I initially signed up for CPR/AED/First Aid training through this company for my staff, but…read moreunfortunately, the booking experience was extremely disappointing. It was confusing and disorganized, with conflicting information and multiple back-to-back emails and calls. After finally confirming a date and submitting the deposit, I received a flurry of three separate emails with important next steps--such as the requirement to purchase a $20 manual for every participant and details about what we needed to provide for the training at our location. These should have been communicated before payment was made, or at the very least, combined into one clear and organized email. The inconsistent formatting and fonts as well as the last-minute information added to the frustration and came across as unprofessional. Due to these issues my team ultimately decided to cancel the training. While we were hopeful based on the positive reviews about the instructors themselves, the coordination and scheduling process for hosting a class at our company's location definitely needs improvement to ensure a better customer experience.

I was disappointed in my experience with this place. I registered for the BLS/CPR/AED certification…read moreclass. I'm just a layperson who was taking this for my own education, to be able to provide CPR for my child, spouse, etc if ever needed. It turns out this is the same class that medical providers have to take for their certification, so it was a little confusing, as some of the focus is on using equipment that I would never have. I wish the website had made it more obvious who the class is for and what the focus is. I don't know if there was a better option available for people like me, or if this is the only class offered for anyone to learn CPR, but it definitely wasn't clear. After registering, I immediately got a confirmation email that said I was required to purchase and bring a copy of the 2020 AHA BLS Provider Manual. Again, this was not stated anywhere on the website when I was registering, so it was a bit frustrating that there was an additional expense I wasn't aware of. At the class, nobody else had the book, and it wasn't used at all. I even tried to follow along in the book with the presenter's content, but with the way he presented, it wasn't possible. It was completely pointless to buy this book that they said was a requirement. The class itself was not nearly as thorough as I expected. It only lasted about an hour, and the instructor frequently referred to specific questions that would be on the test, and how to answer them. For one - that actually made the test more confusing, because it led to me overthinking the wording of a lot of the questions. And two - I cared a lot less about the test, and a lot more about actually learning the skills and how to apply them in real life. I felt like I missed out on a lot of good and important information because he was more focused on us knowing how to regurgitate the test answers instead of a good understanding of what to actually do in an emergency. He also told a lot of personal stories and jokes, which I get makes the class more enjoyable for people, but when the class is so short and the content suffers as a result, I don't think that's the right approach for such important subject matter. When it came time for the test, there were a number of questions that I don't think we had even covered so I had to just make my best guess anyway. I did manage to pass the test, but my spouse did not, and felt like the class did not adequately address the questions on it. My spouse was given the CPR certification anyway. We did get hands-on skills practice with the CPR dummies, which was the most important part to me, so at least there's that. The instructor was very nice, but his style of teaching did not leave me feeling prepared or like I got my money's worth.
