I needed to fix the railing and posts on my porch as the wood had rot on the base due to water and termite damage. Got 4 quotes from contractors. Two wouldn't take the job because it was too small. Franklin came by and gave me the best price. After the initial deposit, his crew came by about a week later and finished the job in one day. I think they did a pretty good job replicating what had existed before, although the work seemed a little sloppy. I saw a few gaps in the framing, but they were able to seal it up with bondo. Also on one of the posts there was a large crack in the wood, but that was sealed as well. For the price, I think this was a pretty good value. Would definitely recommend for smaller jobs like mine. read more

Stay away!!!!! The rudest company in the world. I booked an appointment with this company, almost a week ago. They showed up today (on a holiday May I add) almost two hours early. Then told me he forgot his ladder and maybe we should aim for next week. So he showed up two hours early, without a ladder for an appointment we had in the books only to tell me "oppsss I forgot my ladder. Let's do Monday instead" So two hours early, unprepared than this guy gave ME an attitude. Stay away. Go somewhere else. These 5 stars must be posted by friends and family. This company is a joke. A contractor who forgot his ladder two hours early before an appointment then cancelled in real life and said "ahhhh let's do monday, I forgot everything" clowns. Stay away. UPDATE!!!!! I hired Franklin to replace 16 support posts on my elevated deck that were beginning to rot, and were not properly supporting the structure. I appreciated that Franklin was very practical. He noted that some of the repairs that other contractors had mentioned as essential weren't really needed. Although he mentioned that the wood that the deck is made out of is not long lasting, and the whole thing will probably need to be replaced in the not too distant future, he didn't push hard for me to do it immediately. Instead he came up with an economical solution that effectively addressed the existing structural problem. We were looking to get our kitchen reframed (move an interior way), widen a doorway, install a new front door, and replace the subfloor that we knew was water and termite damaged. Franklin came out quickly after I called and gave me a quote within a day or so and the pricing was well within what I was expecting for the work. His team showed up on time everyday and Franklin checked in multiple times every day on the team to monitor the progress (and even jumped in to help a couple times, which I think is the sign of a great manager). The guys were respectful, efficient, and did high quality work. They also cleaned up every evening before they headed out. They worked around the plumbers that showed up to remove the old gas line and run a new water line. When the door replacement damaged stucco, they repaired it without me asking. I never felt talked down to (which is rare when you're a woman dealing with contractors) and they always gave me everything straight. All I can say is WOW!!! What a great experience. I called late one day in need of an inspection and an on site estimate to install 2 structural support beams for my kitchen remodel. He showed up the very next morning. Did a complete walk through to include going into my attic and verifying that the work needed was correct. He was upfront, honest and a true professional.
