The arborist said they were running 1 week or more out, and then the scheduling team tells me (without asking) that the crew will be there tomorrow (which did not work for me). They would not commit to large windows (like anytime after 12pm) and would only give whole days as an option. When we finally got something scheduled, I still got text messages about the appointment being on the wrong date. We ultimately scheduled this for afternoon window and were told we would get a heads up when the crew was on their way. On the day of, despite an afternoon window and a request for heads up, the crew shows up at 815am with no warning. We were deliberate about the timing because we have a newborn and the mornings do not work. The crew overall did a fine job on the work but the cleanup left some to be desired. I had to spend an hour cleaning up my yard and my neighbor's yard with all of the twigs left over. I asked the arborist and the scheduler to have someone contact me about my experience and I never heard from anyone. This company had the opportunity to earn repeat business and dropped the ball.

Jason and the Top Leaf crew did a fantastic job of removing 3 horrible Sissoo trees whose roots had…read morestarted to cause damage to things like our driveway and pipes. They got this part of the job done and ground down the stumps while also drilling holes (and placing a product to help the roots die) to prevent them from sending out bazillions of baby trees which they still sent out some and we dealt with them as instructed. Sissoos are resilient as all get out and didn't want to go down without a fight. Because of this we had to wait a bit to plant our new trees, beautiful Red Push Pistaches as suggested by Jason. His quote process was easy and the price we paid was below some other quotes we'd received, but fair considering all the work they would be doing. When the team came back out to plant our 5 new trees (3 in the back and 2 in the front), they removed the now dead stumps and the little cute trees were planted quickly and efficiently. The crew cleaned up everything, and both our front and backyards looked great! It's been almost 4 years now since they removed the old invasive ones and planted our new trees and they are thriving. Jason had great suggestions for which trees would do well, weren't messy all year, whose roots wouldn't be destructive, would do well in our hot dry climate, and look beautiful pretty much year round. As they continue to grow, they remind me of gorgeous park trees that I love. Also great is that they don't require a lot of care! But this year when Jack came out to trim my palms, he informed me that my very tall pine tree had died due to beetle infestation. I am on a fixed income since I retired and he quoted me such a good price for a very tall tree. Originally I was going to have him cut it down mid May, but because the weather was getting hotter, I decided to have him cut it down earlier. He came out yesterday and did a good job taking it down with minimal disruption to my neighbors. I am so happy it is gone because all the needles were clogging my pool vac and filter. I couldn't even tell the tree was there before because they spread my rocks over what used to be the base of the tree. They ground out the base and it was as flat as the surrounding area. I highly recommend Greenwood Tree Service to anyone who wants a fair price with exceptional quality service. I will be using them yearly for all my tree needs.

This crew communicated well, and I would have been just fine, but I appreciate their understanding. I always hate to lose an old, mature tree, but we had an orange tree that was dying. Removing a citrus with fruit on it is not a fun job, but this crew had it done in what seemed like 5 minutes. It was fast! They ground the stump, filled in the hole and left everything looking immaculate. Drew and team also selected and planted a new tree at a really competitive price. I now have a lovely, large olive tree that is big enough to not look sad and lonely in the middle of a space that formerly held a mature tree.
