Where do I start about Dr. Brent Boyse and his team? This was my second implant almost a year after my first one. Needless to say, I am NOT the ideal patient when it comes to anything dealing with dentistry. I would rather give birth! My experience with Dr. Boyse, my oral surgeon, has been nothing short of extraordinary, a testament to his expertise, compassion, and dedication to patient care. This time, I had an issue with my work and the paperwork they required for my time off. Connee, in the front office, went above and beyond with the numerous changes they required. Dr. Boyse's surgical skills and his calm and reassuring demeanor are above reproach. On the day of my surgery, Dr. Boyse and his team explained the procedure once more, addressing details with patience and care. Recovery can often be the most challenging phase of any surgical procedure, but Dr. Boyse and his team's commitment to patient care extended well beyond the operating room. They provided clear instructions for post-operative care and were readily available to answer any follow-up questions. What truly sets him and his team apart is their proactive approach. They checked in with me personally after surgery, ensuring that my recovery was progressing smoothly and even sent me beautiful flowers for my recovery. This level of dedication is uncommon and deeply appreciated. Dr. Boyse's philosophy centers on treating each patient as a unique individual. Can I just say that this place rocks! I was referred to Dr Boyse and Dr Romney because I had a huge mass in my jaw. I also had numerous pieces of teeth and because I hadn't lost all my baby teeth, I had two adult teeth in my bone as well. Totally freaked out. I thought I was getting one tooth pulled. After an X-ray, survey was the only option for me! They knocked me out and proceeded to do the most non-invasive procedure they could. They removed a 6cm mass from my jaw... Pulled two wisdom teeth... Left two teeth in (would've broken my jaw had they been removed). James, Natalie, and Dr Romney are my favorites. I thoroughly enjoy the whole staff, but man... Natalie really has the best holding hand ever. James has done two IVs on me and has yet to leave a bruise. The bedside manner in this place is impeccable. I'm am horribly terrified of the dentist... But they are so awesome. My procedure was pricy, but it was expected. Not every day you have a ginormous mass growing in your face. My only negative is how long it took to get the biopsy results... Only because I'm anxious and impatient. I will recommend this place until I'm blue in the face. I still continue to have ongoing treatments. It has been infected and it was addressed and corrected... Very quickly. I really don't know what I would've done without James and Dr Romney. The positivity in this place is contagious. I feel like they are my buddies. They never treat me like I'm nuts... When I'm freaking out and crying! They try so hard to keep me calm. Natalie usually holds my hand and she's great. She even wipes away your tears, without hesitation. I absolutely love this place and the people who run it. I had my procedure done at the Superstition location, but was initially seen in Queen Creek. I have been back to the Queen Creek office once since then. So far it has been 1 month and 10 days since my first surgery.... Not eating real food is a pain, but it's a small price to pay to be healthy. read more

If Lori is still the collection agent. You can rest assured you will think its all covered by insurance But its not, you will you get a bill after insurance pays, and Lori takes you to small claims court, in which she diminishes you for actually showing up. I guess she broke the law filing the suite as she is legally not allowed to file court recorders on behave of AZ MAX (she's a contract employee that gets a 1099 (confirmed by the Judge at Mesa's courthouse.) She admits this is her tactic. Now this judge made is VERY clear that Lori is not legally allowed to represent AZ MAx in court because she is a only contract employee of AZ MAX and not on payroll. Don't let her intimidate you. She knowing took my last $200 and created a homeless person, when the thousands of dollars she got from insurance wast good enough. Walk away from her and dont pay anything. Let her send you to court and know that there's a technicality that the judge has no option but dismiss the case. Then ignore Lori and go to your car leave. Lori, You are personally responsible in the disguise of quackery posing as real medicine. Shame on you. And I want my $200 back, you bullied that out of me by threating that others will drag me back in court. Lori , if you are a human being, you will return the 200 to me. Snow, Carpio & Weekley, represent my disability claim now so lets go in with an attorney and see the outcome.. Send me my $200 Lori. I hold grudges and never forget. Edit HAHA! Look at all the reviews that say "Lort T voted for this review"' Lori T is the contracted collection agent who is not an employee of AZMAX and will send you to small claims court summons (illegally). Ill be happy to scan the court documents where the judge berates her for illegially filing a suit against me. Lori, send me my $200 so I can eat and buy a months worth of medicine. I work for an orthodontic office and if any of our patients need an oral surgeon, nine times out of ten, we send them to AZ Max. So there was no question where I would take my 9 yr. old son when I found out he needed 2 permanent teeth extracted. The appointments they had available for us for consult AND surgery were both within the same week that I called! Each and every staff member we came in contact with was helpful and willing to answer any questions we had. I was very impressed with the 'flow' of the office as well. We went from waiting room to x-rays to consult and finally the financial desk seamlessly. Everyone knew what was needed and we were walking out of there within the hour. My son saw Dr. Boyse who was so nice and had the perfect laid back demeanor for my nervous son. He explained a few of the procedure steps that had sounded scary at first but helped my son realize it would be no big deal. The early morning appointment was so helpful as an option, making it easy for my son to go without food and water before his surgery. The nurses and Dr. Boyse were very sweet and gentle with him, trying to ease his anxiety the best they could. Before I knew it, the surgery was over and they sent us home with very clear directions and an invitation to call if we needed anything. Such an easy, non-stressful experience! I am a big "Fraddy Cat" when it comes to Dentists. I cannot say enough about my experience with the "Superstition Springs" location where Dr. Romney and Dr. Boyse did my implants with hybrid denture placement. From the first day I walked through their door until my final appointments for follow-up which is soon., I have not broken out into a sweat, dry throat, anxiety......all that disappeared as soon as I met them. I will let them touch my mouth anytime they want. As a child, I had bad experiences with Dentists (they don't have the equipment that you see in a dental office now) everything is explained, all the staff knows that we, as patients, are nervous and frightened......they know how to approach and speak with us. We just got back from a trip......back East.....saw family and friends.......they thought my teeth were real., I was so proud to smile, I kept smiling......photos look much better.....I have so much more confidence now in myself.......these teeth feel just like my own. I love them. Thank You Dr. Romney and Dr. Boyse you both are very tops in my book and I can see that you care very much for all your patients. Referrals, you bet. Both my kids (19 and 21 years old) had Dr. Austin for their wisdom teeth removal. He took out all four teeth for each kid. Everyone at this practice is so attentive, competent and nice, it was refreshing to work with them. We chose Dr. Austin because he's not only an oral surgeon but also an MD and the kids have a bleeding disorder. He had an innovative procedure to deal with the bleeding disorder so no additional medications were needed. He was also able to do the anesthesia which made that part easier from a billing perspective. Although one of the kids bill to the insurance was incorrect, the office is working to correct that and have proactively kept me updated. Dr. Austin was great to work with, the kids felt comfortable with him and he's been there for all questions and helped with one post op infection. We mostly have been working with Dr. Austin out of the Tempe location but one surgery was performed at Mesa (?) location. We really like everyone at the Tempe location! I don't normally write reviews, so I hope this helps anyone trying to decide who to use for wisdom teeth removal. read more

