Having taken a couple Pilates classes in the pass, I wasn't a newcomer, yet still a novice. Faira was our instructor, and she was great at teaching us the various moves, and efficient with the time we had. Faira made the class feel comfortable, and the upbeat energy was contagious, during the introductory session of Pilates. I had a great time, and the class provided a great opportunity to work out different muscle groups. I highly recommend checking out Club Pilates in Cerritos, if you're in need of diversifying your exercise regimen.

Looking for a new fitness challenge, I decided to try an introductory class at Club Pilates. Registering was a breeze. My correspondence with the staff was solely via text message, and everything was handled quickly & efficiently. I was asked if I had any injuries, what my goal was, and reminded to bring grip socks, which are also available for sale. Inside Club Pilates, the studio was clean & inviting. Michael was the Pilates instructor, and he was full of energy & pep, which made for a pleasant experience. I thought I'd have a difficult time, especially with my tight hips/hamstrings, but I championed through the introductory class like a boss. Even increasing the difficulty several times. My thighs were burning, but I attributed that to heavy squats, earlier in the day. The pumping music, at just the right volume level, helped boost our mood the whole while. Overall, I had a fun & rewarding class at Club Pilates. I stressed muscles I usually don't hit at the gym, and increased my flexibility. I felt great, and look forward to experiencing the other classes they offer.

Plan to arrive early in case you have to park across the street. My main issues are with the strict membership policy and the crowdedness inside the studio. Most instructors are talented not only in their practice but in teaching their students. I learn and follow best by seeing a demonstration not just listening to a lecture. I had an instructor that just used the mic to give directions without showing us. One class resembled a karaoke session which was fun the first couple songs but it was dark and I couldn't see beyond the bodies next to me (they're closer than you think btw). I wasn't sure if I was using the correct form, where the instructor was, or what we were supposed to be doing. Fine for the advanced yogis but leaving us beginners lost. Overall I enjoy attending most classes here. A big issue is it's so crowded. During class you're almost on top of each other so much so that they have to stagger who bends where. The walkways get so congested and I didn't even take a chance with the locker rooms bc the people in there looked like sardines. I see so many studios other than Ra popping up left and right that it would probably benefit them to open up more locations.

You'll definitely work out muscles that you didn't even know you had and some of the classes are so brutal. But it's totally worth it. All the coaches so far have been wonderful. The class setting is smaller so it feels more intimate. Nobody makes you feel awkward too if you have no idea what you're doing. Sometimes it can go a bit fast but the coaches do demo the exercises. I like this place a lot for reformer Pilates :)

I was welcomed and given a walk thru of the machine and terms as the instructor knew it was my first time. He was so kind to do that! I'm familiar with reformer and mat Pilates, and currently work out 5 days a week, so was interested in trying this out. Humbled af. It is very intense and the megaformer takes a lot of care to not get hurt. Overall a great workout! The studio is pretty big and roomy. Loved the aesthetic and mirrors everywhere. Very clean. Parking was annoying because you are at LBX. I'd recommend arriving at least 15 mins early. Overall, a cool workout but not for me and would not recommend for beginners.

I wish she could teach EVERY SINGLE DAY and if she could teach some evening classes, I would be over the moon. Her classes are never the same twice and she doesn't believe that "repetition" is the key to a good workout; some instructors do the same thing again and give no modifications. Autumn's cueing is on point. She can modify moves to suit the needs of members. She is engaged the ENTIRE time (some instructors sit, look at their phones or just seem to phone it in). This morning's session was so awesome that I couldn't just not say. Thank you, Autumn. You are a welcome addition to LA Pilates.

It definitely moved at a slower pace but instructor took her time explaining movements and not as challenging as I hoped for. They definitely have regulars so there was a lot of side talking for a small class. I'm glad I tried them but schedule didn't work with my hours but would try a different class next time.

I was hoping for a face-to-face interaction, instead of texting a random number. They instead me to just walk on. They last thing I wanted to do was to walk into a class and disrupt it especially it being my first time. What a bummer.
