The food was good and the rolls are big, so if you're not a big eater one -two rolls should do. My husband and I ordered three rolls (fish was fresh) and an appetizer. The appetizer was so good and crispy ( Smoky Sate). I honestly want to say that was my favorite. For rolls we got the Crispy Salmon, The Rainbow and Chiefs Choice. Def try one of their teas they. The restaurant itself is nice but worth the hype... let just say, it was good. If you're driving here at night be ready because it's supa dark. Just remember to drive to the end of the road and it will be on you left, kinda hidden. It's noisy so don't come here thinking it will be a quiet dinner. The staff is nice and very attentive. BTW... I don't post negatively unless the service was trash or the food was trash. So either they were horrible and don't want you to experience the same thing. If it's a positive post, it will either be good or great. Either way, I always give 5 because it's not my place to bring negativity to anyone or their livelihood.

    Crunch shrimp roll. Yum!!

Stopped by for a late lunch. Not crowded (whew!!). Convenient location, but not along the walkplatz. Higher priced than other similar restaurants, but good quality and good service. Tried the chicken curry and crunchy salmon roll. Both dishes were excellent, I was surprised at how tender the sliced chicken breast was and loved the fresh veggies and rich coconut curry sauce. The salmon was excellent and I could tell the fish was fresh. Will definitely return during my next trip.

I came here a few times during my time in Kaiserslautern and it was consistently pretty good. Tucked back in a corner behind other restaurants, you'll find Mr Lian has a pretty decent sized parking lot. They have a GREAT outdoor patio for summer weather but, of course, there are some bugs so, prepare yourself. My first trip to this restaurant had me ordering the pho and it was sadly the worst pho I've ever had in my life. It was bland with just a spattering meat. It was definitely not something I ever ordered again. Their sushi, however, is excellent!! I ate it many times and always enjoyed everything. I even got it a couple of times as takeout and it was fabulous. I highly recommend the chefs choice! It even came with a baby fog machine. The service is slow and steady - nothing to write home about. Overall, Mr Lian was a definite go-to for me during my time in K Town. You should definitely check it out!

This is a nice, quiet and charming restaurant. The ambiance is great for a date, meet with friends or dine in solo. The price point is good. The sushi is amazing and very refreshing lemonade. Very quick service even on a Friday night. Don't take my word for it, try it for yourself.

    Moscow Mule (drank a bit)

Seating quick. Service, quicker! Table was sticky and not so clean. Efficient service, no smiles from the waiters but if you have some effective jokes, who knows.. Tried the Moscow Mule. Yes! Tried the Sake Tsunami! They forgot to give chop sticks but, Yes! Tried a Long Island.. Meh/Yes! (Strong with alc flavor as it should be) Tried the Crispy Tiger. Meh.. ordering cooked sushi is a bad choice, in my opinion. For me, it tastes like lunch meat and mayo. This is not the restaurants fault. Mine alone. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here. A lot of portions of the restaurant is closed such as upstairs probably due to the cold weather so it is a bit noisy. If there is music, idk. This Long Island is difficult to tackle. Ending this before I type a language I've never learned. Enjoy. Cheers!

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday dinner. Excellent services and the atmosphere cleaned. I recommend a mango shake.

This place has some great sushi We got the sampler appetizer that had a good selection of items. Then we got 4 different rolls. All of them where very good sized and had great flavors too. This place has some great atmosphere and friendly service too.

Went to this place 6 months ago and didn't like the pho. The Family wanted Asian food so we went here and this time I got the beef coconut curry and the blazing love. I wanted to like this place but it disappointed the heck out of me. Don't waste your money on this place unless your into old stinky dried up salmon, chewy beef cubes from the curry, and bland pho. I'm writing this as a remembrance of how much this place fails to satisfy my stomach. It's funny how I'm reading reviews of how fresh the seafood is. Try smelling the fish before you eat it. I'm just a dude who's lived in Japan for several yrs and lived in the pacific during my childhood, this ain't quality sushi.

Ginger, cranberry, and lemongrass tea. Ginger is by far the favorite!

Mr. Lian's the best Asian in Ktown!! They have this location and a downtown location. If you would like a drink other than water order the Ginger Tea, no matter how many we order this is always the favorite at the table. For an appetizer the Cocolove coconut soup is incredible. I order it with chicken instead of tofu. You can add a little spice with some siracha if you need, but it's a burst of flavor without! The spring rolls are a crunchy favorite for an app as well, comes with 4 and some sweet orange sauce. For entries the curry chicken, surf & turf, and crispy duck breast are all amazing. Each dish is enough to share with 2 people. You can order with any waitress/waiter that is working as they all have a smart screen they carry to enter orders immediately.

