    Award Wieners

If you're craving a hot dog, this is the place to stop by. Award Wieners is a quick service restaurant in Disney's California Adventure theme park. It's located in Hollywood Land before the Monsters Inc ride. Award Wieners offers Street style hot dogs with the addition of unique toppings and accompaniments. The menu has All Beef Hot Dogs, the bacon street dog topped with grilled onions, bell peppers, and bacon crumble. The quick service spot also has the Uptown Chili dog with chili, pepper jack cheese, and corn chips. There's is also a plant based Philly dog if you're looking for meat free choices. There are sides you can get as well such as fruit or Filmstrip fries, which are fries with creative toppings such as carne asada, guacamole, and salsa. Tables to eat at are right next to Mickey's PhilharMagic. Award Wieners sometimes offers seasonal or limited time menu items that are tied to special events or celebrations. In the past, some of the offerings included unique treats like deep fried pineapple. Right now for the Lunar New Year, a Scallion Pancake Tostada is offered here which includes Fried Scallion Pancake, Bulgogi Beef, Kimchi Aioli and spicy scallion salad. Hours for Award Wieners vary, but the quick service restaurant is usually open from 10:30 AM to 9:00 P.M. You'll want to check the Disneyland mobile application though! Discounts are accepted here which includes the Magic Key Holder Discount and the Disney Vacation Club Discount. I normally just get the bacon street dog. It's good!

Award wieners was quick and convenient. Mobile pick up is the way to go. We had a couple of uptown chili dogs and asada fries. The chili dogs were good. I just wish it had a bit more chili. We probably won't order the asada fries again. There's a nice open area not too far away that was perfect for us to sit and eat with shade from the sun.

The Yuletide carnitas torta was pretty good, but the bread was too soft so it felt like everything was falling apart. Still, the flavors were good and the meat was soft and flavorful. It might be a hit or miss for some people because the texture throws a lot off. My brother thought it tasted like vomit. The crispy curled fries were a new way for me to eat potatoes and it was fun to eat! Perfectly crispy and well cooked. The deep fried Oreos weren't very impressive, but it was cute to add the holiday favorites of peppermint and chocolate together!

Uptown Chili Dog- $10.99. This was okay; the chili was mild with beans, but the filmstrip fries are tasty!

If you're craving hot dogs, Award Wieners may satisfy that hunger. The menu offers some enticing options. I've enjoyed both the regular menu and seasonal items. The Bacon Street Dog, All-Beef Dog, and the Filmstrip fries are my favorites on the year-round menu. The Uptown Chili Dog, also a regular item, is okay. The chili is mild with beans. I prefer a bolder chili. The corn chips added a nice texture, though. Plant-based options, kids' meals, and alcoholic beverages are also available. Seasonal desserts are sometimes offered here. Award Wieners offers mobile ordering and discounts for Magic Key pass holders. However, there can sometimes be a wait for both stand-by and mobile orders. Free ice water is available upon request. Plenty of tables and seating are around the corner from the ordering windows, and a couple of self-serve condiment stations with relish, mustard, ranch, ketchup, and utensils.

Was looking forward to trying a plant base item at DCA. Opted for the plant based philly dog that has some grilled onions and mushrooms. Save yourself the money, time and don't get it. I don't understand how Disney with so much money and ability to find top chefs can't provide decent plant based food. Few plant based food items are good and this in theory should have been one of them. Th hotdog itself was so bad it didn't taste like food. The best part of this was the grilled onions and mushrooms. I'm sure they sell other good items at this place, but not the plant based items.

Fall 2025 update: Film strip fries are the best! They are crispy and cut to hold a lot of toppings like a chip. That is why carne asada fries is one of my regular favorites here. It's topped with marinated steak, cheese The serving is small but it's filling. One of the seasonal sandwiches is the pambazo sandwich, filled with chorizo, a hot dog, lettuce and crema with a side of fries. This is a hearty delicious sandwich so you can definitely share this plate. It is full of flavor and is not spicy. It does comes with a pickled jalapeno. Great season dish and i recommend getting it before it is gone. I like the bacon wrapped hot dog and the chili dog. I personally like the street dog versions but for a park dish, their version is satisfying. It is also just enough food to not be full off of, allowing you to eat other things around the parks if you want to save room. Overall, great place to grab something quick and easy.

