Been wanting to write this review while I was still in the middle of my project but I decided to wait until Bradco and B&R finished up completely. You never know what can happen at the very end and I'm happy to stay that these guys did such a terrific job on my 2 bathroom remodel. I used them 4 years ago on my remodel and decided to wait on my bathrooms due to my budget. Finally ended up doing the bathrooms which is no easy task but Bradco and B&R was with me every step of the way. Bradco designed 2 beautiful vanities and linen closets which were custom made in their shop. I learned that remodeling your bathroom is very different from other areas of the house. There are a lot of little things to think about and so many different people working in your house, tiles, plumbing electrical. B&R did such a good job managing all those people and it felt pretty seamless. I requested that Manny be my foreman again same as last time and was thrilled that they could accommodate. We had such a good rapport last time. Angela designed my vanities and linen closets for me and definitely steered me in the right direction the style I wanted. Michael the owner was also involved through the way. Not only is he hilarious but he really tells it like it is (in a good way) and talked me out of some really dumb decisions. I'm glad I waited until I could afford what I really wanted, thanks Michael, Angela and Manny for such a terrific job and ending on such a high note. read more

I was standing in my breathtaking gorgeous Bradco - designed kitchen the other day, and it occurred to me that I had done something terrible - I had neglected to write to you sooner and let you know how much we appreciate the man who cretaed our dream kitchen for us, Fred Wylde. Fred went so far above and beyond what we would have expected in customer service. Whether it was staying until the wee hours and planning out our entire kitchen, cabinet by cabinet, or making one of many trips out to Orange County and standing in the cement shell of the kitchen making plans by flashlight ( no joke ), or putting out mini and major "fires" as they "flared up," Fred was always courteous and friendly. And extremely competent, as I am sure you well know. The kitchen is so easy to use and has such a wonderful feeling and flow, on top of being absolutely beautiful. And Fred had some serious vision in order to see through what was originally there - all sorts of 1970's appliances and rotted cabinets. The kitchen now resembles nothing of what it was before, thank goodness, thanks to Fred's gift of seeing what can be done. We would not hesitate to recommend Bradco, and specifically Fred, to anyone and everyone we know who is planning a kitchen/bathroom project. We cannot say enough about him. BUYER BEWARE! If you want good customer service and reasonable payment policies, I advise you to NOT work with B & R or Bradco Kitchens - same companies. They only pay attention to you when they want money, and don't be surprised if they demand 100% payment upfront before ever starting a job. Like another reviewer, I wanted to support a neighborhood business, but I wish I had not. When my counter top was delivered for installation, it was defective. I had to work with the manufacturer and installer to get the quartz slab replaced. Not once in the 2 week ordeal of correcting the problem did Rachel Pasterino, the Designer or anyone else from Bradco ever contact me to find out what was going on or express any concern! Then as the caulking was still wet and they already had 75% of the invoice paid, I receive a call from Bradco to demand payment. WOW! Where were you when I was considering canceling the whole job and switching to tile? My property is within 4 blocks of their shop - a visit would have gone a long way to have me not post this review. Another neighbor also relayed a negative experience to me as well. I am not sure who they hope to serve, but as the owner of multiple properties in the neighborhood, I will go elsewhere for my future projects. read more

We just had our bathroom remodelled by B & R Construction our now No. 1 contractor. We couldn't be any happier. We are a German couple with an apartment on the 33rd floor and we had no idea what it meant to change anything up there. Well, from the six contractors we initially planned to interview, four opted out straight away after they heard the magic number 33. With two contractors left, we decided in favor of B & R Construction, who turned out to be the perfect choice! But the 33rd floor wasn't the only challenge: Our apartment has the smallest bathroom one could imagine. Michael did not only manage to build the most wonderful bathroom with utmost storage capacity in highest quality at a very competitive and fair price, he also managed with admirable professionalism, patience and kindness the burdensome administrative procedures with an endless number of city inspectors. Due to perfect planning, manufacturing and plumbing skills all inspections went absolutely fine. Thanks to Michael and B & R Construction we now have a modern, glossy, stylish and spacious bath - definitely by far the nicest in our building. B&R Construction did an amazing job on our house and I highly recommend them! We decided to blow out our kitchen, replaced all 5 bathrooms and replaced a deck and bedroom on the top floor that had major water damage - this was essentially a total remodel of our house. We interviewed 3 contractors before getting going, and B&R was clearly best value and proved their worth on the project. We live in a difficult city and we were warned about how difficult permitting can be. B&R did a great job navigating all the City processes and got us what we need with minimal delay. We moved out for our renovation and B&R was very communicative throughout the process. B&R did great work and we are very happy with the quality of our project. Construction, by nature, is a challenge. There and always unknowns and it is important to have trust with your contractor to get the job done with minimal stress. My wife and I felt we had that with B&R. They always stood behind their work, took ownership if problems came up and gave us a plan to get things back on track. Our house is beautiful, B&R stayed on budget and we got to the finish line without going cray..... success ! read more

