We always enjoy B- Daddy's, the food was good, the jalapeño creamed corn was quite spicy! The marbled brisket was a little drier than expected but we did arrive just an hour prior to closing. Service was good, plenty of seating. Would recommend!

Best Brisket ever! We are going back to try the jalapeño sausage . We're not from Texas, but the staff were friendly and the place was clean! The peach cobbler was very sweet.

Reasonable price BBQ and actually taste quite good....................................

I'll never forget the period during COVID when this business struggled so hard to keep the doors open , almost closing several times as costs skyrocketed and meat became scarce all through the country. Instead of shutting down, the owners decided to keep the biz treading water so their employees wouldn't lose their income, even when the costs of doing so meant they were losing more money than they were making by the hour. Now they've prevailed with this new location on the heart of Main Street, in the Cowboy Capital of Texas, and people from all over the world will get to enjoy the taste of their trademark rub on that smoky, tender, mouth watering brisket, chicken, sausage and pork. If you're visiting Bandera, this place is an absolute MUST visit gem you will be remembering years after you leave. Texas friendly means genuinely CARING about the people who sit at your table and cooking with love- this is all TEXAS, all the time, with none of the cliched pitfalls you are sure to experience at a few of the other "bare minimum" joints littering this town. BDaddy's cares about the food they serve and takes actual pride in their business- which shows. I recommend the chopped beef, the brisket sandwich on jalapeño cheese bread, and their sausage. It's a family run joint, with BR's wife at the helm, so if female led establishments are your jam- check that factoid off your list! Welcome to Bandera Bdaddy and BFam! Thank you for being the true meaning of Texas friendly and welcoming all walks of life through your front doors!

Onion ring on top of a bacon BBQ burger. Hit the spot. Guests had the Country Fried Steak and Country Fried Chicken (they LARPED small town Texas on this trip). They enjoyed but didn't say it was amazing. The service and staff was (very) friendly and courteous but... 1) When we go sat, no one gave us cutlery. Even after the appetizers arrived we still hadn't gotten any. It took asking twice. And trust me the gap between sitting, asking 1x and then asking again was about 25 mins. At least. Our actually server recognized this and was apologetic (I think he got triple sat on a Friday night). 2) Our actual entree order was *probably* never put in originally because it took 50 minutes (and people who say after us ate and got dessert in the meantime) and when it came out it was hot. Which means it wasn't sitting around. Again our server recognized this and was very apologetic. Despite that, I'd go again. Vibe was perfect small town Texas and food hit the spot.

We walk in and there were at least 3 waiters around looking at us confused if we should order at the counter seeing a line there or just seat ourselves. We finally decided to flag a waitress and ask her. As friendly as people are in this town it was not the case at this restaurant. The lady was short with her answers and almost felt like she is mocking our questions. I saw that the must try is the Texas Spud which seems to be a loaded baked potato. In general from what I know baked potatoes might include bacon and my friend doesn't eat bacon. The way she answered about it was such a turn off! We were about to have a full mean ended up opting to just try the Texas Spud and a side of onion rings since she recommended that The onion rings are old and inedible we left them. The Texas Spud when it came to the table I ended up having a full understanding of it by eating it. So basically it is a baked potato with chili on it (no meat) it feels it came from a can and cheese pickled jalapeño and sour cream decorated with tortilla chips around it. It was ok but I could say I have tried it. The restaurant itself is very old. I believe it is the oldest running restaurant in Bandera I got to see The John Wayne Room which is western-themed dining room. Decorated with memorabilia dedicated to "The Duke". Also they have a salad bar that looks like a wagon. Just take a picture of it from far away the veggies and everything in it looks very sad! Will I return to eat there? Definitely not! But I do not regret trying it out

The Texas toast was fragrant, and the flavours of the sandwich blended very well together. My cousin got the fried catfish platter, which didn't have much of a flavour, but he said that means it's a river catfish. He is a catfish connoisseur and liked it. The jalapeno hush puppies that came with it were excellent. However, the coleslaw had a very odd flavour, and neither of us liked it. It tasted acrid to me. I didn't really like the fries because of the seasoning, but I still had a few. The server initially gave my cousin water instead of the sweet tea that he ordered. They served us our water and sweet tea in mason jars, which looked very nice, but the water was not pleasing to my taste buds as it tasted like unfiltered tap water.

Cons and the reason for the 3 stars...There weren't any clean tables and the menus were dirty...we saw that there was only one guy seating, getting drinks and serving. I'm guessing he was also the cook, because it took an hour and a half to get our food. Another guy showed up near the end of our meal and was helping take orders. They were obviously short staffed, but I was proud of the guys...they were hustling.

Since Bandera is a bit of a drive from San Antonio, I decided to make a little day trip out of it. I came across this café and immediately thought it was such a cute spot. Parking was a little tricky, with limited spaces available right in front, but it wasn't a major issue. When I walked in, I was greeted right away by two friendly baristas. I asked for a recommendation and ended up ordering one of their favorites--the Honey Badger. It was delicious and definitely a solid choice. What stood out most to me wasn't even the coffee--it was the atmosphere. The shop felt warm, welcoming, and full of community. There were families and friends catching up, and there was even a dedicated area where kids could play while everyone relaxed. The coffee shop sits above the restaurant below, giving it a cozy, tucked-away feel. After getting my drink, I settled into one of the couches and ended up playing my Nintendo Switch for a few hours. It was one of those rare coffee shops where you feel comfortable lingering without feeling rushed. Overall, if I find myself back in Bandera, I would absolutely stop by again for a coffee and maybe try one of their snacks next time. If you're looking for a cozy place to relax, work, or catch up with friends, Cowgirl Coffee is worth checking out.
