I had a very good experience yesterday Dr. Lashes. On a whim I decided I wanted lashes for a trip to Belize. I had only previously gotten nail salon lashes so way less so I was expecting a similar experience but closer to home in Virginia. I WAS SO WRONG. I got a hybrid set that took two hours. It's in between a classic and volume application. I believe the owner herself did it as she said she teaches as well. I got curled lashes that were only a little bit longer than my own (straight, nice length, doesn't curl and doesn't have a ton of volume). The application was done so thoroughly and its funny I cannot even feel the lashes. I forget they're there. I don't have a fear my real lashes will rip out either as with nail salon lashes. I was given a little lash brush for grooming as well which I never got before. I highly recommend. So excited to be 'ready roll' for my trip. Marilyn was very nice and quick. She took less than 2 hours to do a full hybrid set. Everything was good until she took a personal phone call in the middle of my appointment and continued to do my lashes. I didn't think anything of it at the time but it's possible she may have been distracted. At first I loved my results and the way my lashes looked. 5 days after my appointment and I've already lost a significant amount of my lashes. I use the spooly she gave me to touch my lashes up in the morning and they just fall right out. I waited 30 hours before getting them wet. I went Marilyn to get my lashes done when she worked at MadLash, so I was delighted that she works here now. She's a great lash artist, and I'll stick to her, however; I am disappointed with the business. The receptionist told me refills were 65$, and turns out they are more. Then I find out she was hesitant to book me as I requested specifically for Marilyn (since I know her) and she booked me under the wrong name. She also never answered the phone as Sr Lashes and she gave my phone number to the owner is error for someone else's. I get my lashes done by Marylin and she is absolutely amazing. If I could give her 100 stars I would. She is very professional and courteous and her work is on point. I get tons of compliments on how beautiful my lashes are and people are shocked when I tell them they are extensions. She tailors them so perfectly to my eye shape they look natural but full and long like we all dream our lashes were. I'm so thankful for this place! I got eyelash extensions for first time but the product I got was not what I wanted. The technician glued the eyelashes in clumps as well as onto my skin. I learned from Maryland, that she wasn't supposed to do that. That is why I was experiencing irradiation and pain on my eyelids. Luckily Dr. Lashes was able to put into their schedule and take off the lashes. Some salons I looked up required that you must have had your eyes lashes done there to get them removed, so I was so happy when they accepted me. Maryland explained to me what the technician did wrong and she also made the removing process simple and easy. I so thankful for this place and Maryland. I can't wait to go back there! read more

I'm going to give a fair review despite my aftermath experience from the photo. From the beginning of making my appointment to finishing up my appointment, things were great. I had Mashe as my lash technician; I had a great experience with her. I do love my lashes and have no discomfort wearing them however, it's been two days and my left eye is ridiculously irritated. It was probably a combination of having sensitive eyes and the tape irritating my eyes during the process. I have received multiple compliments about my lashes. No doubt she did a great job. It's just sad now because I'm really scared about going in to get a refill because I have sensitive eyes. I actually predicted this would happen but wanted to try it anyways. So, don't let me and my sensitive eyes discourage you from getting yours done at Dr. Lashes because overall I am pleased with how the lash extensions came out just not how I personally reacted to it which is not their fault. For reference I got hybrid lashes and the picture was taken two days after my appointment. I wish I could fully enjoy them because they are so pretty! read more

This was my first time at Dr. Lashes. Mashae did my lashes and was professional and my lashes looked great! Unfortunately, after about 7-8 days, I had lost 95% of my lashes. However, the reason for the 1 star rating has nothing at all to do with Mashae, but instead with the management/owner of this business. I am an experienced lash wearer and this had never happened. I called to see what my options were and was immediately told that I should have called in 48 hours. I explained the problem with that is I had not lost most of my lashes in 48 hours. I was then told I am supposed to get a refill in 2-3 weeks. However with 95% of my lashes gone, it would have been a full set and not a refill. Not once was I asked to send a picture of my lashes or come by so someone could assess my lashes. I became upset, as did the person I was speaking with. She suggested I contact the owner. I did. The owner responded by email a few times but I suggested a phone call so things don't get misconstrued. Especially since the focus of her emails was never about the problem OR a solution. She set a time that didn't work for me so I suggested another time. I have yet to hear from her. She completely blew off the call and was completely unbothered that a customer was unhappy. Why should she care.m, since I had already paid my money. I never once asked for a refund, I simply wanted to figure out why this happened and to see how I could go about getting my lashes filled in. As a previous reviewer said the business side is POOR. And although the lash tech did a good job, I would never support a business that doesn't care about their customers in the event there is a problem. EDITED REVIEW BASED ON OWNER's COMMENTS: Alternative facts is absolutely correct. First of all Marilyn & your "client" obviously told you things that were untrue because nobody ever mentioned heat/swimming. But, as an experienced lash wearer I knew to avoid those things anyway. You keep mentioning 48 hours like it's critical but I was not even in my destination in 48 hours. So you guys need to get your stories straight before coming on a site to defend your position with fake news. I edited the review for the sake of brevity. I didn't go into the petty details like you did, like how you immediately took the side of your employee and "ghost" client without ever picking up the phone to contact me. Also if my issue was dismissed I should have at least been made aware but as stated, your POOR business practice in this area does not surprise me at all. Your review makes it very clear that all you care about is defending your business regardless of whether the client is unhappy or whether your business was somehow at fault . That's exactly what you did via email and you've done it with me and the other reviewer who gave you less than 5 stars. That's exactly why I became disgruntled because it was obvious you were not going to hear me out. You were only going to keep finding reasons to talk about everything except a solution. I absolutely said I will leave a review because I definitely wasn't getting anywhere with you as your review shows. Keep in mind people, Ms. Andrea has never once talked to me, only her employee and another person who somehow gave her an account of my side. So everything she's repeating is incorrect. Yes, Mashae and I talked about my lashes because she had to take the previous set off. I told her what I wanted and I told her since she was the expert she could decide what was best. She never said I'm going to give you this look but they will fall off. But again, my issue is still not with her at all. Also, I have NEVER asked for money back/free lashes AND I even mentioned I was willing to pay a nominal amount because my concern was getting my lashes back to full. Money was NEVER the issue, it's a $300 set of lashes...you sound ridiculously unprofessional to even suggest someone would extort you for a set of lashes...but take note people of the low blow that she tries to deliver to distract from HER POOR customer service. However, now that you've committed libel by saying I'm trying to extort you, and saying I lack integrity maybe I should actually take this up legally. You have so much time to take this up with me online but don't have 5-10 minutes to discuss it with me privately. As another reviewer said, the owner's response is very peculiar. I have never left a review-good or bad, this is my first review ever because that's how bad I was treated. The story isn't that deep. The adult and professional way to handle this would be to speak directly with the client. I never faulted Mashae or myself. I simply wanted a solution, even if I had to pay.