We used B & R construction for our major home remodeling project. Addition to the kitchen, we pushed five feet into the backyard, removed a bearing wall and remodeled two bathrooms. This involved stripping the walls to the studs and starting from scratch. The folks at B & R could not have been more professional. From concept to completion they were as professional as one can hope for. We called and three days later we had an estimator at our house. He (Charlie) was extremely knowledgeable and thorough. It took a good two hours and Charlie took all the notes and measurements. It took another week and a half to get the estimate but Charlie followed up several times with questions. Once we got the estimate we understood why it took some time, everything was itemized with a price for every item . We got some other estimates and no one was as thorough. We were supplied with their contractors license and all the insurance certificates. The quality of workmanship was impeccable and the scheduling was extremely professional. I will not be able to write a review that will convey my appreciation for Michael. I am in a horrible position with a kitchen remodel that has run 6 months past its finish date. There is a disagreement between parties about some elements that are holding up further progress. I've reached out to several companies to get an outside opinion so I can determine what the actual problem is and none of them even responded. Michael not only responded right away but he set up a time to come out and look at my issue and give me an opinion based on his expertise. He explained how he would solve the problem in a way that I completely understand and gave me the confidence to push back on my so called experts who are bickering and holding up my job. I wish that I had know about B&R prior to hiring my current remodel GC but I have other projects that they will be my first call on. Michael is a not only clearly an expert in his field but he's a genuinely nice person. I can't recommend enough. read more

Recently Jeremy came to our chiropractic facility to submit a bid for the bathroom renovations we need to meet all our client needs going forward. Considering his already busy appointment schedule at the time, Jeremy managed to rearrange his schedule to enable him to make an impromtu visit given the proximity between locations. During his visit he demonstrated an expertise and integrity about the scope of the work required, and the quality of his work that I wish all contractors had. There is no question about the value that I will receive based upon what I learned about his standards and the quality of work he delivers that will satisfy myself and my clients in the years to follow. B&R did a fantastic job on my kitchen and master bath. I worked with Rick Barnes, who came to my house for an in-home estimate. Rick guided me through the whole process and gave me great suggestions.He was friendly and straightforward which are two characteristics that mean the world to me. After going back and forth over some changes I made (Rick was very patient) I decided to sign on the dotted line and proceed with my project. We ended up going with a cabinet reface for my outdated kitchen and a full remodel on my master bath. Couldn't be happier with the whole process. Impressive workmanship and the guys were almost always on-schedule. B&R Construction beautifully converted our garage into this ADU dwelling with full kitchen, full bathroom and living space. Cabinets constructed and manufactured direct from B&R Construction. And, external building structure as well as yard beautifully restored while keeping its original look and feel to pass the Miracle Mile Historical Society requirements. B&R Construction didn't overlook any detail and ensured that we were fully aware of the next steps throughout the entire project. We've renovated many homes. But, this was our first with B&R Construction. Past projects were exactly the horror stories you hear from your friends. But, B&R Construction actually became part of our family. B&R did our Kitchen remodel recently and we are sooo pleased with everything. We got the cabinetry from another outfit BRADCO Kitchens and they recommended B & R Construction. At first we thought that the install price for the cabinets was a little to much but once we checked out their references we went with them and we are not sorry. Charlie was our project manager and he worked closely together with Ana our Bradco designer. They where a great team. During the installation we discovered some problems in our floor and walls such as dry rod and a pipe that had been leaking for a long time. Even though they could have charged us an arm and a leg they just took care of it and that was it. Now I know what it means "We do not have enough money to buy cheap" They are honest people that deliver what they promise. read more

After I finished my new home's kitchen remodel I was finally ready to start my garage conversion. I planned to turn my somewhat haunted garage into a fully customized arcade/play area for me and my friends to relax after a long week. I dreamed up a full steam room, poker area and arcade area. I was set on my vision and began my search through Angie's list and houzz for hours in search of perfect contractor. I called over a couple so called "experts" but was not impressed. That's when I remembered B&R, they installed my kitchen cabinets and did an amazing job. I called them up and 2 months later, I'm watching my son play Pacman in our new Fun Room. This will be my fourth renovation project with B&R. I've known these guys for years (before Yelp was around) and I am grateful to have them in my corner. I was referred to them through family friends and after researching tons of contractors in LA, I decided to go with my gut and hire B&R for my first fixer. This was almost 10 years ago and since then they have successfully completed 3 full service renovations on 3 different homes. All three of my past projects were completed on time and done right. I used B&R to do the install in my kitchen after I purchased it. Rick was a huge help and was very knowledgeable about what exactly needed to be done. I was not aware of certain things that needed to be done like moving some pipes, lighting changes, and wall changes. Rick educated me on what I could do with my kitchen after I discussed with the designer. He never pushed me to do anything just helped me to understand what could be done and how much it would cost me. Ultimately B&R did an amazing job all together and my cabinets look perfect. I'm so happy I was referred to B&R Construction for my cabinet installation and kitchen remodel. My project was very detailed and my designer is very particular on the contractor who runs her projects. She refused to use anyone else other than B&R. Thank god she was so adamant. We recently remodeled our Kitchen and Bathrooms, The cabinetry was made by Bradco Kitchens and the construction and cabinet install was done B & Construction. Bradco does not install so they referred us to their in-house construction team. The process was flawless and we could not be happier. What a refreshing departure from the usual horror stories my friends tell us about their experiences. We got a couple of other bids but decided to go with B&R even though they were one of the higher bids. We were not sorry, it was money well spent. Highly recommended. read more

I've built 4 spec homes from the ground up since 2007 and recently remodeled my personal home. I found these guys in 2009 after some fly by night contractor ditched my site. These gentlemen are one of the only companies that provided itemized and CLEAR estimates, superior project management and quality craftsmanship. We had a few issues but they were taken care of in a professional manner. They might be a little pricey compared to other quotes but their work ethic def speaks volumes. read more

These guys are Communication experts. I made it clear before I signed home remodeling contract that communication and honesty are two of my biggest fears of Contractors. I guess did not sign a contract with the average contractor. B&R Construction kept me in the loop with everything that was going on in my home. They completed the job in a very timely. The entire crew was very polite and courteous. They were able to work around my schedule so that I wouldn't lose business.
