July AZ got back to me quickly with an actual quote (a fair price, based on the photo I sent) - plus they were available the next day. They made the whole process so easy, and I'd definitely recommend the company. And it was certainly better than trying to do it myself.

From the time I sent the message to the time he was in my backyard giving me an estimate was less than 15 minutes. That level of promptness is rare and set the tone right away. The price quoted was fair and reasonable, with no pressure or upselling. He mentioned the work could be done after his crew took a lunch break, and sure enough, about an hour later his team showed up exactly as promised. The crew was professional, courteous, and clearly knew what they were doing. They worked efficiently, took care of the tree, and had everything cleaned up in about 15 minutes. The end result looked great--exactly what I was hoping for. Overall, this was one of the smoothest and most straightforward service experiences I've had. The first time, I asked for the services previously mentioned. We talked to Scott about the shortcomings of their service and they came back out and slightly redeemed themselves. We scheduled a second time about 6 months out and clarified again what services we needed: all services provided including blowing the leaves. My partner called them 4 days before the scheduled service (the service was scheduled on 10/11) and restated what we wanted to make sure they understood. Today I come home from my trip and there are large weeds all over my front yard that still haven't been pulled. The leaves aren't blown. Makes me wonder if the yard was even sprayed for weeds. For the record, the tech who came out to do our yard was texting me when he arrived for the service. We clarified that blowing the leaves, weed pulling, spraying etc were included. He told us that everything except the leaf blowing was. And YET here is my yard! Unbelievable. We have a party scheduled for Sunday and now have to either do the work ourselves or call someone else to do the work CORRECTLY. Scott was useless in regards to fixing this. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They do not listen and do not do the work. Here's a pic of my yard currently. Just absolutely terrible.
