First time here and was fairly impressed! I ordered seared miso tuna with rice I believe and my boyfriend ordered the chicken beef combo. At first I assumed it would've been something similar ( flavor wise) to ono's but no it was better! I feared the seared tuna wouldn't be flavorful but it was ! And it was delicious , it tasted fresh & flavorful and I was given extra sauce on the side. I been a fan of Spikes during the old days and knowing B-man's family connection to Spike didn't make me lose hope when Spike closed. B-man's food is great. Although I haven't tried all of it, I just like the teriyaki and beef bowls. 5 star for the food. The workers are very focused on their job. Today just experience a little hiccup with the service( Sunday night) around 7. Very busy crowd. And everyone gets the buzzer to pick up their order. I came by B Man's in San Gabriel the other day craving some teriyaki. It had been a minute since my last visit. I decided to get a half teriyaki beef / curry chicken bowl with brown rice. I'm not in Pasadena often and I happen to drive by this place and my sister mention it's on her list of places to try and so we stopped by. The place was humble, festive with Christmas tree and decorations and had a great feel of a good burger joint. I loved it. It was pretty busy too, customers in and out. I didn't know what to order so since the place name has "Teriyaki" and "Burgers" in it, figured I have to try both. I ordered a Triple Cheeseburger spread only and that was the first thing I ate and I loved it. Next I knew I wanted Teriyaki chicken but I felt like I didn't want a bowl/plate so I looked online for reviews and I came across a photo of someone having Teriyaki Fries with Teriyaki Chicken so I figured I'd ask if they can make it and they did though it was a little more money but I think $16 for this was fair. I enjoyed the dish but I felt like it was missing something and I didn't know what. I think if I ever try it again I'd try the Teriyaki Chicken with the Chili Cheese Fries. Very convenient location with plenty of parking. I ordered the katsu bowl with spam masubi and they had it ready within 10 minutes. The spam masubi was good, good amount of rice to spam ratio and right amount of sauce. The katsu was crispy and juicy. Good spot for delicious food especially after a long work day. read more

I was recommended to come here by a very dear family friend. He had recommended it because he knew that I loved Spike's that has been closed for a while now. I decided that I would finally try it yesterday. I ordered the #6 with a substitution for chicken breast. The service from our cashier was great and we received our food in a quick timely manner.
