Mike with Traders Trunk came personally recommended from a friend when I was shopping around so I called him and a few other contractors to give me quotes. Not only did my rehab turn out great, it came in at a very reasonable cost, much better than anything you'll get from the likes of major retailers and better than or competitive with other independent contractors. I've had other contractors come in for large-ish jobs in the past and none have ever stayed within budget or timeline, so when I was told the work could be started within the week and finished in under three, I suspended my belief. I was pleasantly surprised when the work was completed within the timeline and within 5% of the original quote. The cost overages were mostly due to discovery of minor items like a door lock and other supplies that I overlooked as needing to be replaced during our initial walk through and quote. I'll certainly be calling out Mike for any future home repairs, remodels and maintenance work I need done and dont have the time or knowledge to do myself.

He rescheduled for the next day and showed up right on time which I know from experience is a very hard quality to find in most landscaping company's. Garnicas Landscaping showed up at 7am and was finished by 7.30. Not only was it quick but very professional. They did not cut any corners and truly showed there expertise! My property is very weird with no side gate or access to the patio with out coming through the house. They were very careful not to make a mess bringing everything through the house and not to ding the doors with there equipment. I paid $1,000 in cash as a deposit and an additional $2,375 via Venmo for materials at his request. After payment was made, the project was delayed multiple times. Only minimal framing work was completed, and the concrete pour that was scheduled never happened. Communication then stopped completely. I made multiple attempts to contact him by phone and text and received no response. I also requested a refund, which was not returned. As of now, I am out $3,375 with no completed work. It involved an overgrown border of Bermuda grass, weeds, and palm trees that love to sprout every year. While they were at our property, we decided we wanted to get the palm tree skinned as well. It was something we've been putting off for many years. We were able to negotiate a mutually agreeable price. The skinning project was to have been completed on Monday but due to a variety of events, the project was not completed until Thursday. We expressed our frustration to the company about the project extending over multiple days and the debris in our pool between days. This disrupted some of our planned activities. When the project was finished, they cleaned the pool of all debris and made sure the surrounding area was clean. The four stars is due to the challenges we faced mid project. The end product was outstanding, and the pricing was competitive.

Took about 3-4 days and very happy with how it turned out. When we had a small miscommunication, everything got fixed quickly and they reinstalled the turf in one section.