Dr. Boyse performed my tooth extraction/implant/bone graft surgery and then a follow-up gum graft surgery. The first time I saw him, I had other health issues going on besides the abscessed tooth that I had cracked in half, and was extremely upset and scared about this surgery. Dr. Boyse was very kind, took the time to answer all my questions, and made me feel at ease. All of the staff at both offices were also very friendly every time I was in the office. I was worried about the way I was healing about a week before I was scheduled for my follow-up appointment from the implant surgery, and I called the office, and they got me in right away. I ended up needing an additional round of antibiotics, and the Dr. suggested an additional follow-up appointment for a week later just to put my mind at ease that everything was healing okay. I just had my follow-up from the gum graft surgery three days ago, and everything is healing well. I definitely recommend Dr. Boyse and his staff for their excellent care and expertise! read more

I went to Dr. Austin after a very painful extraction (with complications) from another Dr. He made me feel comfortable right away and took time to explain everything without judgment and spent time with me, no rushing or up-selling in anyway. He also gave honest advise. I went back yesterday to have an implant and was terrified! He calmed me down and has a great sense of humor. His staff are all very nice and very efficient. Very impressed with how they get you right in at your appointment time. My husband (who is usually very negative about other doctors) commented that they "clearly know what they are doing and can run and office". A huge thank you to Dr. Austin and his team! I hope that I don't need additional dental surgery anytime soon, but if I do they have gained a lifelong patient. I really can't say enough good things about my experience. read more

Az Max was soooo awesome all the way from my consult to the end of my visit on my surgery day. I was so nervous to get my wisdoms teeth out because it was my first time going under and ever having a surgery done but at the consult James the surgical assistant and Dr. Romney did such a good job in making me feel confident and at ease about the procedure. Anytime I had questions I could call and received wonderful service in getting my questions answered. In the end I was totally relaxed for the surgery which is so nice and important and Dr. Romney and his assistants were all so sweet and did an awesome job!!! My experience with AZ Max was excellent. Dr. Austin was warm, friendly and eager to find a solution to an issue that I had been battling for about three years. When I came to Dr. Austin I had already seen another oral surgeon where I was put through a painful procedure that did not help. I was frustrated and discouraged. Dr. Austin analyzed the situation, came up with an idea of what may be the problem and within 24 hours my issue had cleared up. For the first time in 3 years my mouth felt normal. I would highly recommend Dr. Austin to anyone, my only regret is that I didn't go to him 3 years ago. I was terrified to get my wisdom teeth pulled. I had heard so many horror stories and I had to get all four pulled, all of which were impacted. Always the office staff was really nice, answered all of my questions, and worked with me when I needed to reschedule a couple times. Even after I got my teeth pulled the doctors were more then accommodating. I got off work at 10 pm on a Friday and called the on call line and Dr. Romney met me at the office at 11pm. He checked up the next day and met with me again Sunday, which was the morning after New Year's Eve. If that doesn't say dedication to patients I don't know what does!!! read more

Today I went for my implant placement after my last procedure 3 months ago for a bone graft. I must admit I was nervous about the procedure. I love these people! Everytime I am there I feel like I am in the best care and that they really are concerned for me. The office assistants are professional, helpful and caring. A few years back, Dr Boyse took great care of my niece and she had very extensive treatment from an auto accident. Now, I just had a wisdom tooth tangled in the roots of my 12 year molar that decided to act up. The staff was awesome and professional. Dr Boyse is as talented as they come. I recently had a broken wisdom and a very badly impacted wisdom tooth extracted with AZ MAX. The staff was so nice and very helpful with everything.
