His crew is responsive and hardworking, and when my timeline got tight, Franklin didn't hesitate to step in himself and get his hands dirty to keep things on track. He was very fair with his pricing and never took advantage of changes that came up along the way. His attitude of "no problems, only solutions" was a huge stress relief for me throughout the project. I had several bids from other contractors, but my gut told me to go with Franklin -- and I'm so glad I listened. Eileen, his daughter, was also fantastic to deal with. Their communication was excellent: they always picked up the phone, always made time to come to the job site if I had questions or concerns, and always made me feel like my project mattered. I'm incredibly thankful I found Franklin and wouldn't hesitate for a second to use him again.

Two wouldn't take the job because it was too small. Franklin came by and gave me the best price. After the initial deposit, his crew came by about a week later and finished the job in one day. I think they did a pretty good job replicating what had existed before, although the work seemed a little sloppy. I saw a few gaps in the framing, but they were able to seal it up with bondo. Also on one of the posts there was a large crack in the wood, but that was sealed as well. For the price, I think this was a pretty good value. Would definitely recommend for smaller jobs like mine.

He took the time to address issues that came up along the way, especially those related to the age and condition of my older property, and always offered thoughtful, practical solutions. The pricing was fair, the workmanship was excellent, and the finished project looks fantastic. I highly recommend Tomax Construction & Development to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, reliable, and honest contractor.

Do they stick to the price they initially quoted. In each case the answer for Tomax Construction is a resounding yes. I hired them to complete a number of repairs after a tree fell on my house. Thus far the drywall and wood trim has been finished and the quality of the workmanship was excellent. It was also completed for precisely the price I was initially quoted, even though some extra wrinkles were discovered during the process. I'll also say that Tom goes above and beyond to make his customers feel comfortable. It's very clear that he treats every customer relationship as unique and will customize his approach to your specific needs. If you want a true collaborator rather than a one-size-fits all approach, I definitely recommend Tomax Construction

Eric was extremely helpful and patient as we figured out how to accomplish our needs within a budget. He has great sub-contractors which knocked out their portion of the project on time and professionally. The apartment turned out great and we were able to rent it out at market rate immediately. So pleased with the work, we had Eric complete a mini-remodel of our kitchen in silver lake, which consisted of marble counter tops, new sinks fresh paint and a plaster over glaze on the walls. Love it so happy. Ok just called Eric, as we had an emergency plumbing situation and although busy with bigger projects, he sent one of his people over to solve the problem. I must say I have no problem paying top dollar for someone that is diligent, conscientious and thorough. To sum up, remodel to emergency EZ Plaster, Eric and his guys have done me right!!

We also needed someone to paint the entire house, including the eaves, wood windows, trim, and exterior doors. As the project progressed, we also added on removing a window, re-siding the back of our house (a long wall without stucco), installing a new back door, and replacing our old garage door with a brand new one. Through all these changes, Daniel and sons rolled with the punches and delivered an absolutely gorgeous end product. They even consulted on paint colors, and I could not be more satisfied with the results. As a bonus, Daniel and his sons are just the nicest people you'll meet (and you will meet ALL four sons). I know they sound too good to be true, but I promise, I'm a paying customer. They were just great to work with.
