30 minutes in the drive through is ridiculous.....how do you not have chicken cooked & ready? It's called fast food.....

One of the worst church's chickens I've been to. They were didn't have any cooked spicy chicken so I told them I would wait for some to be cooked. After waiting 45 minutes they came to me and told me they forgot to cook my chicken. After waiting an hour my chicken was done, but he told me they didn't have any spicy white so he substituted regular. So I waited a whole hour for absolutely nothing. read more

I have stopped at the drive thru at this location at least 3 times in the last year and a half. Today was yet another perfect example of how to end up across the street at Burger King. Nobody is interested in taking your order at this store. If you are unemployed and really don't want to work - apply here. I'm an idiot; I keep trying to get service and fail at this "store". I really can't rate the food here. I've never eaten here. I've tried... If you live in Bandera, or if you are going through Bandera the best way to fix your need for Churches Chicken is to drive another 25 miles to Kerrville, Boerne, or San Antonio. You will save yourself a great deal of frustration,and as a bonus - they have people willing to work for a living. YOU CAN ACTUALLY ORDER FOOD AT THESE LOCATIONS! I just went to get Dinner. The manager is the rudest women, the didn't have any breast ready. I kept asking her if they could drop some she told me they didn't have any. Then someone said they are dropping breast, it would be about 15 minutes. I asked her to throw in a extra wing and I would take the wings, she said she wasn't going to do that and they won't let they count the chicken. While waiting the person in front of me had been waiting for 30 minutes already, so while she made their order and handed it to them she told them she threw in an extra piece of chicken since they had to wait. Then after waiting for my order the breast where ready and she gives me our order with just still. I asked her if she put in the breast she said no. I told her they are ready and that was what I wanted so she switched them out and gave me an extra chicken breast. I'll fry my own next time. read more

Came to churches t o get thicken but they had hardly any chicken . This place never has chicken .will drive to a real chicken place in kerrville like chicken express where you go and they have chic. Came to give them another shot on November 18 around 6:30 and again had hardly any chicken . The workers were making more sweet tea rather than take my order . Waited about 4 min and asked if they had any breast . They said no. So I ended up leaving before they even got to the register. Got to kerrville at 6:26 and got to chicken express. And they had plenty and even offered to make some fresh chicken. Now that's a plus in my book . I think churches needs to be knocked down and put a real chicken restaurant in place read more

The absolute worst Churches I've ever been to! Customer service was none existent! We waited (over 20 minutes) while one employee was on her phone, one on break, one clocking out and one catching up on her books. We will never be back! read more

This is my favorite place in Bandera. We have a large family and always get a great deal. We grab a box of chicken when we head to the river or out to the frio. It is wonderful to have Church's here! The place is as cool as can be with inside dining all cowboy style :) fits into Bandera just perfectly!! read more

I'll be generous and give three stars. Over the years it seems that it's a toss up. Sometimes it's pretty good and sometimes it's pretty bad. Sometimes the people are great and other times the people in there are disgusting. Stick with the regular fried chicken and fixins'... you should be ok. read more

I'm in Bandera Churches Chicken (coming from Austin) all of the families are getting off the Medina river and there are 3 people scheduled... I own two franchises myself this put a smile on my face Thomas, Renita and Garrett are killing it not sure where the manager is? But the AC is for sure broke 98 degrees (via iPhone temp) can't imagine what it's like behind that fryer but hands down BEST SERVICE in such a poorly scheduled/managed place they worked together as a team and whipped out chicken in a timely order. I went in to get two breasts and two thighs. I also opted for a side of mac n cheese. The chicken was just...OK. I noticed pockets of a doughy breaded substance between the skin and the chicken that was kind of gross. The mac n cheese was fairly bland. I have always been told this place is hit or miss. I seem to have come on a miss day. It also seemed that the man behind the counter with a managers badge was not having a good day. I really wanted to like it here...but I didn't. read more

If you want to have a successful business you have to take care of your employees. If they're taken care of and valued than they will make sure their customers our aswell. I dont give the employees two stars... I give the owner 2 stars. The employees are the geers that keep this business going and haven't got a raise or even a thank you from the owner in over two years... Hours get cut. Bills keep coming... People with a don't give a crap attitude! Do you drug test?I have never sent a review to any business in my life! I did own a retail business in north Texas for many years.If I were the owner of Churches Chicken in Bandera I would surely look closely at this restaurant,it's hard to make a change if you don't know you have a PROBLEM! Housekeeping is marginal at best,I smiled and greeted every one that walked through my business door,and not everyone liked my lighting fixtures.When someone visits your establishment there is no question that they to buy chicken,not just look around.It would be to see a smile,a greeting?I have been patronizing your restaurant for many years,Many locals see what I do,but would not complain,they just do not come back!
