This isn't the old B&V anymore. For those who are looking for Bob (and I forgot the other guy's name), looks like he's not there anymore. Came in today asking to see if they can install new sway bar links. I bought the parts myself since I wanted a certain brand. I have a German car. The new guy, Curtis, first told me that he doesn't work on Euro Trash. I thought he was joking but he wasn't. What a dumb thing to say, in general, and what about any other cars I own or my family owns that are what he deems acceptable? Maybe he once got dumped by a girl who started dating a guy with a German car and perhaps he has unresolved issues - not sure why an adult who doesn't know me and runs a business would be that immature. So I'm concluding that he must be bitter.
He also gave me a mini-lecture by asking me a rhetorical question if I buy eggs at Shop-Rite do I then go and take them to a diner and ask them to cook it for me. To which I replied, "yes" just to finish his silliness. Wow! I haven't been talked to like this since I was in my 20s and now I'm in my 40s. Bob used to be the kindest guy there was and also aligned my last German car, and my American car before that. I just re-did my front brakes myself and I'll do this job also...myself. Just wanted a break from being on the floor...but that's fine. This guy Curtis is simply no good and I don't think anyone should go here anymore...it's just not B&V as it used to be.
I'm a business guy and an adjunct professor of marketing...I don't speak to students this way. He could have said, "sorry I don't install customer-purchased parts" and he also could have said "sorry, I don't work on German cars." That would have been enough.
What a bizarre guy...the more I write here the more I realize that he is of no good. read more
