you've heard of other great eye brow threading places. But THIS IS IT. As an Asian, it's hard to find places that will accommodate to your fine yet full dark, sparse eye brows. But this place does that for you. They also have sweet punch cards that will get you a free threading on your tenth time visiting. The location isn't the spa like retreat some places are but if you want your eyebrows threaded nicely with the least amount of pain, this is the place to go. The woman is polite and courteous and her price of $10 is cheaper than going to Potomac Mills. I usually get my eyebrows done at the Potomac Mills mall but I recently discovered this place when I went to B Thrifty. I tried it mostly because it's two dollars cheaper than the mall. And the woman who did my eyebrows did a good job. At the mall they do it way to quickly and rushes. But she didn't, she took her time which I really liked.
