Been at Ramstein for about 2 weeks and have been given all the Chinese spots a visit to see what's what. The places on base, and the Asian wok are absolute trash in my opinion. Don't bother the Euro or dollars on their food Stopped in there for some takeout, we were seated and offered complimentary iced tea which is absolutely amazing, iced tea was amazing might I add. The place itself is very comfortable not unlike any Chinese joint I've been to before, no greasy smell or humidity that is prevalent in other spots. The food itself came out in about 20 minutes and had complimentary items in there as well, the quality of soup was probably better than some places stateside, I had the Tom Yum chicken. The pad thai was also a cut above the rest. I wholeheartedly endorse this little place and recommend anyone with a fix for Chinese stop here. You won't regret it read more

I found this place because it was close to where I live and I was in need of Chinese food. However, I wasn't really impressed. I've gone back to this place two times to give it a fair shot but it wasn't anything special. This place is very close to RAB with a few parking stalls in front. The first time we ate inside and it wasn't crowded, which was nice. We ordered lychee juice, which was amazing! For my meal, I got Hong Kong 8, which is small egg rolls, crispy duck, and fried rice with chicken and egg. It was okay. Duck was crispy and had a sauce but it wasn't anything special. The fried rice had a weird taste for my preference so I did not care for it. The egg rolls seemed like they were store bought. My husband had dim sum Chinese dumpling and he liked it. I thought it was good as well. For his meal he had the sesame chicken and he didn't like it. He said it was dry and didn't taste like sesame chicken. The second time we went we ordered take out and while we waited for our food, the waitress gave us ice tea and it was delicious! That was very kind of them! This time around I ordered the pad Thai and this dish was good. It had flavor and overall tasty. My husband ordered the dim sum barbecue pork pau. This was not good. It wasn't cooked all the way through and also seemed store bought. The flavor of the bbq pork didn't taste right. For his meal he ordered the lemon chicken and you could definitely taste the lemon! He said it was okay. It was crispy and the sauce was okay. For take out, they put all the sauces in bags and it made it a little hard to get it out of the bag. It was a little difficult to work with. The prices are fairly decent but the quality of the food depends on what you get. The workers seemed nice so that's a bonus! Overall, my experience has had mixed reviews but I would try this place again if I had to but perhaps something different. read more

We were desperate for some Asian food, but the place we usually go happened to be closed that day. HK97 is a cute little mom and pop operation; however, it is not in any way, shape, or form authentic. It caters to Americans and Germans. The soups are saccharine sweet. I would have rather gone to Panda Express had that been an option, despite being born and raised Vietnamese/Chinese, in all honesty. On the bright side, the owners were absolutely lovely and gave me some iced tea while I waited for my order. read more

Best Chinese Restaurant in town. We enjoy their Dim Sum, Thai and their signature Chinese dishes. Fresh ingredients and simple atmosphere. Fantastic customer service. I highly recommend their shrimp pad Thai or any of the duck dishes. Their "special" combination fried rice it also better than most places not greasy at all. read more

Such great food, this was the first Chinese place I've tried since being here and I'm not going anywhere else. They have great customer service and when they're a little busy and backed up, they will offer to give you a drink or extra egg rolls for free. We ordered delivery believe it or not in Kollweiler! There are only a few places that deliver to our town and this place is the best! The food was delicious, fresh, hot and they delivered fast! The prices are reasonable and we are very pleased. If you haven't tried the food from Hong Kong 97 yet, then you are missing out! So the wife and I were originally looking to go to a Greek place but it was closed. We Yelped the nearest food location because we were starting to get hangry. This place came up and boy were we pleasantly surprised. The place had an unexpectedly large menu and it ranged from Chinese Thai, and Japanese. My wife ordered the chop suey and she loved it. I ordered a dish with 8 different meats on it with rice. It was spicy and it was good. It came with Peking soup and egg rolls and a drink. We paid 20 euros and had two orders of egg rolls and several drinks. The place was extremely clean and the service was very good. I will definitely go back for more! read more

Definitely the best Chinese restaurant in the kmc area hands down. The service is great(which can be hard to find in Germany), the menu is jam packed with many different and delicious foods, and it's relatively cheap. I've eaten here about 7 or 8 times now with a buddy of mine and we've never been disappointed. I recommend this place for anyone who enjoys good and cheap Chinese food. read more
