Not as it used to be. This place used to be good. Food and service was great. I was one of the first customers. Now that they are really busy I've been disappointed many times. Coca cola is also busy but their soda doesn't suffer. They just slam the stuff together and serve it. I don't care how busy a place is, give the same food same service every time. Can't keep up? congrats business is good!! hire more help or my opinion fire some hire better. "Sorry we are really busy" sounds like a personal problem. Flat pizza that taste worse than a microwave pizza service feels like I should be happy you even looked at me let alone took my order and said thank you. I don't expect to be seated right away or get my food right away but while I'm waiting make it pleasant and make it worth my wait. Instead the employee look panic and rushed and the food suffers. You complain and they don't even care they just nod and wish you would shut up already. Anyways. I used to live this place! Last time, I brought my family we took a long time to get a table, even though we could clearly see some available. My family came here today to relax and eat before the festival started so since it was full inside we decided to sit outside their bench. We were waiting for about 20 minutes and saw people who just got there get called in. My husband went up to the lady who checks everyone in and asked her if we were called she said yes and our name was checked off! It defeats the purpose to have benches outside then!!!! So this is my first official review on Yelp. Although I'm not big on social networking sites and I believe that Yelp is such, I felt compelled to set up an account to voice my complete and utter displeasure with the consistently poor customer service at what should otherwise be a great fun restaurant to go and eat at with family and friends. I've been a long time customer of Alondra's Hot Wings, since the days of their original restaurant in the City of Paramount. When I knew they were opening up a location in Montebello I was very excited to have them so close to home. Unfortunately, it seems that since they opened their quality of wait-staff and overall customer service has steadily declined. In the early days of the Montebello store when on any given day you would run into any one of the owner-brothers, the service was excellent. But perhaps because they have expanded into other cities, with other restaurants they have been unable to maintain a consistent quality of service among it's personnel. Keep in mind that I'm not writing this review after only one visit, I am talking about countless times at the restaurant within the last 18 months hoping that on the next visit that the service will be better. I run my own company, not a restaurant but service related and if I provided the type of customer service that Alondra's provides I would be out of business. In the case of Alondra's, the food fare that they provide is very straight forward and to their testament it is always consistently good. Perhaps therein lies the answer, that so long as the food is good the customer will overlook such poor service. In my case, I'm to the point that if I'm in the mood for wings I call my order in and even then more often than not my order still gets screwed up but in the very least I don't have to sit through the excruciating experience of having to deal with incompetent, innattentive and indifferent wait staff with the sole exception of Mariana who is only there on occasion. I write this review not to turn people off from this otherwise great place for wings, fries and sandwiches but in the hopes that one of the owner-operators takes note and sets at the very least a minimum standard of professionalism among it's wait staff in order to bring full circle what should really be an overall fun and delicious dining experience! read more

5 stars for the food, super delish!! -3 stars for the customer service. I been to this one twice an both times they messed up my order or gave it to me super late. The first time I called in a big order of wings 50 & 50 (2 different flavours). I called when they opened to make sure it can be done. They said yes just call 1 hour before pick up. I called 1.30 hours before (11:30pm), I arrived at 1:10pm, I paid they tell me it will be out shortly, 30 minutes later they assure me it will be 15 min more, another 30 min later I see a big order out I assume it was mine. nope this lady called in an order, paid, 10 minute later walked out her order. (oh hell no, this pissed me off). I ask to speak to the manager, and she didnt care. I walked out of there at 3PM. The only reason I sucked it up and didnt walk away was because those wings were for a party. BTW this happened to us again a this location but we went home with the wrong flavours. So frustrating. I like Alhambras location better, but the wait is long but they will let you know it will take long. Better service there! read more

So I am rating this place with 1 star and that is only because It won't let me put no stars on here. The reason why I am give this place such a bad review is there service. Fisrt time I went to this location it was amazing, but then again in was the middle of the day in the moddle of the week...there was only a few people there. I decided to try the Alhambra location, it was very busy and we got the worse service ever and were mad to feel like it was our fault that they gave use the wrong order. So today I decided to try the Montebello location looking for the same excellent service that I recieved before....I was so wrong!! It was busy was told that it would be a 20 min wait. I waited 40 mins and watched people that had just walked in get sitted before us. We were a small party and yes I asked for a booth, I thought that what the wait was, but watched a couple who arrived 15 mins after us get a booth. I went to ask what was going on and all I was told was that there name was before mine, he did even look down at the page to see where my name was ???..not even sorry about it. So finally we were sitted and I think only because I asked. All so as soon as we were sitted a party of for who had just arrived were sitted right behind us. I had to just leave...I just took take the bad service anymore. Walked in on a Tuesday night for my friends birthday and the place wasn't busy it all. There was only 3 of us so we let the hostsess know and she told us to give her a minute and we sat down. Now, if you've never been here, this place is small. There's about 10 booths along the wall (if that) and a handful of tables. We were a small group, so we would've taken whatever and like I said, there wasn't a lot of people inside. 