I am so pleased with Stan's service! First off, he returned my call. I am actually shocked at how many independently owned businesses in this area won't do that much. He stopped by the same day to look at the job. After installing a new front door, I needed the ceramic tiles replaced along the threshold since the footprint of the new one was different. Although he was busy, he told me he would follow-up the next week. AND HE DID! I didn't even have to call him back. He came with an assistant because he was so busy and they got the old tiles removed and the new ones in within a few hours. He didn't want to grout until the tile was well-set so he left for a few hours and came back to finish the job. Although he doesn't do a lot of tile, Stan did an excellent job in matching the grout lines. Not an easy feat given the idiot who installed it the first time failed to do that. Easy five-star review! I called Stan to help me with a punch-list of items for my vacation condo. I needed a latch put on, toilet seat installed, grout in bathroom, etc. He called me back in a timely manner and showed up when he said he would. Not only did he fix all the things on my list but saved me $$ by using some existing hinges that I thought wouldn't work. The next day I called him for advice after 2 failed attempts at getting keys made (that didn't work) for the front door. He came and worked on the keys and recomended a new lock. He bought and installed the lock (after I left town) and mailed me my copy. Stan is now my go-to guy for anything (large or small) in terms of home repair. He's as honest as the day is long and I feel very fortunate that he was available to assist me with my condo fixits. We called Stan after another highly rated service failed to get back to us in spite of repeated promises to call. We're glad we did. Stan got back to us in a timely manner and arrived right on time to give us an estimate to fix the tracks on some folding doors. Stan was very professional, very personable, and we really appreciated his honesty. We thought the tracks would need to be replace but Stan felt that was an unnecessary expense and after he made 2 trips to find the right hardware he fixed our doors good as new using the existing tracks. So glad to have found such a capable, honest, and reliable handyman. He responds promptly to my inquiries and is professional and courteous. I called him about a small project and he happened to be in the area and was at my house that afternoon. He patiently explained and showed me the different types of caulking and why he chooses to use that one for my project, and explained to me how the windows were set in my house and why I didn't need to worry about moisture getting in. This was my first time utilizing handyman services, and I'm surely glad I read the reviews here. I called Stan and set up an appointment to have him assemble a standing desk for me among some other projects. The desk task, though, was most important. He did such a great job, and in fact, went above and beyond. Upon opening the three separate packages, he quickly noticed that the workmanship had some errors. Parts were welded incorrectly. The screws and brackets were all loose in the package. I was truly disappointed since the desk was very expensive. So what to do? Send it back? Call to complain? Cry? Nope! Stan took care of it easily. He drilled some holes where they should have been drilled in the first place, and then did something else to one of the pieces so that it could be assembled to function properly. He had all the parts from these three huge boxes organized in no time at all before he began his work. Then.....he went on to the smaller jobs, and did those with such focus and precision. I felt completely comfortable with him in my home. He is a good and honest person...one can pick up on that immediately. Plus, his work is PERFECT! Lastly, he tolerated my elementary questions with such patience. PS. His pricing is very fair and very reasonable. I will not hesitate to call him again. Thank you, Stan! read more

Stan is great! We had a list of annoying items around our home that needed fixing, but that we never had time to get around to doing. We called Stan and gave him a day the following week and a time that was convenient for us, and he was at our front door at exactly that time. The biggest item was an 8 foot high by 6 foot wide, double pane 200 lbs + Arcadia door that is extraordinarily heavy, but over time it had become so difficult to pull open or closed that I found it difficult to do even putting my back into it with two hands! Stan was able to find a way to make adjustments to it and the screen door so that it glides open or closed with one hand now. We had obviously tried the WD-40 route many times with no success, and if these adjustments hadn't worked the entire wall of glass would have had to come out. Avoided a HUGE expense! He also leveled all of the European hinges in the kitchen and bathrooms cabinets, lubed and did a regular maintenance on our garage door, our front door had a separation in the woodwork (you could see daylight through it) and he caulked the gap and matched the stain so you could not see the repair, and also a few other nuisance items such as a leaky faucet and another outside door that would not close. He is very personable, friendly, fair with his prices (we were happy with our bill) and also gave us some tips on a few other things that we could do. We will be using Stan again in the future and recommend him if you need an all-purpose handyman. read more
