It's not what it used to be. Came here on a Wednesday afternoon. Walked in through the front (street side) entrance and said for two please and the waitress had us walk to the back (parking lot side) entrance just be walked all the way and seated by the front entrance. I guess they wanted us to do some cardio before we grubbed. They changed up their menu a bit since the last time i was there. We ordered the jalapeno cheeseballs (new) and also an order of 6 pc hot wings. The hot wings come with your choice of two sides. We went for the onion rings and fried pickles (trying to keep it healthy you know). Both were way too salty. We also ordered "The Gotti" pizza that comes with pepperoni, mushrooms, Italian sausage and black olives, and we also asked for pineapple too. The pizza was ok. Ever since I've been going to Big Al's pizza all the others don't even come close to being as good. Never had a bad experience here. Service is always on point, food is great and the prices are fair. My only complaint is the wait in line. Since I live across the street I usually pick up my orders so it's not really a big deal but I usually always try to avoid eating in here due to the long wait line. None-the-less the place does everything I want it to do and delivers everything a great restaurant chain should deliver to its customers; a consistent experience with the best damn hot wings money can buy. The food is not great and the service is HORRIBLE. I didn't like the Cobb salad at all! The chicken was dry and the bacon bits were fat bits, not bacon at all. I tossed it around thinking it would taste better than it looked but I was wrong! I asked them to take the salad off the bill since I didn't eat it but the manager said she could only take off $9 because I ate the croutons and avocado! Umm really?! So I asked to speak directly to the manager but the waiter came back and said the manager just took off the entire salad from the bill. I said that's not just the point though, mind you we waited almost an hour for our food so I was already upset. The manager did not want to come to our table and deal! The restaurant wasn't busy! I love Alondras! I am a usual at the Paramount location and decided to try the Montebello one since we were near and found a Groupon. I was really disappointed. The sit down wait was about 40mins we didn't mind, we thought the wait was well worth it. We were seated and told by the host our server would be with us shortly. Staff kept passing our table for 20 minutes and not once did any of them stop to ask us if we had been helped much less if we were ready. Our host ended up taking our order and he was the only one going back to our table to see if we needed anything through out our whole meal. We ordered their ranch fries and they were brought to us cold. The pizza and wings were great as usual. After eating the only time a server appeared was to bring us our bill. I had a groupon but my app decided not to work when we had to pay, I pulled up the email with the Groupon number and even though the email says I can show that, the "manager" told me I can't. I explained to her that when I have gone out with Groupons the servers just write down the number and process it. She tells me they need to scan it. (So what do you do when your scanner or barcode isn't working? You punch in the numbers, I do that at work too!) I had never had this problem with any other Groupon i've used. I finally got the app to work and I show the same server that came by only for our bill, she takes my phone because she's going to "scan" it. Every other restaurant I have used Groupons with has never taken my phone. The server came back and tells me my phone locked, so I unlocked it and she ends up doing the exact same thing I told them at the beginning and wrote down the same number I had shown them before. What the hell was all that about then?!? Alondra's is great but the staff at this place lacks training. They had plenty of staff but lacked organization too. I am dissapponted and next time I know to stick to my Paramount location. Liking this place should not feel like work. Upon entering you first notice the narrow and long seating that is not inviting. You can't help but feel seated on top of fellow patrons. The decor is confusing and forgettable. The kitchen feels like it cuts into valuable seating space. The outdoor is a better experience but cold and uncomfortable. The food is good, nothing more, nothing less. The pizza can be ordered with fun variety that you don't normally see. The burgers and sandwiches are also good but forgettable. The food is overpriced for the quality you get. To their advertised items, the wings. If you name your restaurant after a food you better be prepared to deliver on it. Alondra, unfortunately, does not. The wings are good, tasty even, but you are left disappointed and comparing them to other favorite wings. Their best foods are the ones no restaurant can mess up, their sides. The drinks are your usual soda, beer, and wine variety. The beers have a happy hour that is decent priced and lasts for a good amount of time. The service is really where they are lacking at this location. You are left without service frequently during your visit by all of their staff. I have been on several occasions, both while busy and slow, where I must go to the register to order or ask for my bill. Their empty apology about your wait while seated sounds too rehearsed. Overall this would be a 3 star restaurant based on their food but their service is inexcusable making this location very close to being 1 star. read more

