Yes, it is indeed healthy, but it's so simple to the point that anyone with some basic cooking skills can easily make at home. Some of the food is so bland. I guess that's why it's healthy, since it doesn't have all the extra msg, etc. in it. When I go out to eat, I want something that I really couldn't make at home myself. Not a big fan of healthy food, but if I were to meal prep, I would definitely go here! Restaurant is extremely spacious with a ton of picnic tables to sit at, and the space was open and airy. I came to check out their breakfast, and got their eggs, pancakes, and fruit. Definitely try and buy their GOE sauce- it is amazing! Basically their version of spicy sauce that tastes mustardy but so good. I drizzled it on my eggs, and I will only eat my eggs with this sauce from now on! Tasty and healthy - not a combination you come across often when ordering out. Take the pineapple chicken fried rice for example. Most restaurants would cover it with soy sauce and greasy oils. Here, it's healthier because there's none of that but retains a flavor essence because of the food being fresh cooked, the juicy white meat chicken, and the simple but effective sweet/sour sauce you pour on outside. I'm giving it four stars because of the price/quantity ratio. It's a bit fair if you think about it in terms of say, a McDonald's combo, where you're paying for quality and healthiness. If you compare to another chinese restaurant though, you might pay the same price but get food for days (you just sort of pay for it in other ways). The other reason I'm giving it a four is because their online ordering system isn't the most friendly, and you can't order the same items the meal plans in the restaurant itself that you can online (e.g. peanut chicken). November 2015 - bookmarked B Nutritious as a reminder to try it one day. January 2016 - went to the Fitness Center open house at work. B Nutritious was there and I got to sample their pineapple fried rice with a hint of their signature spicy sauce. Three days later - okay, it's a sign. I'll stop by B Nutritious for a meal to go for dinner. And I won't feel guilty about it because it's pretty healthy! I ordered their peanut chicken bowl off their house favorites menu. For $7.50, I got a large bowl of rice (I picked brown rice for an additional 50 cents) topped with chopped lean chicken and seasoned with peanut sauce. I went a little crazy with their spicy sauce and added too much. Crazy good and crazy hot! Portion was enough for a meal and a half. Even though I took it to go, there is plenty of indoor seating at B Nutritious. Very modern, open, and green looking (succulent plants as table centerpieces, etc.). They have a parking lot in the back or you can go with street parking. They are literally right next to the 10 freeway. Oh yea, they also do meal packages too (if you want to plan out your meals for the week) and deliver! I've dined in at the B Nutritious on a couple occasions and the food is so good, it's hard to believe it's healthy! You can either create your own meal by choosing a carb (or double veggies instead for a carb free option), protein and vegetable. I LOVEE the tofu with purple yams! Or you can order some delicious house favorites, mine is the pineapple shrimp fried rice. There also a house sauce at the condiment and water counter that is bomb on everything! And they have great beverages from coffees to matcha green tea. They also carry some yummy healthy snacks like protein truffles by lilys lean machine and protein donuts by sd protein co. The cookie dough truffle is AMAZING. And the chocolate Ube donut was pretty tasty as well. I've also ordered prepped meals from B Nutritious for over the past year. It's the perfect meal prep service! Tastes great and convenient for staying on my diet but don't have time to cook, weigh or box up my meals myself. I wouldn't trust anyone else to prepare my meals during a fitness competition prep and the meals are so good I've just stayed a loyal customer to get me through my days working two jobs. I got the salmon and replaced the carb with asparagus and broccoli as the veggie portion. It was greatly proportioned for people who struggle with overeating. If you want to eat healthy and don't have time to prepare a healthy meal, this is the restaurant for you. The meal was not strongly seasoned but they provided an incredible sauce for additional kick. The broccoli and asparagus tasted like it was freshly steamed because it was still crunchy and not soggy/falling to pieces. The salmon was on another page, it was a bite of glory with the orange sauce. People could order a meal plan(at a cheaper price per meal) or buy for a single meal. The meal is relativity fair compared to other healthy restaurant. This was my first time so maybe it was on their good day. I would be coming back to try their tilapia or swai with spinach and green bean. The atmosphere of the restaurant