Mobile order is very handy! The chile relleno torta is the best item I've had here it was incredible!!' Great spot to eat at DCA. Service was excellent.

I really enjoyed the elote dog and filmstrip fries both times but they've really got to fix their mobile order system for this spot! Both times we've ended up waiting 15-20 minutes after arriving. The mobile order lines were really long and it gets confusing because people who do NOT have their orders ready yet get in line and stand in front of those who already have their orders ready for pick up. I'm not sure what causes the hold up for mobile orders but I hope it improves.

Award Wieners is located by Mickey's Philharmonic Magic and across from the Disney Jr Mickey Mouse Club. They've got delicious hot dogs and yummy asada fries. I got the uptown chili dog and it was topped with crunchy Fritos. It also came with a side of fries. We ordered in the app and the workers just hand you the items through a window. They have seating next to Mickey's Philharmonic Magic.

Many items at DCA and Disneyland are pretty pricey and most of the food is mediocre (For the price), the film strip fries here were actually really good! Very crispy! Tried the Carne Asada Fries ($12.99), good size for the price, one will definitely fill you up, good to snack on and share with others too. The steak was just okay, not well seasoned, but overall the fries itself were really good!

Went to CA Adventure, trying to live on the edge and branch out from my go-to Churros, beignets, and chimichangas because you can never go wrong with those, right? I bravely ordered the carne asada fries to share with my husband, hoping for a heroic portion that would justify the risk. Size-wise, the fries were a disappointment. There wasn't enough to wage a salad-bar sized battle over. The fries themselves were tasty enough, but when you pile meat, salsa, and guac on top, you expect a flavor nado. Unfortunately, the meat was bland, and the guac tasted suspiciously like the store-bought "Quac" sauce. Still, I love EVERYTHING Disney and will return. Next time, I'll probably go for straight-up fry strips with a wiener! With my discount, the total came to $12.60, which isn't exactly a steal for a small victory, but hey dreams are priceless!

The Baseline: For theme park to-go food stands the food must be tasty, have an experience, reliable service, and be a part of the experience. Food: Hot dogs. They are a bit higher end hot dogs with some niche toppings and styles but it is still a hot dog. The Film strip fries are a must (skip the cutie option). Drinks are theme park standards here (soda, water, etc.). Service: Disney staff are fast and efficient delivering food and the service is great. Ambiance: Good ambiance for the Hollywood street feel. The award and hot dogs thing works for the area but if someone gave me a hotdog for an award I would not be feeling it unless I was starving.

I was at Disneyland's California Adventure with some friends for the day when they started ranting and raving about how good the hot dogs are Award Wieners are. This place was pretty much right at the front of the park so as soon as we walked in, we headed to the line and awaited our turn to order. Once at the window, I ordered what some might consider the most boring hot dog order of all time, a plain hot dog on a bun. Why did I order this you ask? Because of a place has a boring basic dog, they clearly aren't going to be that great of a hot dog place. The hot dog was handed to me right away and what I took a bite of was one of the most mediocre hot dogs I've ever had in my life. It tasted worse than a ballpark dog, it was less memorable than a gas station hot dog, and it's something I will probably never think of again after leaving this review. Overall, Award Wieners tastes like just another mediocre theme park joint with hot dogs. Disney has a ton of food options, this will not be a repeat for me as a

I believe it's a little truck in the food area and I am not sure if there's seating around, but I think not since it's giving a street dog vibe. My order was made so fast! I got the typical LA dog, which was wrapped in bacon and had grilled onions and bell peppers on top. I can't believe this was my first street dog EVER and that's when I realized what I was missing out all the time after concerts... It was SOOO good!!! I'm so glad I was feeling gluttonous and got an extra large glizzy because I ended up gobbling up the whole thing. This was exactly what I needed honestly. Yay hot dogs! The only minor thing that I didn't love is that I ordered "homemade chips" and they just gave me a small bag of Lays for $2.50. I didn't love that I payed that much for probably a 50 cent worth bag when I expected some nice homemade ones so they should definitely change that on the orders.

I was told that the Chicago Dog was good. I had the Chili Dog with cheese. It was okay. The chili had good flavor. Based on prior reviews, I was expecting that signature snap when I bit into the dog. I was disappointed that it was not there. The vanilla ice cream was great. The fries were fresh and hot. This place is on a busy street so it can get rather loud sitting outside.
