My 10x15 storage unit. I was worried it wouldn't be big enough but Robert's expert organizational skills made it look too easy.

I used Robert for two jobs. I first had him build a crate for a two piece marble table to protect it during moving/storage. He did a great job with that and was extremely nice and courteous. I even had him disassemble a desk while he was over. I liked his professionalism and demeanor so much I decided to use him for my local move into a storage unit. His rate was a tick more than some other quotes I received, but the cheapest quote I found had a number of one star reviews. Even though Robert only had a handful of reviews I decided to go with my instinct based on my opinion from meeting him, because good customer service is better than saving ten bucks an hour. I am happy my instinct is so good. :). Robert met me at the U-Haul rental right on time and brought Bill with him. My sister was a little skeptical because it was only two guys and Robert is not a big guy but they were both very strong and they hustled. Even though they were charging by the hour they were not lollygagging at all. They were all business and took great care with all of my items. I did not note any damage, dings or scratches. They do not supply blankets or cling wrap but I was told that up front and they wrapped everything very carefully with the supplies I purchased ahead of time. I used blankets I was going to donate anyway. I would recommend Rob for moving or any services you have around the house that need to be done. Sometimes it makes you feel good to give your business to all around nice guys and hard workers.

I booked Jackson of All Trades after getting several moving quotes because their $150/hour rate was…read moreone of the more affordable options, and a friend had used them before and had a good experience. Overall, my experience was a mixed bag with some definite pros and cons. My appointment was scheduled for 8:30 a.m., which I chose intentionally because this was an August move in Austin and I wanted to get as much done as possible before the worst heat of the day. At 8:06, one of the movers texted to let me know they were having truck problems and would be arriving between 9 and 9:30. They kept me updated, but ultimately didn't arrive and start until 9:30, a full hour after my scheduled time. Unfortunately, losing that hour meant much more of the move ended up happening during the peak afternoon heat I had specifically tried to avoid with the early appointment. They also called when they arrived because they weren't sure where to park, even though I had provided parking instructions in my confirmation email. They arrived in a U-Haul rather than one of the company's branded trucks, which I assume was related to the truck trouble. The two movers themselves were incredibly nice and pleasant throughout the entire move. They took good care of my furniture and wrapped and protected pieces thoroughly. Nothing about the handling of my belongings made me nervous, and I appreciated the care they took. That said, the pace was slower than I expected. For context, this was one person moving out of a one-bedroom apartment, not a family or large household, and I had done a LOT to prepare. Everything was fully packed, approximately 30 reusable moving boxes were staged together for easy loading, I had pre-wrapped some furniture and I even moved about 15 vacuum bags out to the truck myself. My old building did require navigating hallways and an elevator, which understandably added time to the load-out. On the other end, however, the truck could park directly outside my new ground-floor apartment with access through both the garage and front door, so unloading was about as straightforward as it could be. The move ultimately took about 6.5 hours. By the end, the Austin heat and humidity were understandably taking a toll and the pace had slowed considerably. Since I was paying by the hour, I eventually told them to leave some furniture for me to reassemble and some items for me to move into the correct rooms myself because the time and cost were continuing to climb and I needed to stop the clock. This is where I'm a little torn on whether I'd use them again. The hourly rate was considerably cheaper than several other quotes I received, but after a 6.5-hour move, I think the final cost probably ended up being similar to what I might have paid for a more expensive but more experienced or efficient crew. Sometimes a lower hourly rate isn't necessarily a lower total moving cost. Still, the guys were genuinely kind, took good care of my belongings and got everything safely from one apartment to the other. I especially appreciated them powering through a brutally hot Austin moving day. If half stars were an option, I'd probably land at 3.5. I'm rounding up to four because I really liked the crew and appreciated the care they took with my things, but the hour-late start, communication/organization issues and the overall pace would make me hesitant to book again.

He completed the job exactly as promised, arrived on time, and left the work site spotless when he finished. Most importantly, my tenants were very happy with the results. Eugene's communication was outstanding throughout the entire process. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of my questions, and made sure I understood what was being done. He also provided quotes for future projects, which I greatly appreciated. It's rare to find someone who is so honest, hardworking, reliable, and fair. Eugene is not only highly skilled but also a genuinely great person to work with. His integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail set him apart from others in the industry. I would not hesitate to hire him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for quality work and a stress-free experience. If you're looking for someone you can trust to get the job done right, Eugene is the person to call.

I didn't realize how much getting my: kitchen faucet tightened, office corner-shelves installed or a two floating shelves properly installed (after a previous handyman didn't place into the studs and one failed leaving books on my head!), and getting my doorbell replaced would improve my mental wellbeing. Our homes are a direct reflection of our mental health. I'd had those projects on my "to do list" for months but haven't trusted anyone to come into my home and help. I hired Eugene because he was quick to respond here to my request, he didn't ask for extra fees or anything unfair at all. He showed up and fixed my faucet for free until he was going to return and tackle my list. I'm slow to trust someone so.. Working alongside him I found that he is smart, resourceful, energetic, safety conscious and very fair in his prices and dealings. I feel fortunate to have found him and I have a list of other projects I'll chip away as I can afford them. I'll post more when he helps on these items, because he deserves to stay busy and grow his business--I'd love to help him--he's a FAIR & SQUARE PROFESSIONAL! I trust him and would vouch for him thus far.
