I love going here for quick, authentic sushi. The green tea ice cream is also really good.

The shusi is really good, the okonomiyaki is topnotch, and the service is the best you will get in K-town.

As typical, quite a lot of items were forgotten (meaning never delivered to our table) so we re-ordered those. Some items showed up much later... Salmon and tuna nigiri were plain this time... We've learned our lesson - don't visit Kahori with a large group. Too many items end up missing in action, everything's placed on the same plates for sharing, and sometimes the waiting after ordering is quite long. On the plus side, the unagi was wonderful as usual. I'm happy to say I knocked down 17 pieces of unagi nigiri.

READ THIS BEFORE YOU GO!…read more Beware. Eat at your own risk, but I would recommend going somewhere (anywhere) else. When you walk in, the room is clean and looks nicely decorated. The hostess brings an iPad over and explains how to order. 'Order as much as you want, but no leftovers.' Ok. So I can't take any food home, right? Wrong. They will charge you for any food you do not eat! On top of what they charge you for the food in the first place! I'm all for not wasting food, but this feels like a scam for several reasons. Reasons this feels like a scam: 1. The sushi is 90% rice. Nigiri, huge rice ball topped with mushy fish. Rolls, way too much rice wrapped around mushy fish with brown avocado, mayonnaise and dried out out imitation crab meat. Topped with discolored tuna. Tasted as bad as it looked. 2. Gyoza. This was a fundamental nightmare. Undercooked, swimming in oil, falling apart and completely lacking in texture. 3. Tempura. Neither the shrimp nor the vegetables were coated in an actual tempura batter. The shrimp were coated in panko breadcrumbs and the veggies were battered in something thick and heavy. Tempura should be light & crispy. Not swimming in oil, heavy and dark dark brown. ~Remember....no leftovers!~ 4. Shrimp. Poopy poopy shrimp. See my picture for proof. And mushy. No texture whatsoever. Disgusting. 5. Egg rolls and spring rolls. Burnt on the outside, more weird tasting filling and undercooked dough on the inside. 6. Beef noodle soup. Ramen noodles like from the package overcooked to the point of disintegration, making the broth cloudy and starchy. I couldn't pick the noodles up with chopsticks because they kept getting smushed. Beef was chewy and slimy. Another nightmare of cooking techniques. Whoever runs the kitchen is doing not just a bad job, but the worst job. There were so many fundamental screw ups with this meal that I'm shocked this place is still open. When we decided to pay, the hostess came back, looked at the table and said 'oh, we charge for the leftovers.' What?!? No. I told her why we didn't eat the nasty food and she told us we should have told them before we got ready to pay. She said: 'I TOLD you no leftovers!' I told her it was clearly not our fault the food was bad and we COULDN'T eat it. Pointed out all the problems and she told us to just go, it was okay. 'But next time, tell us sooner.' Lady, there will certainly NOT be a next time. I'm sorry there was a first time. Stay away! Your wallet and stomach will thank you.

The decor was very beautiful and the bathrooms were clean. The pho arrived in a large bowl with a big portion of meat and noodles. It was filling however the pho was overly salty and heavy on the MSG. I felt paralyzed from all the monosodium glutamate in the broth and guzzled a liter of water immediately afterwards. Also they put tiny shards of lemongrass in the broth. I like lemongrass but it was very over powering and super annoying in my pho. Our server was nice but there was a slight language barrier and the wrong drink & appetizer was brought out. I would be willing to try this place again and order sushi or something completely different.

My boyfriend was hungry, and there was nothing I wanted to eat other than some pho. Yes...I have no clue why. Maybe because I saw one of my friends' post on Facebook that he and his wife had a bowl of Pho and it was awesome. I wanted something warm, good and soupy. We decided to just drive to Kaiserslautern and hope that one of the two Vietnamese places that we knew was open. Saigon was closed, according to him who called the place. We walked to this place, and yes it was open, thank god. He ordered sushi, egg rolls and chicken satay looking thing. I had no idea what he ordered cause I was so focused on pho. No I didn't see the sushi he ordered. He ate them like nothing, even before I had a chance to look at them. The egg rolls were alright, just typical egg rolls. My bowl of pho came with cilantros and bean sprouts in them already. No I absolutely hate bean sprouts. Eww, they look like ewww. So I picked every single one of them out to a plate. While I was working on making my bowl of pho edible for me, my boyfriend got his chicken satay with peanut sauce. He said he didn't like the fact that the chicken was deep fried which in his opinion didn't go well with peanut sauce. When I tried, it was alright. But who am I to know what the real Asian food is like?! I liked it. Finally I got to eat my bowl of pho. First off, a lot of beef. Yes, way more slices than I was used to back in Colorado Springs. Two, they were delicious....though cilantro stems weren't exactly my favorite, I do love cilantro in my pho. Three, not a big fan of flat glass noodles that they used. I don't remember the noodles being flat in CO, but I might be wrong. Overall, it was good. The service was not exactly the fastest, but the waitress was nice. Oh one thing, the female bathroom....well the gap between the door and the toilet when you open the door is actually skinnier than my leg. So you will have to stand with your legs apart before opening the door to get out of the bathroom. If you didn't have the same issue and you've been to this bathroom, well good for you. Maybe you should tell me what you did.
