THIS IS A CASH ONLY BUSINESS. So come prepared! This was our first time there. We were checked for vaccine cards and seated quickly. Appetizers: crispy chicken wings, Kim chi, duck spring rolls. All were tasty. There were 3 of us so we had to split the spring rolls because there were only two. Entrees: bulgogi, crispy duck, crispy chicken with sweet sour sauce on the side. Orders came with jasmine rice. For rice enthusiasts, we know that not all rice is created equal. This gal said it was jasmine rice, but I don't this it was. The duck and chicken entrees reminded me more if Chinese cuisine than Korean. But it was tasty nonetheless. The ginseng tea was pleasant and a little sweet. The deep fried banana with honey and ice cream . I'm used to eating fried banana in a lumpia or spring roll wrapper. This one was dipped ( my guess) in a rice flour batter. It was good. I've been here about 3 times and ordered items that I've eaten before at other Korean restaurants. I did takeout once and dined in twice. This place is right in Ramstein so very close to Ramstein AFB. Not a lot of parking, some street parking. All 3 times I've gone, they've had signs saying their card reader is broken so it's been cash only. Kalbi: I've ordered this twice and this is my favorite dish! Consistent on both times of ordering it and so so delicious and tender. Highly recommend! Crispy Duck with spicy fried rice: ordered twice and the duck is delicious each time but the spicy fried rice was spicier the first time I ordered it. The second time I ordered it, there was no spice. Chop chae (glass noodles): I absolutely love chop chae but this one didn't satisfy my taste buds. Haven't ordered it again. Beef Bulgogi: very yummy and meat is very tender. Bi Bim Bab: Wasn't my favorite but it's very filling and is a big portion. Crispy Baked salmon: good but nothing too special. Fried noodles with shrimp and veggies: very good and large portion! They do have a lot of spicy items but they are very accommodating if you would like to not have it spicy. Seoul is one of my favorite places to eat for brunch, lunch, and dinner!!! They have the BEST Katsu Duck that I have ever had, seriously. #S16 is my go to favorite every time I come, which on the menu is called: Crispy Duck with Fried Rice; it's labeled as spicy but to me really isn't all that bad- the spice in my opinion is very mild but very well compliments the dish. The spice is really only on the fried rice, the crispy duck I believe is probably the spice balancer. This selection is also my husband's favorite! We go here as often as we can, the Korean women who own and provide service are incredibly sweet (as long as you too are a nice and considerate person). Another great dish is the Bibimbap, it's served in a steaming hot dish that heats it up perfectly. This dish is spicy, if you don't like spicy food, it's best to take it out or ask for no hot sauce. The yakimandoo and spring rolls are a MUST! We order this every time. During the day, it's best to bring cash/euro- card is acceptable during dinner time. Placing a phone order in advance is a good way to order food to go so that you can dine at your place of business if you chose too. Dining in is wonderful as well, it's a small, quaint and charming establishment with seating for couples and small groups in booths and long tables as well for big groups. Not sure what happened but this time during my visit the yaki mandu was oddly breaded and then fried. Like in a batter. Weird. I guess it was good because it was a fried food but it wasn't what you'd expect. I also got bibimbap and when the server placed my bowl down I grabbed it carefully to pull it towards me because they are usually/traditionally served HOT. But my hands went into shock when the bowl felt like ice, as if it had been in the fridge. It is winter so it could've just been out on the counter or something. The food inside the bowl was cold. It was all cold. I can't even type articulately because I'm so thrown off. It was a cold bowl of bibimbap. I don't understand. One of the sliced vegetables inside was iceberg lettuce ... huh? Stopped down here on a whim, have to admit I'm glad we did. Some of the most authentic food of this variety of had in awhile. This isn't a place for first timers, and by that I mean there are no pictures on the menu. Hopefully you have some sort of Internet connectivity to try and match up what's on the menu to the food. Luckily I had no such problems. Order some of the dishes or ask the hostess what's good. She's a bit abrupt but she's typical Korean old school hostess. Highly disappointed. Small potions for the price and they don't serve side dishes unless you order Bulgogi. I've never been to a Korean resturant where sides dishes were not served. The Yaki Mando look like it was battered and deep fried. I'm not sure what it was but that wasn't Mando. The filling was good. Overall, I wasn't impressed with the food. My wife lived in Seoul for a year and didn't feel that the menu choices were as authentic compared to what she had while in South Korea. Seoul is an amazingly authentic Korean dining experience, considering the fact it's in the middle of Germany. Thankfully, the large U.S. military presence in the Ramstein area not only makes Seoul possible, it helps make it a great dining experience. My personal favorite is the bibimbap bowl, with fresh veggies and extra sauce. If there is one downside, it's the increasingly common cash-only payment method occurring all over the Kaiserslautern area. Otherwise, the staff is attentive and works fast. This is one of two Korean restaurants in the local Ramstein area. The restaurant itself is small, and the aesthetics are not anything to write home about. It's clean...enough. The owner is Korean, yet the waitstaff and cooks in the back are not. Nevertheless, the food is authentic: spicy and full of aroma. The prices are on the higher end, expect to spend about 20 Euros per person. Their service is a little slow, so don't anticipate getting in and out of this establishment. Pretty disappointing. Growing up in Korea not much about this place is really Korea except the Banchun, which was good. The bibimbop bowl was not hot enough to get the rice crunchy and the bulgogi seemed a little over cooked (or something). I don't think I'll go back at least not for a while. read more

