A store that sells a little of everything from fresh cold cuts, hero's, paninis, specialty items, and meats. I was starving and it was just a little too early for a hero so I went with a quick eggplant rollatini. The eggplant rollatini was delicious. Fresh mozzarella and ricotta rolled between fried eggplant and layered with sauce means you can't go wrong. The store itself is clean and staff is friendly. I will be back! read more

Friendly service, delicious heroes, a relic in Dyker Heights that is a reminder of a neighborhood that once was. Everything is fresh and imported. You are not bound to get something off hand from here. The owner is a nice man. He is very old fashioned; I do not mean to say that as a criticism. I got an Italian hero from him and it is practically spot on. The bread is amazing and the meats are layered beautifully. They do not offer much in the prepared meals department aside from a few chicken dishes and a slew of ravioli. For the sandwiches and butcher shop this is a must. read more

Totally saved my butt this Christmas! I was hosting 13 friends and family members and desperately needed a few things. I used to shop at Frank and Eddies but they're long gone. Everyone RAVED about the chicken sausage ring! It brought back a lot of memories from Christmas when I was a kid and my mom would serve that. Dawn was very nice and the meats were top notch. Thank you! read more

Really solid place. Came here to pick up a sandwich and some Mac and cheese balls. The Italian on a hero was really good, a bit pricey but worth it. The Mac and cheese balls were good too. Came back a couple of weeks later just to pick up cold cuts. Got some prosciutto and Genoa salami. Both were really good. Will be back and definitely recommend. read more

I'm surprised to say that I've lived in Bensonhurst my whole life (up until a few months ago) and I have never been to B & A. Now seeing it, I realize that I've seen it before, but guess I just never went in. That was my bad. Finally got here over the weekend on a rainy day with the husband and I'm glad I did. I came here, like so many others, from the mouth watering Instagram pictures and was almost scared away by the differences Yelpers posted. When you first walk in there is a cashier to the left and a long display of uncooked meats to cooked and ready to eat foods. On display above are signs with signature sandwiches you can choose from or you can have them make you something. I was first approached by Frank, super nice guy and may be the owner or at least the main butcher. He seemed to be the one in charge and handling things like large orders and questions from other staff. I had the pleasure of being helped by Jose. He was super nice and took his time with my order. I never felt rushed or pressured from him. I got a sandwich I saw on Instagram, but not on the menu with speck (imported prosciutto), arugula, tomato and balsamic glaze on a panini. I didn't want the goat cheese, but didn't realize there was no cheese - that was my bad (thankfully my husband bought some fresh mozzarella). Then at the last minute, I decided to go for the roast beef sandwich as well, but I told him that I wanted to eat it later so he helped me make it with gravy on the side and told me the best way to heat it up. He was great! Oh and threw in a couple of rice balls/macaroni balls for me to try! So so nice! Paul helped my husband and it was the same deal - super nice, took his time, never rushed my husband. When we got home to eat, my sandwiches when I finally ate them all, were delicious and well made. Not as overwhelming looking as Instagram, but good and yummy sandwiches. The sauces, marinara and pesto were very yummy and went well with the mozzarella in carrozzi. The zucchini sticks were good and so was the chicken parm and pretty much everything we got. It also lasted us for some days! B & A gave us a shopping experience and made it enjoyable rather than a get in, get out, next feel. Jose, Paul and Frank were great and we definitely look forward to coming back! read more

I've never actually been to B&A, but since quarantine started, I've ordered from them via Mercato three times. All three times, everything I ordered was delivered and all the meats were super fresh. Never received any bad meat from them. The prices for steaks are a bit steep, but they're really, really delicious. They also have a bunch of pantry items as well, so if you're low on eggs, milk, flour, pasta, etc., they have it! Delivery is made via Doordash, so you get notified when it's on it's way and when it's been delivered. They also do a mean prosciutto and mozz sandwich. It's a big boy, so it's definitely enough for two meals. read more

