It's a nice school for many graduate programs. It's a pretty big campus but not too big where you would get lost. I think the buildings are all short walking distance. The faculty is really nice and they seem like they are easy to talk to. It's a very clean campus too. Their dental, eye, and vet clinics are right across the street in walking distance. The classrooms are decent size with a nice new look. The desks are a good size. Their labs are nice with new equipment and they have a nice cafeteria and a library. We mostly went around the optometry area. They had a couple big lecture halls or auditorium where they would hold their white coat ceremony. It's a nice newly look campus. The only down side is that parking can get difficult because they are all taken.

As I'm nearing the last leg of graduate school and looking into professional schools, I am weighing all my options before applications are sent out on June 1st. A doctor friend of mine did a post-bacc program here, and he recommended I come and check out the campus and speak with the staff members. This campus is pretty big, and their facilities are very modern. When my friend came to school here, it was before all the construction took place. Now the brand new facilities house students in their DO, PA, DVM, and post-bacc programs. I sat down with some of the faculty member here and inquired about their admissions criteria, their match rates, and where my application stood. So I have a good application thus far, but the MCAT will determine it all. There are good post-bacc options: the 1-year MA program, and the 2-year program with an emphasis on research. They are good feeder programs to the professional school on this campus. A good option to keep in mind. The environment itself is good for studying, as there are no distractions and the students are very focused. Will I end up here in the next step of schooling? Time will tell. But I am impressed by their school, and it's only a 6-hour drive from LA.

    Shhh! It's the library!

Ask the Community - Midwestern University

If it quiet in their library and can anyone access it? I am looking for a quiet place to study for my exams and the public libraries around here are atrocious - patrons and staff are loud and don't care that others are trying to study...

Hi Felicity, the Midwestern University Library is only available to our students, staff, and faculty.

The staff (shout out to Courtney) was so nice and kept me in the loop via text (even a pic of her playing with toys after her surgery) the entire time.

What sets this school apart is how intentionally they integrate faith into every part of the student experience. Every professor is a committed Christian, and they don't just teach -- they mentor, pray for, encourage and genuinely care about their students. At ACU, every student graduates with a minor in Biblical Studies, regardless of major. It's not just about getting a degree -- it's about being equipped to make an impact in the world, rooted in Biblical truth. The small class sizes are a huge plus too! You're not just a number here. Professors know your name, and there's a real sense of community and purpose on campus. Whether you're studying psychology, business, education, or any other program, ACU challenges you to think critically and lead courageously -- all from a biblical worldview. The campus is beautiful, growing, and full of life. Chapel is powerful, student life is vibrant, and there's always something happening and a community to get plugged into. If you're looking for a Christ-centered university that combines rigorous academics, strong values, and a mission to transform culture with truth, Arizona Christian University is the place. It's courageously Christian! Roll Storm!!

This school does not have a policy regarding when a professor has to return an email. It could take…read moredays before you hear back. Do not complain, because they do not care. The professors can assign assignments and go over the assignment for a couple of class periods, and then disappear for a few weeks at a time. If you need help, hopefully you can get a hold of the professor. Tracking that professor down might be hard to do. Not in the classroom during class hours. Feedback on assignments, just a score generally. If you have a disability and have paperwork to back you up from a neuropsychologist, and the main campus in Indiana approved them, the school director in Arizona can take those away before you get to use them. The first time my son needed to use his accommodations for a midterm, the director refused to honor them. Her response she just wanted to see how he could do without it. Yes, the school receives federal money they do not care. It can be seen as discrimination and possibly against the law under the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. If you have a disability, you might want to think it over before coming to school here. I agree with Paul U. Staff cares only about the money. Sadly, not the student. This school allowed a teacher to walk into another classroom to talk about how she felt about President Trump. It was not pretty. Not sure about the Christian aspect of the school. I have not seen many Christian values shown here.

I've been to colleges where you could walk into the financial aid office and get help. Not here. It's literally just: FAFSA... if you are not completely broke, you pretty much don't qualify for any real help. Of course they act like you're supposed to think that loans are actually "financial aid". which is baloney. loans are just DEBT. When it comes to this school being a "christian" school, that is a complete JOKE. The cute Bible verses on walls around campus do not fool me. This place is woke, progressive and about as unchristian as they come. Some of the professors are halfway decent but some swear like sailors... not exactly real spiritual material.