Words can't describe the party going on in my mouth when I'm shoveling these things in! I've tried most of the wing flavors and I must say the chile lime is, in my opinion, the best. I've tried most of the pizzas as well and I can also say Sleeping With the Fishes is absolutely amazing. The buffalo pizza is "okay" as the buffalo pizza from BJ's Brewery is much more flavorful. And at the end of the meal, you can't go wrong with a deep fried Twinkie or the New York Cheesecake! All in all it's normally a pleasant meal. Ive been going here for 5 years now and before eating here, i did not like wings at all. But that has all changed now! The food is great at alondras. Although well known for there wings, you should also try some of the sandwhiches, burgers, pizza, or even the appitizers! (the mobbed sampler). All the food is good and filling. When you do go with the wings try the teriyaki sauce. You can dip anything in that! The service is good, just dont be afraid to call for help since the place is weirdly shaped so sometimes they wont be able to pace back and forth all the time. I usually travel to the Alhambra location to satisfy my wing cravings but Montebello was on my way home from LA. My boyfriend and I absolutely LOVE the Chile lime and Cajun wings omg. Don't get me wrong, I love this place. I have been coming here for years. The food is always great. The problem that I have is with the new menu. There are less items, smaller portions, and to top it off they charge more for less... this is sad to say the least. We got their biggest pizza on the menu (14") which used to be the medium size, 20 wings and an order of fries. That order was $62 on take out. I was pissed when the pizza was topped with buffalo wings after I specifically ordered it to be tossed in teriyaki. They also forgot to put cheesy bread on the order. We will not be going back. If I can give this a negative star I would.... we were just in , literally just walked out because of the lack of service. Note that they had 5 people on the floor and a manger. I never bitch about a place but this experience pissed me off. Waited 5 min for a table that was fine, hostes was warm and welcoming. I live so close to Alondra's and yet I've never even heard of the place until last night. Well I'm glad my little sister has, because I'm a little bit in love. I've become a fan of the hot wings and the doughballs. The pizza was okay not disappointing, but I think I prefer my pizzas with a little more cheese. I also ordered chili in a bread bowl and it was awesome. I'm not a big expert on chili or anything, but this one did happy cartwheels in my mouth. There were no beans, or just not enough of it to bother me (I hate beans). The bread bowl that carried chili had the taste and texture of bread sticks which I love. Is a good description? Oh well whatevers. I am definitely coming back to this place again and again and again. While I was waiting to be seated I was mildly entertained by the posters and mini biographies of some early mafia icons like John Gotti and Al Capone. Place is Overrated. Quick note: The Groupon was worth the amount. Waiting Experience: Monday 03/27/17. I arrived at 7p.m., with my 4 older children. The host came to greet us about 5mins later. He asked if we could fit in the booths. Said no because 4 of us are adults plus my 11 year old and their booths are slighty smaller I think due to the size of the place. He said if we sat outside in the patio the wait time would be 30 mins, most likely less. And if we wanted to sit inside it would be over an hour. We agreed to sit outside. Well we waited over an hour even though he wrote patio by our name, but I was happy they gave us a table inside(with plenty of room). Also, The older gentelman(host) did have a bit of a Salty attitude when we first walked into the place, not a great first impression. Food: Gotti Pizza was blahhh. Kids mentioned a pizza place by home (20miles closer) that was better). We all liked the wings, onion wings& Mac &cheese(kids said it tasted like "Mom's"). FEELINGS ABOUT OUR SERVER CHANGED.....when I got the check....not because of the amount on the check because I knew what we had ordered, but because at the bottom of the check where it thanks guest for coming it VERY CLEARLY says the specials they have for Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. And if you saw my check you would have been annoyed too! On Mondays(which is the perfect day to go w/a Groupon) they have a deal for $29.99 for 25pieces of wings(up to 2 sauces) & a 12" pizza. Great deal right??? Well I ended paying $28 ×2 for pizza, $24 for wings and sides PLUS 50 cents for the 2nd sauce(the deal includes the second sauce!) plus the drinks and cheese balls. Total check before Groupon was $125, after Groupon $92. IF MICHAEL HAD MENTIONED THE MONDAY SPECIAL IT WOULD HAVE BEEN MAYBE $60 plus more wings. As soon as I saw that the whole experience left a SOUR TASTE IN MY MOUTH. I WON'T BE BACK. She turned around and started making comments at the cook behind the counter... Not a fan of this place. Went to celebrate my sons birthday and I took a cake to sing him happy birthday. When I asked for them to bring it out they brought it in the bag. I'm sorry but every single restaurant I've been to has the common sense and customer service to put the candles on the cake and lite it! I had to ask for plates and forks on top of it and their response was " we didn't know" really?? Mmmm common sense skipped their staff! Then the manager couldn't figure out where to find a lighter to lite the candles. Completely clueless... We had to ask them to please remove the dirty plates after finishing our meal.
