HOWEVER-- the guys at lumber liquidators convinced my husband he could do it himself. Long Story short, many youtube videos on how-to's later, we received a recommendation for Central Texas Remodeling and Flooring. I contacted Keith and he was at my house quick with a free consult. His pricing was reasonable, and I asked how soon we could get the floors in (i'm thinking about 3 weeks or so). He was able to get his crew out the following week. Took them two days and holy sh--.. my living room looks amazing!!! Keith and his crew did a GREAT job. I always hear these horror stories about contractors, and I was SO happy I didn't have any problems with Keith or his crew. Keith was so helpful and his crew was super friendly. Something that should have taken no more than one week. But there was a delay at every turn. It took over 3 weeks (closer to a month) to complete. Again, it was a plain old tiled shower. Nothing complicated or extravagant. Keith was very apologetic with every delay but after the first couple it just got old. One day it was a broken down truck, another day "the computers were down" at the supply store. Time after time, he said he'd be there at 9 in the morning and then by afternoon I'd get a text saying he wasn't going to make it that day at all. Sometimes I wouldn't get any notification at all. Just an apology the next day. Either this guy has the worst luck in the world or he just has more work than he can handle. I would bet that another outfit could remodel an entire bathroom in less time than it took CTRF to do just the shower. Anyway, you be the judge. If you're o.k. having people traipse in and out of your house for almost a month just to redo your shower, then Keith might be your man. *His tile layer guy is awesome. That guy did a hell of a good job, and I bet it took him no more than 6 hours total. Just wish it hadn't taken 3 weeks to get to that stage.

I cannot say enough good things about Pedro Carrion from Pedro the Handy Man…read more We had a 120 sq. foot job in Pflugerville where we needed to have some carpet removed and tile installed. Initially we contracted with another company who flaked out after 3 weeks of delays in starting. In hindsight this was probably the best thing that could have happened. I got Pedro's contact information from a neighbor who used his services and made a call. I spoke with Dee and from that conversation I knew this was the right company. She mentioned several considerations about the installation that the other company didn't bring up or simply didn't know to bring up. Many of Dee's suggestions made perfect sense and the job is much nicer for her suggestions. Pedro came over to give us a solid quote and we discussed several details about how we wanted to job to look and he was able the start the next day. Pedro was extremely courteous and right on time. Both he and Dee were great with communicating via text and email and were very reasonable on their prices. Pedro was very detail oriented and diligent about his work. The install is straight and level, looks amazing, and his attention to details is readily apparent. Most importantly the wife is thrilled. At the end of the day the job was completed promptly and beyond our satisfaction. I will absolutely use Pedro again on our next job and would 100% recommend him. www.pedrothehandyman.com Paul Morgan

I'm writing this review on behalf of my family, and we just want to express how satisfied and…read moregrateful we are for the work that's been done in our home. We initially reached out to GIS because my engagement party was being held at my family's home, and we needed the interior repainted. We also decided to replace the outlets for a fresher look. Tony and Mark were the ones who came out to get everything started, and the inside looks absolutely beautiful now! After the party, we decided to take things a step further and have the wood flooring in our living room replaced to match the rest of the house. Once again, Tony, Mark, and their team were incredible, fast, detail-oriented, and so professional. The attention to detail during both the removal and installation of the flooring really stood out. During that project, my grandmother mentioned a few floorboards in her bedroom that had started to buckle. When Mark came to inspect, he discovered moisture beneath the boards and immediately walked us through all possible scenarios. Together with Tony, he helped us find a solution and identified that the issue came from a window that hadn't been properly sealed, allowing water to leak inside. While that was unexpected, we were so thankful for their honesty and transparency throughout the process. Once the window, wall, and flooring were repaired, her room has never looked better! We also had the inside and outside of our fireplace redone, which looks amazing, along with refreshed caulking in both bathrooms that really gave the spaces a clean, updated look. Every project completed by Tony, Mark, and the rest of the GIS team has been superb. They're incredibly communicative, always keeping us updated on progress, timelines, and next steps. They've been patient in answering every question, quick to send detailed proposals for new projects, and most importantly, consistent in delivering quality, beautiful work. We honestly couldn't recommend them enough!