B & A is the perfect Brooklyn pork store / salumeria! Their heros are phenominal especially the eggplant parm which is made with their perfect fresh mozzerella. That mozz is the classic "fior di latte" with that unique sweet dairy flavor and texture that makes your teeth vibrate! Their hot roast beef hero with mutz and gravy is damn near spot on perfect. Their sausages and other prime meats are the best. Their salsiccia Barese rings that I cook on the BBQ are truly one of my favorite foods on the planet! The chicken version of the sausage rings are amazing as well. The service is very warm and friendly in that old school Brooklyn way provided by the most professional deli guys. I love the decor on the outside and the feeling got even better on the inside. This place reminded me of an updated version of the Italian butcher shops my grandpa and dad would take me to when I was younger. The guy who assisted me was super friendly and helpful. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Rabe on a panini for my dad and the Chicken Parmigiana on a roll and a mozzarella carrozza for me. I've never heard of broccoli rabe being on a sandwich so that's what intrigued my dad to buy it bc my grandma would always make good broccoli rabe I didn't try my dads sandwich but the chicken parmigiana was rly good. The sauce and the mozzarella was fresh but the only thing that threw me off was the chicken cutlet. I know how delis work and how the cutlets are already set out so I guess that's why. But the overall sandwich was rly good. The mozzarella carrozzaaaaaa OHMYGOD só good. Don't ever put another MoZaReLLa StiCk in front of me again after this. My standards have been raised. A bit pricey for half a piece though. I know they're high in demand but I don't regret the purchase. I needed to try it ! Recommend this place to grab sandwiches, fresh meats and cheeses, and also check out what they're selling on the pantry and in the freezers! read more

When my friend first showed me the instagram for B&A Pork Store I wasn't sure what to make of it and when I looked them up on Yelp, it made my confusion worse. I wasn't sure why the store would be listed as a butcher and also sell paninis and arancini. We eventually made our way there while on the way to do some grocery shopping for Christmas Dinner. Upon walking in, all my doubts and confusion had dissolved. Half of the store is a well stocked butcher and the other half sells cooked food and sandwiches, and somehow it all works. Even right now I am still amazed at how well B & A Pork Store functions. I was so thankful that my friend talked me into coming here. I was desperately hunting for a custom cut porterhouse and my normal butcher had already run out. B & A was thankfully able to accommodate me with a custom 2inch cut porterhouse. Although I had wished the filet side would have been a bit bigger, I was happy to get one at all. The rest of the butchery cabinet looked very well stocked and very fresh. Although B&A isn't close enough to me to become my permanent butcher, I would definitely suggest it to people who live nearby. The cooked food section of B & A also seems extremely promising and is definitely going to warrant a second visit from me. We had decided to split the chicken pesto panini and an arancini. The panini was definitely sized to share as we were both satisfied after finishing it. The arancini was light, fluffy and cheesy, exactly what I need in this classic Italian staple. Needless to say B & A Pork Store has definitely impressed me and I will be back again soon. (The steak came out amazing btw). read more

Went here today after waiting a while to try it! The mozzarella carrozza was INCREDIBLE and made it worth the trip. We also got the chicken vodka sandwiches, we were VERY disappointed. The chicken was very stale/dry and flavorless. The sauce also didn't have much flavor, I'm annoyed because I bought a container of the sauce to go. I also got chicken rollatini and tuna salad, so we will have to see how it is. I'm honestly shocked at how bad the sandwich was. I was not expecting that quality AT ALL. Overall I would only return if I was in the area and only for the mozzarella carrozza. read more

B&A is a neighborhood staple. Ask any of your friends who live in the area, and I bet you their Italian moms have been here. Of course, with a name that includes "Pork Store" in it, they have quality meats. Things like sausage pinwheels, fresh pork chops, and of course, steaks. But what we came here for on this day were the sandwiches. #10 is the way to go - it's the hot homemade roast beef with mozzarella and gravy. It's so good. Well, probably not for my cholesterol, but it tastes so good. It's inevitable that you'll get comparisons to Lioni's sandwiches (B&A's #10 is pretty similar to Lioni's #52, for instance). I have to admit, I ike the sandwiches at Lioni's better (they're bigger and they offer a much wider variety, almost to ludicrous levels). But B&A has you covered for the rest of your shopping needs and their service is better. You can buy deli meats, every variety of olive under the sun, house made lasagna, meatballs, pasta salads, and arancini/mac & cheese balls. They also have shelf stable goods, and a freezer section. You could conceivably do all your Sunday dinner shopping all in one stop. Only thing I'll fault them on is their system of taking orders. If you rely on people to queue up in an orderly fashion, without actually knowing who's next, you'll run into problems. But the people behind the counter are nice enough. Just don't expect to be in and out. read more