10 minutes later she walks us over to a booth, hands us a menu and she walks away. We browsed the menus for a minute or two and waited for our waiter to come by to take our drink orders. Nothing. Ten minutes went by and not one of the four waiters walking around gave us a glance. Oh, okay. 10 more minutes went by. After waving down the manager, we finally got our drink orders in and placed our food order. I, personally, would've never chosen this place, especially on my birthday, but my friend hadn't been and someone got it in her head that this place had amazing wings. WRONG. 45 minutes later we got our order, which included said "amazing" wings. The $20 pizza was average. The cheese bread balls were actually pretty good, but that's where the goodness ended. To the wings. I like wings. Me and my two friends are always trying to find new places with tasty wings. These wings were the saddest looking wings I've ever seen in my life. For one, they were miniscule. Like, come on now. I've seen better "wings" from a fast food joint and to top it off, they were dry as hell. That best wings award should be tossed out. Seriously. Even the people sitting in the booths around us were disappointed. We ate what we could and decided to cut our loses and head out. It was a mission getting the attention of a waiter for our bill, so again, we played the waiting game. We set it up to be split and waited. And waited. Then finally the waiter came back and ducked out before we even opened it. I don't know how they managed to double charge one person, but that was just the icing on the cake. I am a huge Wing fan and the wings here never let me down and some of the best ever, my 2 faves are Lime Chile and Spicy honey bbq "always order extra ranch of course". They have some great sandwhiches and a really good hot dog thats pretty big and yumtacular. I can seriously kill about 25 wings half and half with fries and apps. The reason I am giving them only 3 stars and not 5 is that the service is never the same here sometimes if i'm lucky I will get good service, they just need to better their skills the place is small already with usually 3 waitresses so seriously it should not be hard, I have waited forever to get serviced and there was barely people there her excuse was I did not know you where not helped sorry, or forever to give me my bill or to charge me especially during lunch time c'mon I still love the food but the service needs a major kick in the cheese balls. If you are going with a large group ...we were 7 people. NOT the place. The larger tables are ugly and the vent is blasts cold air on your guests and food. The host misleads you while you wait outside to say it's a 25 min wait and she graciously fakes a smile and comes out sweetly convincing you it will be 5 more min which turns out to be over an hour wait. For God sakes! How could you lie to a kid that straight out tells the host they are hungry for a chicken wing! The experience will ruin your experience. I ordered here to go, ordered hot wings with ranch dressing, fries, and fettucine alfredo. They said it would be ready in 20 minutes. When I got there my order was ready except for the fries, they must have forgotten, so I had to wait an extra 10 minutes with a 2 year old for them to cook the fries. Then when I got home, I had absolutely no dressing, which was odd since during that 10 minutes they were making little containers full of dressing. The wings are small, fettucine dry, bread was hard. I normally get pizza and wings (mango habanero is bomb), which are my top favorite food choices from here. Lunch menus are totally worth it also. So my boyfriend went to this alondra's, and it's been a while since we have come here. The only reason he came to this location is because his co-workers wanted to go and it was the closest one. I asked my boyfriend to bring me back some food when he was leaving. I asked for chicken tenders with lime chili sauce on the side. I don't like the bones and I didn't want the sauce to dry out when I heated up my food which is why I asked for this on the side. Now, what I got was the actual wings with sauce already on the wings (dried out already). I normally don't write bad reviews, but this is not the first time we have come to this Alondra wings location and our order came back wrong, and we have had to wait a huge amount of time for our food. The experience's that we have had here have left me no desire to come back. Granted, I'll say that my boyfriend should have checked the container before he left. That part was in him. BUT the waiter got every single thing we asked for wrong. As if he wasn't even listening and caught wind of a few words and assumed what my boyfriend had ordered. I love the food and love the place. On here it says that do take out, every time I try to call in an order it literally takes 15-30 mins for someone to answer the phone. I literally have to call at least a half hour before I want to put my order in just because it takes that long. Went there with my bf for lunch. We got a 16 piece wings. 8 Cajun and 8 Thai chilli . Our waitress was helpful until the food came then completely ignored us after . First of all 1 thing of ranch isn't going to cut it with 16 wings and each side is extra. The wings had barely any meat on them and were so crispy it was like eating jerky .