is soothing with music playing and plenty of tables. The location(near the freeway) could had been better but my 5 stars are solely meant for their food. The service was exceptionally well and the food took time to come off the kitchen but that mean they are cooking the food from fresh. In conclusion, the food was delicious and service was amazing. My family and I tried this place for the first time tonight. My 11 year old daughter loved her brown rice, salmon and asparagus. My 13 year old really liked her brown rice, tofu and green beans. My wife liked the brown rice, chicken and asparagus, and I loved my brown rice, asparagus and ground beef. All meals had so much flavor. We also ordered the house noodles with shrimp....so tasty. We as a family are trying to be more health conscious when it comes to our meals. Slowly but surely we are getting there. Cutting out excess sugars, salt and carbs is difficult...but with B Nutritious as an option for food...I think we'll be successful. Meal prep. So with that you know the food is going to be cooked quite simplistic with minimal seasonings and fat and each dish will have just a few ingredients. Before having a baby I would spend my Sundays cooking and preparing things like this myself but now I have absolutely no time for cooking. This place has been a life saver for healthy, clean eating. +Food - Again this is meal prep/healthy eating so the food won't be super seasoned. You can expect meat, carb, veggie. I happen to like eating like that so it didn't bother me (yes you can argue you can make it yourself but sometimes you don't have the time!) I love that they have customizable meals and they also have their house specials like Beef Teriyaki, Pineapple Fried Rice, etc. My husband and I typically order 9 meals and just each eat one for lunch during the week. -Price - It is pricey considering the quantity of food and preparation but for the ease and being able to eat healthy, it works out. This place rocks on the food front. But they suck donkey you know whats on the price end... I have been here a few times and thought it was tasty. It fits in perfectly with my bootcamp diet which really helps me stay on track. The food here is also genuinely delicious. This isn't just me, but a few of my coworkers and at least one of my friends. I finally got to check this place out last weekend. A hidden spot if you don't know the area. I'm not sure how anyone will discover this place without word of mouth or social media. Myob chicken ($8.5): I went with brown rice, chicken and broccoli. The rice and broccoli were both steamed and plain (healthy). I can't really pinpoint how the chicken was marinated, but it was good. After hearing my friend rave about their meal plans, I decided to stop in and pick up an entree for dinner a couple nights back. Pros: Portions are huge, I was able to split my pineapple fried rice into two meals which was nice. Cons: 1. I understand their concept but that does not mean that they have to sacrifice the flavoring in their dishes. My serving of pineapple fried rice came with a side of sriracha mayo which did help a little bit but I was longing for more. 2. I ordered online, and went to pick up my meal at the El Monte location and the employee that seemed to be on her lunch told me I mistakenly ordered a meal for pick up at the Fountain valley location. I asked her if there was anything she could do and she said no unless I want to drive out there and pick it up! Maybe she was having a bad day, or maybe she needs some tips on how to better understand and treat guest/costumers. Came here today since I've heard such good things about it from a friend. Anyways, this place is located on Tyler -- it's an interesting area. Private parking lot and street parking were easy. Area isn't too awful as well. The interior was really huge and cool. It reminded me of Lemonade mixed with a hipster bridal shower/coffee shop (from the wooden decor) with a little outdoor picnic area (wooden benches with table) meets a large indoor dance floor (huge dinning area). He was a tad shy, but once he got his words out-- I was sold on almost every item. Even the cold pressed match green tea! I ended up with 2 meal prep items (one for tomorrow) and the cold pressed matcha green tea. The meal prep items are quite interesting-- sorta like Chipotle meets healthy eating. The prices ranges from $7?-$13 (for the top sirlon steak). Also, for the meal prep items, you choose your carbs, meat, & veggies. For my first meal prep item, I got the top sirloin with asparagus & yam-- the steak was perfect! It was insanely juicy and flavorful-- same with the asparagus & yam. With that said, you could totally taste the freshness from the items! Oh, and they're totally not stingy with the meats cause my steak was A LOT! Like I was so stuffed from my meal-- Definitely worth it! Total bang for your buck type of meal, and not too much guilt trips too.
