I don't recommend this company. They did not provide any before/after photos or documented their work, which included running a return duct from our bedroom, increasing the duct size to our bedroom, sealing open spaces in our attic, and adding blow-in insulation. The A/C tune-up was never scheduled or performed, so a month later, I had my A/C rep do the spring servicing. He went into the attic and took these photos of shoddy work (see below). I asked for photos and had questions about the blower device they installed, but never heard back on my emails or voicemails. BTW - no text access to this company. DO NOT USE THEM! This company should be ashamed and embarrassed about the lack of customer service and appalling professionalism. Not only did you install a low end water heater in our home, but Jonathan didn't feel like nor had the proper tools with him in his truck to fix our water heater leak and pawned it off to have a handyman fix it and then proceeded to tell us it's just a TPT Valve issue. Our handyman spend hours trying to fix this problem taking multiple trips to ace hardware, he couldn't fix it. So, we then had to have a plumber come out (another additional cost on top of paying our handyman) to replace our water heater completely because that was the issue the entire time. We are in this situation now because of your company and I'm livid. You should really cover all these additional charges we had to fork over to our handyman and plumber as this water heater you installed is still under warranty. The water heater your company installed is busted and this was your responsibility to fix in the first place. Very poor company. We spent 10K making our home "energy efficient" and you don't have the decency to replace our water heater when it's under warranty and also THATS YOUR JOB! What a scam! read more

I had used AZ Energy Efficient Home on a previous home I owned, was happy with the work they did there, and engaged with them on my new home. I have a single-car garage I converted into a woodworking shop and was convinced, with this summer's heat, to get the garage insulated and to add a mini-split cooling/heating unit. I received a couple of quotes for the job and found the combination service from AZ Energy Efficient Home to be the best value - they were the only company I interviewed that could do both projects: insulate the attic and do the HVAC work. I had a 100-amp sub-panel installed in the workshop and that served as the power source for the mini-split. Access to the garage attic was through a previous portal cut to install the sub-panel. They blew fiberglass insulation into the attic. They they cut a 4" hole in between each of the wall studs in order to blow fiberglass insulation into the cavities. They re-sealed each of the holes and the attic access portal when finished and my wife and I re-painted the affected areas. The mini-split was installed in a single day and the line-set was installed inside the wall in the workshop and enclosed in a cover outside. The cover makes the line-set very unobtrusive. It was a very clean, efficient and professional job. There was good communication and the job was explained to me very thoroughly before they started. I'm very happy with the work they did and I can tell a significant difference in the comfort level in the workshop. Because it's a heat-pump it will both cool and heat the work space. I would do business with AZ Energy Efficient Home again. read more

"Straight Scam" Typically I don't bother with writing a review after poor service but this was so ridiculous I am compelled to write a review because this was a Straight Scam Problem #1, After I paid, It took a month to get the "detail energy audit" Problem #2, The so called "detail energy audit" could not be further from the truth, effectively you pay them to provide a quote Yes! you read that correctly, you pay $99 to find out how much it will be increase efficiency. I had to ask what they found in the audit and I got maybe a cryptic ~5 word response OVER THE PHONE. We had the most incredible experience with AZ Energy Efficient Home! We purchased our home last Fall and when the first summer rolled around, we noticed that the house never cooled down to the set temperature in the hot afternoons. We also noticed air coming out of our electrical outlets and other odd places, so at that point, we knew we had a problem. AZ EEH sent out their team to run energy efficiency tests and quickly found that we had a great deal of leaks in the attic, walls, and ductwork. The best part, this service is backed by SRP and with their warranty, it was super affordable + worth every penny. We opted to remove the old ductwork entirely, vacuum out the attic, seal up all of the holes/leaks, and replace it with all new ductwork. They completed the job in 3 days and now our house cools perfectly! While this is a pricey job, they have financing options that make it fit into your lifestyle. Everything from the inspection with pictures of areas that needed work to end result of even air flow in the entire house has been the best money we have ever spent on this house! I just got my Home Energy Report from APS giving me the last 2 months comparison with my neighbors. It says I used 45% less electricity than my efficient neighbors. I live in a 1974, 2100 sq.ft. home. That is 806kWh compared to the 2,186kWh used by my other neighbors with homes that are similar to mine. I had Jon come by my house to do the energy audit, and he provided me with a full report of his findings including pictures. He was very kind, professional, and answered all of my questions. (I had a lot, I'm a first time homeowner). His team was proficient and courteous. After they finished, Jon even came by personally to inspect the work they did and make sure I was satisfied with it. They did high quality work that I have had no issues with since they did it 6 months ago. Another reason why I am so satisfied with thier work is because it has made a significant improvement in the air quality of my house. My daughter's ages 2yrs and 4yrs had previously needed breathing treatments quite often for the respiratory reactions they had been having in response to environmental allergens. Their symptoms were most severe when the weather changed and we needed to turn the heat on, or have the air going. Az Energy Efficient cleaned out my dusty attic, reinsulated, sealed leaks in air flow, and much more. Since then, my girls have not need breathing treatments nearly as much. Jonathan and his team are AMAZING! I moved into an older house in May 2015. My AC bills were outrageous to say the least so I contacted APS to have an Energy Efficiency Audit done. Jonathon arrived promptly and thoroughly explained the work he was going to do and the anticipated timeframe. Judging by the look on his face as he went from room to room I could tell it wasn't going to turn out well so I prepared for the worst. It was one of the least efficient homes he'd seen. He outlined the work that needed to be done and explained it in detail (with pictures) to me and my husband. Needless to say, we had the work done. His crew was fantastic! I was reluctant to write a review right away because it was still winter and I knew the true test would be during the summer months. I am pleased to report back that my APS bills are just under HALF of what they were 1 year ago! The money I am saving in APS is paying for the cost of the repairs.
