I was served Escolar fish instead of real butterfish. (Symptoms listed below) It is not fun. My friend was served old, tough salmon sashimi. I also had salmon sashimi and it was a little fishy. (Also very small slabs of fish for the price) The kitchen is a mess and not sanitary. It is also very cramped inside the restaurant and small making it slightly uncomfortable. Wherever I go, I always want to try the local Thai restaurant. This was no exception. This place has a good amount of traffic and seems to be a favorite of the area. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, and the staff was very friendly. We ordered the Wonton soup, coconut soup, and spring rolls for an appetizer. The flavors were really good, and the service was reasonably fast. For an entree, I ordered the pad Thai, and my friend got the mango sticky rice. The serving sizes were good, and we didn't leave hungry. The Pad Thai was pleasant, and I had the available spices to add to my liking. The menu has a lot of options, so there is something for everyone. I wish i had more time to try more of the menu. The restaurant has a good amount of seating space inside and outside. Came here thinking it was a sushi bar. However, it was not but was pleased with the food. The sampler was large and very tasty. I ordered the crispy duck with the spicy noodles, oh my it was truly spicy and tasted amazing. The suck was perfectly seasoned and fried crisp, not greasy. Being from California and of Southeast Asian decent Alom Dee is pretty darn close to authentic Thai food I'm used too eating and cooking myself. I would give them a 4.4 star only because they are a bit pricey but worth it to get in Germany. I did take out and it only took 30 minutes so I don't know how their sit-in serves is. I ordered 4 different dishes that did not disappoint me or my taste buds and level of spice (I eat spicy so maybe ask them to not put any if you can't handle heat) Item #109 - Fried Crispy Tilapia with Spicy Mango Salad and Garlic Fish sauce (not pictured) and a side of white rice = It was very good! 4.5/5 just how I would make it at home so authentic but very pricey. Cost about 18€ but worth it since you can't get it anywhere else. Item #93 (I think) - Panang Curry Beef with a side of white rice = This was delicious but was a small portion and not to much veggies or protien. I've had better but this hit the spot for me in Germany. 3.8/5 it was not spicy for me and I wish the portion was larger for the price. Cost about 13.50€. Item #141 - Yum Woo Sen Chicken = This was a decent glass noodle chicken salad. 3.2/5 It was not as flavorful as Im used to ordered back in the California or making myself but its good for what it is. I just add to add a little more fish sauce and lime juice to cater to my taste buds but everything else was there. It cost about 12.50€. Item #1 - Minced Prawns and Pork Springrolls = This was an okay appetizer to get but not really worth it because it only came with 3 small pieces. 2.8/5 its not enough to share with anyone or for myself to eat. It really wasn't worth ordering unless you really want to try it. It cost around 4.50€. Overall I would order again from here. My entire order came out to be 50.90€ which wasn't bad because I typically order that much food for 2 people. If you have more people to feed this might not be enough so order more! read more

This place is as close as you are going to get to actually being in Thailand, and when I tell you I was actually in Thailand less than 2 weeks before coming here, it was that amazing and that authentic. The staff is extremely friendly and they do speak English fluently, which is to be expected near a base, but they also had great recommendations of things to try and sample. They do have a VERY extensive menu so there really shouldn't be an issue for an item to find for even the pickiest of eaters. It is all made fresh and you can actually see them make it, dependent on where you are sitting in the store of course, all you can see is the example of freshness. I highly recommend giving this place a try, and it does get quite busy so do keep that in mind. However, it is absolutely worse the wait! Give it a go! read more

This little hidden gem is now my favorite Thai restaurant in the area. I was promptly greeted and seated in the clean dining area and pleased with how welcoming the English speaking servers were. All of my Thai favorites were on the menu and more items that I am anxious to try. The food was served hot and tasted so fresh and delicious. Prices are very reasonable. You will not be disappointed with the availability of parking and quick carry out services. This place does it all with excellence. read more

Very good Thai food. Really, 3.5 stars. Some items are quite hot; too much so for my likes but that's a personal dislike. The food is tasty although many dishes have fish sauce as an integral flavoring, which I dislike (again, a personal thing). The meals are a bit smaller than other Thai places but still more than adequate for lunch. Alom Dee could expand as the interior has very limited seating/tables so some potential customers simply leave due to the wait time. I do like the food taste/quality here but it's not my favorite Thai place near Ramstein. read more

Very surprised with the food quality. Chicken Phad Thai tasted nothing short of Amazing. Sprinkle some drops of lime juice and go to town! Same great taste we experienced during our trip to Thailand. Veggie fried spring rolls were also delicious. I might sound a little extra but I am really happy to have found this restaurant. Service was a little on the longer side but worth the wait. Ordered veggie spring rolls, coconut soup and veggies and noodle plate. All was very good and the waiter was very sweet. I ordered a beer and my spouse had a merlot.. or two...which she claimed was delicious. All for under 35€. We'll be back for sure. read more