Contractors & Small Businesses -- Read This Before Working With GIS Contracting LLC…read more My HVAC company was subcontracted by GIS Contracting LLC, owned by Tony Gomez, to do the mechanical work at the Williamson County Bagel Shop. We completed the job in full, on time, and under a signed contract. After the work was done, Tony Gomez and GIS Contracting LLC refused to pay the remaining $13,600 they owe us. Repeated invoices, calls, and emails have been ignored thill this day 08/14/25. This is not just bad business -- it's a breach of trust that hurts local contractors who show up, do the work, and expect to be paid what was promised. If you're a contractor, supplier, or business owner, think twice before working with GIS Contracting LLC or Tony Gomez. Get every protection in writing, and be prepared to enforce it. Learn from my experience before it becomes yours. PS: GIS will comment under here saying the matter has been resolved but in fact nothing was ever resolved.

We love our Half Bath to Full Bath complete remodel done by IV Remodeling!…read more Our project was a bit complicated due to a COMPLETE Bathroom Transformation, which entailed relocation of Laundry Room to Garage to enlarge bathroom space, removal of wall and door to extend Half Bath to Full Bath, relocation of vanity & toilet for a rain shower install, raised ceiling, and a complete install of floor & wall tile. IV Remodeling was the only company out of 10 companies contacted that gave us a very detailed point by point estimate. The owner, project manager, and the crew was very friendly, helpful and experienced with all aspects of the install. The entire team was always there for any questions we had during the entire remodeling process. The project came out exactly how we wanted it and we love it Very Much! We really appreciate everything the team done for us and of course we highly recommend IV Remodeling and will use them for future projects! I generally do not like to give negative reviews, especially for small businesses. However, given…read morethe impact of a home renovation on a customer, I am writing this to inform potential customers of my experience with Home Remodel Pro/Home Pixel. For reference-I signed up for a kitchen + master bathroom remodel. TLDR: Do not go with this contractor. Between delayed schedules, wait and hurry up rush work, alleged non-payment of sub-contractors, nickel-and-dime line costs, and communication capability - there are many other great contractors in the area to go with for your next home renovation. I am also currently under threat from three sub-contractors for mechanics liens and am aware of other clients who may be pursuing legal action. Quality: B- Final quality of product is good, but with many small defects and issues. All work is done through sub-contractors - none were employees of Home Remodel Pro, so the overall quality I attribute to the sub-contractors work and my ability to be at the site daily. I saw John on site 5 total. Many of the defects were due to "wait and hurry up" where no work would occur for days/weeks, and then suddenly subs would show up in the evening or near the weekend and rush to finish the job as quickly as possible - many telling us so they could get paid. Cost: C- Even though John quoted us, shortly after accepting and giving the 50% deposit (thus the point of no return) there was an immediate and constant stream of things either not done or not included as well as extra charges that put him in line with a higher cost contractor including: - I chose to do flooring myself, so demo was agreed to clean the place and prep for flooring. When the old flooring turned out to be more difficult, I was charged $3k to level the floor. Pictures included of what Home Remodel Pro felt was "complete enough". - Removal of base board resulted in a quote for thousands (which I turned down), leading to issues. In the kitchen, the leveling only went to the baseboard, so when I removed the baseboard I had to chip away at the uneven parts in order to install the floor. For the bathroom, the sub contractors only tiled to the baseboard while I was away, so we were unable to tile the wall due to the gap. Additionally, timing of payment and completion of work was tenuous. Countertop material due 10 weeks before installation. Also, I had to pay up to 95% as "cabinets were in" even though everything around them, appliances, and finish work was not. I would recommend to any potential client to lay out in full detail everything that is included at each stage, and to not accept any verbal/hand shake agreements. Communication & Schedule F Schedules have been awful. We are in week 13 of a 6 week kitchen project. The 3 week bathroom project took 9 weeks. Having said that, I was in constant texting/calls with John to push for the schedule to move forward the entirety of the process. It is very easy to get ahold of John when money is due for the project. Other than that, it is nearly impossible. He is always in the middle of a meeting, dealing with an emergency, or having a family problem. John also informed me on purchasing incorrect items. He approved a hood/vent combo that ended up not being compatible and so additional cost needed to be incurred in modifying the hood. He also advised on the wrong tub, leading to a week and about $1500 in extra costs. Customer Experience: F This was an awful experience. I needed to constantly push John and work with subs directly to get anything done. I often felt as if I was the GC myself. Trash was often left at the house for weeks, we had to reach out to sub-contractors directly to beg them to come work on the house, and all the while John was either unavailable or unwilling to solve many of these problems. We are also now under threat from 3 subs who say they have not been paid for work 14-30+ days old, and we have paid John in full(except the last 5% which is far less than what the subcontractors are claiming they are owed) . Do not go with this company.
