After my wife drove her car away from the auto center, she had the same problem and she paid in full the price they billed her for. This service center is dishonest and lacks respect for not only repairs but to the owners of the vehicles they service. I brought my mint condition 2006 BMW 325i on 11/23/23 for a "minor gas smell" in the outside of the rear of my vehicle. Note, the inside of my vehicle DID NOT HAVE ANY GAS SMELL IN IT WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF AND WAS SPECIFICALLY ASKED BY CHUCK SR. Upon their inspection of my vehicle, I was told by Chuck Sr. that I needed a fuel sender at a cost of approximately $750. When I picked up the vehicle the following day, I noticed the windows were slightly opened. Chuck Jr. (son) told me there was a gas smell in the interior after his repair and it should dissipate the next day. Well, it did not and got much worse and made me sick to my stomach!!! I called Chuck Jr. the next day and he apologized, said he was sorry that his mechanic of 35 years would give a car back in this condition. He called me later that day and said the rear seat leaked gas during the installation and he would dry it out and use a cleaner and it should be fine. We picked up the car the following day, to find the seat in the parking lot soaked and wreaking with gas! I told him once again there was no gas smell in the vehicle when I dropped it off originally. He and his father were rude and of course I did not put the seat back in my vehicle. When I returned home, I tried everything to remove the odor and left it out to dry for two days, nothing worked! I took the seat to an upholstery cleaning company and they agreed that most likely the seat is ruined, however they would try to clean it. In the meantime I had to drive the vehicle with no rear seat. I picked the seat up two weeks later at cost of $150 and to this day it still had an odor. I sent Waldwick two letters asking them for 50% refund of the repair as well as the cleaning cost. They ignored my requests and now I am filing a small claims case against them. They were negligent and could not own up to what they had done. I don't care how many positive reviews they may have, this is a serious complaint and they have not only ruined my car but caused illness to me. GO ELSEWHERE FOR SERVICE IF YOU CONSIDERING USING WALDWICK AUTO SERVICE CENTER!! Ps...they do not deserve one star, but Yelp will not post my review with a rating. read more

I dropped off my 2014 SRT8 Challenger this morning for Quick Time Performance (QTP) exhaust cut outs added to my baby. The cars looks and sounds even better than before when the exhaust is bypassed. I dropped off my 4.4i X5 on Saturday, hoping that they would give it the sound that the Dinan package should have. I was not impressed, no, I was entirely BLOWN AWAY by the sound that they have been able to make it produce. The price that they have quoted me at the start had ended up being the price that I paid to the penny. Dreadful place. They don't repair: they replace! Brought my Suburban in with running problems, misfire and not starting. 800 later it ran for a week and broke down out of state. Paid that mechanic 500 to get it up and running. Brought it back to Waldwick Auto with more problems. Put a new engine in it I was told. Quote 4000: end cost in excess of 5000. They damaged the steering pinion when putting the engine in and stripped the manifold mounts. Terrible. Stay away! read more