    Tiger roll Tasty

The host was rude and acted annoyed for doing her job. The waiter was really nice and helpful Lots of flies flying around Will never come back here because I didn't like the food Other night like the sushi the PHO is flavorless

    A+ for presentation.

OMG! So glad we found this place. I didn't expect to find a good sushi place in this area. Like most sushi lovers, I've had the opportunity to eat sushi all over the world and yes I have my favorite places to go. But there was nothing to fault with the meal that we had at Mr. Lians. The atmosphere is nice but a little tight at some tables. We had the Crispy Tiger and the Tuna Sashima (S55) and it was fantastic. It was a bit crowded and we had to wait about 45 minutes for our food but it was well worth it. The presentation was fantastic. Our plate was a work of art. Highly recommended for a date night. It's impressive. With appetizer and a few drinks our total was close to 60 Euro so its a bit pricy but quality driven. Enjoy!

    Sushi- amazing

Anniversary lunch with my husband! The sushi was so good! I stuffed myself! The staff were very nice and had no trouble with my lack German. Outside patio area is a great atmosphere to sit and have dinner and drinks.

My wife and I used to come here on date nights to enjoy an okonomoyaki menu (soup, salad and okonomoyaki), Udon, and some killer sushi. Tonight we thought it was time to pay another visit, so we made a reservation because they're usually packed on Fridays. Well, tonight we walk in to two other groups sitting. We should have walked out then and there. After a good five minutes reviewing the menu, searching for our favorites, we finally asked. "Where's the Okonomoyaki?" Turns out, the restaurant's under new management, but keeping the same name. The new menu basically has a handfull of appetizers, and as it turns out, lower quality versions of the old sushi menu. Dissapointing to say the least. For some reason, we still give the place a shot. It could be good, right? Wrong! I get tuna and spicy tuna. The tuna's okay...pretty standard, while the spicy tuna's a tuna avocado roll, served with a dipping bowl of spicy sauce. Even worse, this tuna looks like it's been out for a while. A €50 lesson learned here, hopefully not just for me. Don't bother, hit up another Sushi joint instead.

As typical, quite a lot of items were forgotten (meaning never delivered to our table) so we re-ordered those. Some items showed up much later... Salmon and tuna nigiri were plain this time... We've learned our lesson - don't visit Kahori with a large group. Too many items end up missing in action, everything's placed on the same plates for sharing, and sometimes the waiting after ordering is quite long. On the plus side, the unagi was wonderful as usual. I'm happy to say I knocked down 17 pieces of unagi nigiri.

READ THIS BEFORE YOU GO!…read more Beware. Eat at your own risk, but I would recommend going somewhere (anywhere) else. When you walk in, the room is clean and looks nicely decorated. The hostess brings an iPad over and explains how to order. 'Order as much as you want, but no leftovers.' Ok. So I can't take any food home, right? Wrong. They will charge you for any food you do not eat! On top of what they charge you for the food in the first place! I'm all for not wasting food, but this feels like a scam for several reasons. Reasons this feels like a scam: 1. The sushi is 90% rice. Nigiri, huge rice ball topped with mushy fish. Rolls, way too much rice wrapped around mushy fish with brown avocado, mayonnaise and dried out out imitation crab meat. Topped with discolored tuna. Tasted as bad as it looked. 2. Gyoza. This was a fundamental nightmare. Undercooked, swimming in oil, falling apart and completely lacking in texture. 3. Tempura. Neither the shrimp nor the vegetables were coated in an actual tempura batter. The shrimp were coated in panko breadcrumbs and the veggies were battered in something thick and heavy. Tempura should be light & crispy. Not swimming in oil, heavy and dark dark brown. ~Remember....no leftovers!~ 4. Shrimp. Poopy poopy shrimp. See my picture for proof. And mushy. No texture whatsoever. Disgusting. 5. Egg rolls and spring rolls. Burnt on the outside, more weird tasting filling and undercooked dough on the inside. 6. Beef noodle soup. Ramen noodles like from the package overcooked to the point of disintegration, making the broth cloudy and starchy. I couldn't pick the noodles up with chopsticks because they kept getting smushed. Beef was chewy and slimy. Another nightmare of cooking techniques. Whoever runs the kitchen is doing not just a bad job, but the worst job. There were so many fundamental screw ups with this meal that I'm shocked this place is still open. When we decided to pay, the hostess came back, looked at the table and said 'oh, we charge for the leftovers.' What?!? No. I told her why we didn't eat the nasty food and she told us we should have told them before we got ready to pay. She said: 'I TOLD you no leftovers!' I told her it was clearly not our fault the food was bad and we COULDN'T eat it. Pointed out all the problems and she told us to just go, it was okay. 'But next time, tell us sooner.' Lady, there will certainly NOT be a next time. I'm sorry there was a first time. Stay away! Your wallet and stomach will thank you.