This is one of my go-to Landstuhl eateries. The restaurant is super small and somewhat out of the way, but not at all hard to get to and totally worth the time. It's also totally walkable from anywhere in the Landstuhl area. The food here is on point. I am super addicted to their curries, particularly the Massaman and the Panang. Last time I got the Panang, it was a little too hot for me, with about a cup of those super spicy peppers in my serving, but was still amazing. The Massaman is a little more mild and really delish. Their Pad Thai is on point, with plenty of noodles and veggies, as well as whatever protein you care to add. I recommend avoiding the tofu chunks. Personally, I find them to be water-logged and not worth the valuable room in your stomach...fill up on the noodles. The coconut soup is awesome, especially with the (ultra intimidating) fruits of the sea. I don't like the terminology, but I love the outcome: mussels, squid, shrimp, all in a tasty, spicy broth. I don't recommend the sushi, all the pieces I've had there have been rather lackluster, dare I say, bad. Overall, worth the walk, worth the money and worth the calories. read more

You cannot go wrong with Thai food. This restaurant cooks authentic Thai cuisine. My favourite is the Pad Thai Gai (chicken pad Thai). The restaurant itself, is very small, and almost always crowded. They have a nice outdoor patio seating area. The service is always friendly. My only complaints would be that you have to write down your order yourself (had an experience where someone else in my group ate my meal, because it was brought out to the table). Also the food often does not come out together. Lastly, the menu is a little confusing, more pictures would help people order. read more

My husband and I came here for dinner a few times and we really like this place. The food is consistent because there is one main chef and you can view her cooking through the big window. The menu selection is HUGE! They offer so many dishes and sushi options you can't go wrong. For the appetizer we like the spring rolls, chicken satay, and barbecued steak. I also like their coconut soup, papaya salad, and beef salad. My husband always gets the red curry with duck or the pork belly with an order of fried rice. As a group, we tried two curries and pad Thai. The Curries, a red and green were basically curry flavored water. Wouldn't even stick to the rice. Small amounts of veggies, and even smaller amounts of chicken. The pad Thai was ok, but was a small portion for the price. Maybe we hit it on a bad night or all the Thai food I've had in the past was wrong, and I just don't know what I'm talking about. read more

I love this place ! I was introduced to this place by a good friend of mine. They have a wide variety of food choices on the menu. My favorite has been the green papaya salad! Lots of good Thai spice and fresh flavor. As well as the pad Thai with prawns. I always end up taking extra home. The fried tilapia was perfectly cooked with a side of rice. Hubby was so excited to eat it that he got down and dirty the second the plate hit the table. The fried chicken wings were a good appetizer, with lots of crunch! I had started with the Thai curry chicken soup, which was AMAZING!! Lots of flavor, spice and seemed like it was made fresh to order. Thai tea was pretty good as well, but felt a little more sweeter than normal. Service as always was great & food came out in a timely manner. Ok so I have gone to this place about 3 times now and over all it amazes. The only downfall is that here in Germany A/C isn't a common thing. So needless to say we were sweating our you know what's off! You also don't get free drink refills :/ (another common European thing) so that was a total bummer for 3 pregnant over thirsty ladies. But on to the good stuff! I finally tried the Green Chicken Curry! And OH.MY.GAWD was it amazing! It was spicy deliciousness with just the right amount of sweetness. I'm usually a red curry or pad Thai kind of girl but I definitely think I have a new favorite. Now the service this last time wasn't that great. But I'll chalk it up to being a VERY busy day. So the food gets 5 stars. They add scallops and mussels to their seafood pad thai and it is crazy delicious. The menu is pretty long and is in german and english (yay!!). The service is so-so. We ordered and waited around for half an hour before the server came back and asked if we ordered (uh-oh that's not a good sign). So it took over an hour for our food to come out but it was yummy so it made up for having to wait so long. Oh and the place is tiny!!! Like super tiny. We tried out this place this week for the first time and I was very happy with the experience. Ambience: The interior is modern, with new furniture and dishwear. I was very impressed with how they made the area function with such little space. Menu: English and German! You write down the number of the item you want on a piece of paper, so no issues with translation. There were almost too many options. We tried a little bit of everything. I also ordered a beer, which was cold and refreshing. Sushi: The salmon was fatty and perfect. The Ebi was good, as was the tuna. We also received some less-than-fresh sashimi but overall I was happy with the quality and the price. It rivaled Ayame in my mind, but was less expensive. Thai: We ordered Thai Hot, but the spice was still lacking. The curry was delicious, though and my husband enjoyed his coconut soup. Price: You are paying Landstuhl prices here, which is a little higher as they cater to Americans. On average, this meal was about 40% more than what we spend downtown. Great Thai food. Better than most I've had stateside. Their panang curry has great rich flavors, with a solid coconut cream base. Good hints of basil as well. Spice level could be a bit heavier, but it was solid nonetheless. read more
