He will work to earn your business. Matt is trained in, and practices, a project management approach to his jobs. He can help you with a wide range of jobs because they have all trades covered. He is professional, ethical, respectful and communicative at all times. When you work with Matt, you are working with a local (South Austin) business that has been here for decades. He charges a fair price for top quality work. It is evident that he enjoys what he does and takes pride in the work that he personally completes or that of others who he oversees. Matt and his team have just completed a major project on an historic home that I own. He came to look at the house to assess the work required, provided a comprehensive written bid, and then scheduled the job. Work began promptly, as scheduled. He and/or Greg, his brother, were on the premise any time any of his staff were working, with two exceptions, both of which were discussed and approved by me in advance, and were requested in order for additional work to continue to the exterior of the home over a weekend. The job site was cleaned thoroughly at the end of each day. Change orders are no problem and are backed up with a written bid. Matt knew I liked to see what he was talking about, so when I couldn't be at the site, he was about sending photos to help me respond to his questions and/or give input or regarding changes. Upon completion of the project, I was provided with a final copy of all contracts and change orders, marked "Paid in Full" and signed by Matt in exchange for my final payment. I will definitely call on Matt to manage additional renovation projects that are on my list.

It was a…read morelarge remodel that consisted of knocking down a wall between the living room and dining/kitchen area, and taking out a closet that was connected to the wall. I also had new hard wood flooring installed, new lighting, all electrical outlets replaced, paint, a shed removed, a door replaced, installed all new appliances and more. It went very well. Here's what stands out. Gonzalo had a massive beam put in where the wall was taken out. He also placed a beam in perpendicularly as he said what was there was not sufficient. I had been told this by my inspector, so not only was Gonzalo correct about this, he took the initiative to let me know and put in a beam in this direction as well. Gonzalo and his team were at the sight every morning on time and worked through the day. I dropped in on occasion and they were always there making great progress. Gonzalo also has experience with foundations and told me that in his opinion, the foundation, although settling, was fine when he walked through the house with me when I was trying to decide if I was going to buy or not. This was verified by a structural engineer that I hired later. He was spot on. It's nice to have a contractor who has a lot of experience in varying aspects of home structures that you can rely on and know that the job is done right. His team: Gonzalo's electrical team came through like a well oiled machine and made the changes to the sockets and face plates, installed and moved lighting and ceiling fans, added lighting where there had been none, etc. They were great. Drywall work was amazing. No signs that any changes were made where the wall was removed and lighting moved. The ceiling where the wall was removed was perfect. And finally, he cleaned as he went and hauled off all of the trash. When you take out a wall and put in all new appliances, there is plenty of trash. I appreciate him for making my reno gorgeous and safe. I've had tenants in the house for 4 months with not one issue.
