Saw this Thai spot and thought I would check it out. I was greeted coming in and service was polite and helpful. I ordered the pineapple white tea which was amazing and the green curry with chicken. I asked how spicy it was which I was told about medium. I asked for additional spice to be added because I was craving something spicy. The green curry was made up of the green curry sauce, chicken, mixed vegetables and jasmine rice... oh and that extra spice I asked for, I got it!!! It started to make my nose run which is the level of spice I like in the green curry!! Despite not being particularly fond of Thai cuisine, I recently discovered 9Chan, a family-owned restaurant that has won me over. I have visited multiple times and consistently order their Pad Kapao. Even if you're not a fan of this particular food, it seems almost every dish can be personalized based on the type of meat that you like. Sometimes you get tired of German food, and the Mexican food around here isn't authentic. So at least you can try some authentic Thai food if you can handle the spiciness. read more

Was walking in the neighborhood and was surprised to see this place. Coincidentally, I was craving Asian food and looking at the menu this place definitely had what I wanted. Decided on the 9Chan noodle soup. This dish came with Sesame broth, pork belly, egg and egg noodle. Added a thai iced tea. In total this came to around $30. Kinda pricy but worth every penny. The service was fast and spoke English. In terms of atmosphere, it was adorned with Thai items. The restaurant itself could seat around 20 people with some seating on the outside. First time to enjoy this wonderful Thai Restaurant. Located in the middle of downtown Landstuhl, 9Chan offers indoor and outdoor seating and is easily accessible by foot, bus, or car. The staff was very warm and welcoming and most are fluent in English. The meal was very good. The appetizers we ordered were V1, V5, and V7 from the menu, Vegetable Spring Rolls, Fried Panko Breaded Tiger prawns, and Steamed Shrimp Dumplings. All very fresh and very delicious! The main course consisted of Massaman Curry (C4), Sweet & Sour Chicken (R3), and Pad Prik w Crispy Chicken (R7). All were on point with exactly how we remember them from our time in Thailand. My only issue with the crispy chicken was that it was a little heavily breaded and it got pretty soggy as the meal went on... the flavors of each entre were excellent... the heat factor was a little on the low side, but all in all, an excellent dining experience and we'll surely go back for more! read more

Recently got food here for the first time. My experience wasn't to great. I ordered the duck pad tai. It was extremely spicy! There was no indication of even slight spice on the menu. There were chili flakes dumped in it. As it was also pricy. I was unable to eat my dinner and wasted €17. Recommend. They have outdoor seating which is great since the weather is nice and it helps us to feel more comfortable eating out with COVID still being a thing. We've had the chance to try a few of their menu items and we have enjoyed what we've tried so far for the most part. My husband LOVES their build your own soup menu. He orders the Tom yum broth with the crispy duck every time we come now. I tried it once (take out) and wasn't a big fan. I like the pad see ew and the pad new mao. The pad kee mao is on the spicier side. We've also tried the chicken satay and the black rice and mango dessert. Both are great. I've eaten at 9 Chan over a dozen times in the past couple years. The family is so nice and always remembers us whenever we arrive. I've tried almost all their appetizers. I've had a couple different curries, the pad thai, pad see ew and a few other dishes. My favorite dishes are the green curry with chicken or crispy duck OR the pad see ew with crispy duck. The food is full of flavor and the duck is cooked perfectly! There were times where I ate here twice a week. If you like spicy food you can add chili pepper flakes. For the papaya salad you can make it spicier by asking for more chili peppers. I normally only get one or two because I can't handle spicy since I was pregnant with my son but I love the flavor the chili's provide. To drink I always get the Thai tea with milk. They have boba now which is always yummy to add in as well. If you're in the area and want Thai food or good food. EAT HERE! You will not be disappointed. read more

Best curry in the Ramstein/Kaiserslautern area! Their food is always delicious. I have not eaten there but always order takeout. Then I pull up and they bring out to my car. My fave is Tom yum it's a small bowl but so delicious that it keeps me full when you eat it with rice. The only major downfall here is the customer service they lack, very very very badly. The waitress and waiter are one track mind they move so fast but seems like they're still not getting anything done I don't think they can multitask or work under pressure well we wait like 30 min before being asked if we want something to drink even with our food.
