We were in the area and looking for a bite to eat. We saw the reviews and thought that we'd give this place a try. Walking in, we had a positive first impression. The place was busy and well decorated. However, the woman that seated us just had an attitude. It felt as if us walking in was such an inconvenience to her. Regardless, she found a table for us downstairs. It was a little unclear who our waiter or waitress was throughout the whole service but we were able to get what we needed. The food options seemed very limited and for a particular palate. Nonetheless, the food thay arrived was flavorful. The original person that sat us was there throughout our dining experience and just brought a negative energy. When it was time to pay, we didn't know but you had to pay upstairs. This was unclear. Furthermore, we had to ask what table number we were to make sure that we received the correct bill. It was funny. The original girl thay sat us was also the one that checked us out and she asked the people before us paying to leave a review. However, when we reached the counter her energy completely changed. This is a nice café and the food was really delicious Space was a little small so we had a wait the both times that we went, but I will say it went pretty fast because I think they turned over their tables pretty quickly because once you got closer to the front of the line they had you order your food so upon sitting there wasn't a large amount of time before you received your food. But with that being said, you do feel a bit, rushed to eat and get out so that they can have another available table. But overall, the food was delicious read more

I do not recommend. It's very touristy, the place is not clean, lots of flies, my french toast was a big miss. I asked for it to be redone and it came back even worse. How do you mess up something as simple as a french toast? In France??? They have only bathroom downstairs with a long long line. The Service was not good. Very busy place - so busy, that we actually ended up coming back the next day at an earlier time to skip the line. Food was fantastic. I got the scrambled eggs with mushroom truffle and it was so rich and delicious. Thankfully they brought out a basket of bread to go with it. Enjoyed my macchiato latte too - they offered milk alternatives, which was great. Ordering was a bit confusing - as our server was very busy, I wasn't sure if we had to go up to the counter to order, but they come to your table. We came here for breakfast, and it was a very easy 5 star restaurant. Everything was perfect. The service. The taste of the food. The actual presentation. When you walk in, you will notice that the seating area is very small. But they actually have a downstairs section, which is pretty and air conditioned. We decided to eat here upon arrival in Paris as we waited for our room to be ready. The staff was quite friendly and accommodating to a few tourists with multiple bags. I chose the Beef Bacon and Cheese sandwich on Toast. It was fabulous being accompanied by sweet Caramelized Onions. I had decided to only eat 1/2 sandwich and save the rest for later. That did not happen as each bite was as good at the first. The sandwich came with French Fries which were delicately salted and given a nice sprinkle of Rosemary (I think). Whatever it was, I ate every bite. I have to tell you about the Gingerbread Latte which I never heard of before. It was served with a generous serving of whipped cream which presented more like a dessert than a fancy coffee. I loved all of it. The notes of Ginger and Espresso (I think) was fabulous.
