Slow service and overcooked chicken bites. The drivethrough here was hopping, which we should have taken as a sign to use that option. Instead we parked in one of the bays and placed our order the old-fashioned-way (a lot of bays no longer had ordering systems and there were several with mobile order signs). If you get Summers for lunch, TIP HER $10 RIGHT THEN AND THERE She is so positive, so friendly. She really makes you feel like she does want to know how you're doing today and absolutely she doesn't mind getting extra sauce and napkins. I will not be surprised the day she quits because of better opportunities There's a young man who's a little rude on the microphones sometimes, but I try not to take it to heart as he just seems to be tired or something. I don't frequent sonic nearly as much as subway, but it's a good place for your buck if you understand where you're going. This isn't some high class, eat off the floors so clean place. This is such a terrible Sonic!! How is this franchise even allowed to use the Sonic name! Waiting for 40 minutes and never received our order. The employees could give two shits, guess they just know they get paid by the hour not by how many orders get put out. And on top of that the guy who took our order through the drive thru acted like we were taking up his time ordering two drinks and some mozzarella sticks! Helloooo you work at Sonic!!!!! I used to love sonic. Haven't been to this one in over a year and it's literally blocks from my house. Went two days ago and the app wouldn't work. So i went to a stall. Push the button. Waited eight minutes for someone to take my order (after the red button was pushed) before we left. There was one other customer in the lot. I don't think you should wait for fast food longer than it would take to consume it. May have been understaffed but could have at least acknowledged us. read more

The sonic in Bandera TX takes 30 minutes to an hour for 1 large drink. There service is very slow for how many customers they get per day.

I stopped at Sonic on my way out of town and was greeted with, "Yeah, OK what do you want?. No, "Welcome to Sonic. May I take your order." I placed order with voice on the other end being very curt. When my order was brought out I was met with the same curt manner from the server. Food was brought out quickly but I simply cannot get past the tone of the order taker/server. I was going to just tell him never mind after the greeting, but didn't. I did address his greeting and tone with him, but there was no acknowledgement that it needed to improve. read more

A long time ago (a really long time ago) I ordered a foot long with no cheese and every possible other thing on it. It was perfect. Perfect. One time. Then comes the sloppy ones, the ones with the wrong ingredients, and the pencil erasers in a bun; hard rubber hot dogs. Every ten years I try again; always ending up having my expectations beat down by reality. I thought perhaps a small town franchise would work harder at it. About two weeks ago I tried again at this location. Asked for a foot long with no cheese and everything else on it. Got a 12 inch rubber eraser with chili. Let me say this about that. I will fearlessly order a McDonald's burger, a Burger King burger, a Wendy's burger, a Taco Bell burrito, or Churches Chicken chicken anywhere in the country. Not because they are particularly great tasting - it's because I know exactly what to expect. No matter where I buy it. All of the fast food companies maintain a corporate standard. They enforce their brand. They are proud of their products. Then there is Sonic. Sonic has forgotten where they came from. Instead of turning out a good consistant product they are turning over revenue and stomachs. Compared to the proud Sonic of the seventies and eighties - Sonic is dead. Read this and be forewarned. Hi I'm sorry if I'm being a bit mean but my mom got so frustrated becuase this Sonic gave her a soda and it was to sweet so she asked if they could give her one with less sweetness and they just gave her the same exact cup and didn't do anything to it. They also gave me a burger with lettuce tomatoes and Manaise and started to get irritated about there bad instruction so the service was bad. And we paid for full meals yet they gave us no tatter tots after we asked for them. So I say don't go there becuase the service is bad the people are mean and they don't get your orders right. read more

Ordered before i even got there and it still took them 45 minutes to get my 3 drinks and breakfast toaster to me. Then when i went in to see how much longer my order was going to take they were extremely rude about it and they all laughed and smiled about it. After me standing there for 10 more minutes they finally found my food that was sitting right in front of them then stood there another 5 minutes to make my drinks. Just got one of the worst meals ever served. The meat was cold and burned. The bin was cold. The cheese and the bacon wet melted together and slapped on. I had asked for no cheese. I ask for mayo did not get any. It was supposed to be a Hawaiian bun it was not. The fries were cold. The boneless wings were also cold. The only thing right was the coke. Horrible service, bad food, and the WRONG food. First off, all I ordered was a small mozzarella sticks, and a 6-pack of jalapeño poppers. I waited for about 10 minutes, not really a reasonable amount of time... but I wasn't planning on making a fuss about that! Anyway, I drive off after I've gotten my food, as I've just finished a 12-hour work day and want to get home. After I turn back onto 16 towards San Antone I figure I'll snack as I drive so I reach in and find that while I have gotten both orders of stocks and poppers, they've given me 0 condiments. I realize how petty this might sound... but how the hell do people eat this kind of food without marinara or ranch!??? The menu said both came with sauce, and yet I received none. Despite being frustrated, I decided to eat some anyway. The mozzarella sticks were so gross, I couldn't finish the first one. AND the poppers tasted like CHEMICALS. WTF SONIC. I'm upset about this, $8.50 isn't a lot of money, but I don't MAKE a lot of money! I expect to get what I paid for, and I did NOT get that here. I will never come here again, and I will never suggest it to anyone else. read more

This is the local hangout in Bandera. You'll find all the cool high school kids here any given night of the week. I'm usually here when I come to Bandera or at Dairy Queen. Grab yourself some tater tots and a Route 44 Cherry Limeade. Not as good a Limeade as Braums though...just putting it out there. read more

It's a shame that one Franchisee can so badly tarnish the Sonic name and the overall reputation of such a good chain. Food was Horrible. We literally threw it in their trash can, or as much as we could fit in the can. It was overflowing, stinking and big flies were swarming around it. The rest room was FILTHY and all I could do was turn around and walk out! Now I can hardly drive into a Sonic without this sickening experience coming to mind. read more

Apparently when you ask for fresh chicken you get a whole bunch of old tater tots other then that shake was on point!

The guy who took our breakfast order also delivered our food. He was very friendly and efficient. I was surprised that I liked the morning french toast sticks as much as I did. There isnt many places to choose from in Bandera but my morning cravings were satisfied. read more

This Sonic is in need of some change. If you order drinks you will usually get the correct order, but if you order anything else good luck with that. Case in point my daughter ordered an asiago chicken sandwich yesterday only to get home and unwrap a bacon cheeseburger. Staff is not very attentive and lacks discipline in food safety. On my last visit saw an employee digging his hands into the hot hold for the fries and tator tots and shoving fries into his mouth, then reaching back in for more.