I have seen a lot of the reviews hating on this place so I was skeptical going in. However, I enjoyed my sandwich. The store is clean and is usually busy during the lunch hours. They have a wide selection of everything from olives, hot food, sandwiches, and cold food. Service is pretty quick as well. I ordered the vodka chicken parm sandwich. I was worried because they do microwave the sandwich to melt the cheese but the flavor came through with the vodka sauce and tenderness of the chicken. The chicken was pounded thin so it suited the sandwich well. Prices were reasonable as well so I would definitely come back. Nice neighborhood deli. read more

Okay, I'll admit it The "Insta" brought me here. After looking at all those mouthwatering pictures and videos of those delicious Italian sandwiches and meat products. I really wanted to come try it out for myself. It is basically a meat store so there's no seats for dine-in. The process of ordering is quick and accurate as the clerks behind the counter gives you time to review the menu on the wall. Got the Fried Chicken Cutlet with Mozz in Pesto sauce, and a Cuban Sandwich. Clerk gave me a ticket and I paid at the front; all of which takes about 10 minutes of the wait. Display is full of imported meats and their popular Mozzarella cheese made in house. The top trending seller is the stuffed Chicken, which many customers come in wanting to see a live demonstration. My chicken sandwich tasted divine, and the Cuban tasted good as well. Sometimes it's hard to believe the hype since social media gives only partial information. An Italian neighborhood deli hidden from the busy noises of NYC where locals go for fresh cut meats, sausages, bread, and sandwiches. If you are ever running short on time n want to pick up some prepped foods for dinner, you can count on these guys to have it ready for you. They have salads, crab cakes (if I remember correctly), lasagna, pasta, desserts, parmigiana, and then some. I was visiting one time and stayed at my friend's just a few blocks away. I asked a local where he would grab a quick bite at and he pointed me this way. He mentioned I'd be paying a premium and that it'd be worth it. I gotta say... He was right on the money about paying a premium, but he was also right about it being worth the premium. I'm a sucker for good prosciutto n cheese for the most part. I've had good ones, bad ones, and some in between. Naturally I ordered their prosciutto sandwich. The simple cold combination of fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, aged balsamic vinegar, and olive oil in a crusted ciabatta style bread leads to a smile each n every time. $14 for a guaranteed smile... That's why I go back each time I'm around. A real neighborhood gem. read more

When planning a 30th birthday party to feed 10-15 people, my husband knew he needed a reliable place locally, one that would deliver, and were quality is highly valued. We looked no further than B & A Pork Store. We ended up getting a 4 foot hero, half with eggplant, roasted peppers, and fresh mozzarella while the other half was with breaded chicken cutlets. The portion per person was HUGE! You couldn't even open your mouth completely for a full bite! We had leftovers for two days! Best part - we got free rice balls and potato croquettes with the order. Total with tip came to $110. Not bad! Make sure you come here to look around and ask to try a sample or two. I was really excited about going to B & A after I saw them on Instagram. It just goes to show you everything you see on the internet isn't always what it seems. The place is clean and seems to have a steady flow of regulars. I went there for a sandwich and ordered the chicken vodka parmesan. It took the worker 10 minutes to make so I was assuming it would be extravagant. What a joke. It lacked both meat and flavor and the bread definitely out weighed the sandwich. Let me start off by saying that the girl with the glasses at the cashier definitely should not be working with people. She is nasty and rude. In this business, customer service is key. The sandwich was mediocre. The roast beef was way overdone. The mozzarella wasn't melted. It was bland. Not worth it. Not worth the nasty cashier at the front.