We ate here last week. We really enjoyed the Kimsche Soup, the Bulgogi, and the Bi Bim Bap. All were excellent tasting and conveniently priced. So we tried it again just to confirm earlier this week. Kimsche Soup is still delicious! Yaki Mandu is very light and tasty. This time I had Crispy Chicken Fried Rice Spicy and my wife had the Beef with Tofu Spicy. Both only confirmed our first notion that Seoul Restaurant will be in the regular rotation of eating out establishments over the next 3 years. I have had Korean food before. However, none has compared to this restaurant. Whether it is the bulgogi, the yahki mandu, the yuk gezang, or the bi bim bap, they have never gone wrong. Also, they are very consistent that what you order you get every time. The place is conveniently located and really can't be missed while driving in Ramstein. The only problem is the price. Bulgogi is upwards of 11 Euro so expect to spend some money. For my family, the typical price is around 40 Euro. I still rate this five stars because I think the food is worth it. read more

Great food and service!! I was stationed in Korea for a year and the one thing I missed was the food. This place made me feel like I never left. The food was spot on and relatively cheap. It's a small quiet atmosphere and great for anyone to come in alone or with their family. The only thing is I recommend looking up their menu options on their website so you can look up what you'd want to eat. Not only did they bring the wrong food order for my daughter and didn't even try to say sorry, bring the right order, they went ahead and just charged us for what we didn't get (which was more expensive). On top of that they came to our table and said they overcharged us on our card....and didn't offer any resolution for giving us back what they over charged. Just a simple we over charged, sorry. New obsession at Seoul. An oldie but a goodie, the bulgogi. The twist...get it spicy! The pork is also tasty goodness, but the beef gets a caramelization that can't be beat! Side note: if you're ordering food to go, you need to specify what side dishes you want and remember that they charge extra for each one, so pick wisely. If you eat in, you won't be charged. Here at ramstein for 3 months and thank god I found this spot right outside base. It's nice change from the ordinary food you find on base and around ramstein. One downfall is that they only accept euros/dollars but most restaurants in Germany only accept euros anyways. I ordered the beef pancake and fried dumplings for appetizers. Both were really delicious. Then had the bulgogi and glass noodles for entree. And again both were very satisfying. The free side dishes included spicy cucumber, kimchi, and white radish. Restaurant is kind of hidden but nice atmosphere once you get inside. Would definitely recommend this place! read more

Food is really fresh. I've tried multiple dishes and am pleased with all. It gets super crowded at lunch time and you may be told to make room at the long table for others to sit. No one complains as it gives the place an even more unique quality and builds on eating meals with strangers. This is definitely a must visit. read more

We ate here as a family of four. Our first time. Everything we ordered was tasty. We had our Yakki Mandu, the spring rolls and the chicken soup as appetizers. Would order all of them again. My wife and I had the bibimbap, hoping it would live up to the quality of what we found in Northern VA. The dish was good, but it did not have the "sizzle" of the bibimbap dishes we have had before. In addition, the amount of beef in the bowl was extremely small; about one tablespoon of beef - no joke. After mixing up the bowl, almost every other bite did not have any beef in it. I think the bowl is enough for one person, but there simply is not enough beef...not even close. My daughter had the Korean ribs - delicious. You got it - very small amount for 17 Euros! Delicious though. My son had a fried pork dish - good, but not worth the price. He even mentioned it would be a good appetizer...not a main dish. The two older ladies serving the food were nice. They were extremely busy, and never made it to our table for refills for our drinks. Yes, I know there are not free refills. We wanted to pay for more drinks. All of us were out of drinks midway through the meal. We waited about 15 minutes after eating for the ladies to make it our way to pay. Luckily, we had bottles of water in the car. Good place to eat, but be prepared for smaller meat portions (I am not upset- I am not a person who values quantity over quality). Prices are not bad, even with the smaller size portions of food. My favorite is the spicy pork bulgogi - they make it just right and it's not very oily, which is I've experienced in some other restaurants. My wife and I enjoy every meal here. The only detraction is the speed when large tables arrive - getting food to the tables almost comes to a crawl. That's not completely unexpected, considering the small staff, but it's made up for by the quality of the food. Definitely one of our go-to-spots. The staff is always friendly but they get a little "quick" when it's crowded. The flavors of everything is authentic and reminds me of the 2 years I spent in Korea. I can once again say that my Yelpers have not steered my tummy wrong! A group of friends and I made reservations for Sunday morning. Unfortunately, Saturday I had gone to town (literally) and drank all of the alcohols. All of them. So I wasn't necessarily in the mood for anything new when we got here. When I got in I immediately ordered a cappucino, which is odd to order at a Korean place, but hangover preceded everything else. Post cappucino I was finally ready to order. Thanks to all of you awesome Yelpers, I decided to try Bi Bim Bop. Now, my experience with Korean food is quite limited to only Korean BBQ. If you guys know of any place like that in the area, please let me know! I miss me some good Korean BBQ. Something about cooking my own food, but not actually cooking it in my kitchen, is really satisfying. Anyways, for an appetizer I tried the spring rolls and the pork filled dumplings. The dumplings left something to be desired but the spring rolls were spectacular. Then came the bi bim bop. Again, I had NO IDEA what to expect since I have never had it before. Rice?! With veggies?! and BEEF?!?!?! TOPPED WITH A FRIED EGG?!?!?! AND SAUCE?!?! ITS EVERYTHING I COULD EVER DREAM OF! Hangover, instantly gone. The spicy factor made me sweat all of the Jameson and Patron right out (don't mix those two. Seriously guys, dont. If you take anything from this review let it be that. And then please dont top it off with an Irish Car Bomb...) Try as hard as a I might, I was unable to finish my entire bowl. I had just enough left over to take it home.
