Went inside and they had a small section of new Jellycats, picked up two of the Valentine's Day macaroons and looked at a couple others. They had several great sale items at 70% off. Overall, the store is super cute and the owner and the person that were working there were super nice and friendly. I find the other reviews hard to believe but maybe they've changed over the years. No "hello," no acknowledgment nothing. Almost immediately after, another white customer came in and she greeted her and began helping her right away. The difference in treatment was very noticeable. Throughout the time we were in the store, she kept looking at me in a strange and uncomfortable way. It felt like we were being judged rather than welcomed as paying customers. There was no effort to assist us, check on us, or make us feel comfortable in the space. Customer service should be equal and respectful to everyone who walks through the door. Instead, I left feeling ignored and singled out. I don't take accusations like this lightly, but the experience genuinely felt discriminatory. I hope management takes this seriously and evaluates how customers are being treated. No one should feel unwelcome in a business because of how they look.

He came over and offered to help us out. He got a light bulb as there wasn't one in it and placed it in the lamp then plugged it in. She was warm, pleasant, and genuinely kind. She made eye contact with me right away and I think she could tell I was a little overwhelmed. I let her know that I was waiting for curbside and it had not shown up yet. She immediately jumped into action and offered to help me right away. She brought out the order quickly and then mentioned, in such a gentle and thoughtful way, that I might have been parked in the wrong area. She even offered to show me the correct place. I stepped outside and it turned out that it was my mistake, but she never made me feel bad or silly for it. This is the type of hospitality we need. Her warmth completely changed the tone of my visit and made the entire experience feel calm and stress free. Although I usually try to avoid the holiday crowds, I will absolutely be coming back to shop in person at this location. Knowing that people like Angela are here to guide the experience makes all the difference.

Rubie showed sympathy and compassion by helping me navigate the situation. She advocated to WS to leave the incorrect bed in the interim so we had something to sleep on. However, despite my enjoyable browsing, I just bought a load of white cardboard boxes that I had pre-ordered to make a maze/playhouse for my cat. I thought his maze/playhouse would look much nicer if I used white cardboard boxes that do not have labels all over them, rather than brown cardboard amazon boxes.
