Harr Toyota - Total loss damage

Harr Toyota

(205 reviews)

Ok, so this review can only speak for my buying experience, but here's how that went…read more.. I was in a bad accident that totalled my beloved little Prius, and I needed to get into something quick to make sure that I could keep doing all the things most of us have to do...drive to work, drive the kids to school, soccer, running through the woods with my dog, and the occasional work that I do for the Deep State that I'm not really allowed to talk about openly. Anyway, I knew what I wanted, misread the Harr website as that vehicle being available, and called them up. Nana answered the phone, told me that I may have misread the website, but also told me that if I wanted to come in he could show me some cars that were a close match, and he could do some digging to see if there was anything hiding on the lot. He wasn't pushy on the phone, and I decided to head over. When I got there it was pretty gross outside, that and the fact that it was Sunday may have kept some people home, so things were pretty quiet. Nana met me right after I walked in and checked in with the front desk, and right off the bat he had the presence of a salesperson who wants to help a customer get what they need, not just get another car sold, although we did chat about the fact that he really likes selling cars, and he's good at what he does, which shows when you talk to him. We went over what my car needs to be in terms of driving, safety, and all that jazz, and we talked about what makes a car a no go. Nana determined that there were a few used options, and they were fine, but I wasn't loving them, and he showed me some new options, one of which I ended up purchasing, a shiny new 2026 Corolla Cross LE, and my first ever new vehicle in 47 years of existence. We took it for a ride, and sure it was a bit different than my loyal and widely missed little Prius, but it's still a Toyota, so everything feels pretty familiar, just a bit more space age. Through this whole process, Nana didn't try to upsell me on silly doodads, he didn't try to push any cars that cost more but weren't for me, and he made the process stress free to a level that's close to unbelievable. Even after the sale, while I was waiting for the whole thing to conclude, and go get my new spaceship, I called him up to see if there was any way we could expedite things so I could get back to everything I hadn't been able to do without my poor, poor, little Prius around anymore, and he made so more magic happen and had me in my car and off the lot after making a few adjustments with his team at Harr, my insurance people, the Registry, and maybe some deities... I dunno, but whatever he did worked, and it made my week start off a bit more smoothly. The moral of the story is, I had a great experience as a buyer at Harr, and Nana takes that credit. The rest of the team definitely did great too, I just didn't have lots of interaction with them. Shout out to the front desk, the finance guy, and the nice lady who who went over the thousand signatures with me. Top tier. Do Recommend.

My experience related to service, not sales…read more I had previously taken my Jeep to a different dealership as that is where I purchased the vehicle, but decided to try Harr as it is significantly closer to me. I did call ahead to setup an appointment, although next day appointments were readily available, I did choose later in the week as I required a loaner to be arranged. When I arrived, Brian the service advisor was able to assist me promptly and get my vehicle checked in for TSB repair and oil change. He setup the rental vehicle, kept me informed during the repair process, and was able to get my vehicle returned to me, fixed, the next day. The service technicians did a great job on the actual repair as well, as I was able to instantly notice the improved steering on the highway. Brian was able make this stressful situation resolved in a timely and professional manner.

All I can say is I had TERRIBLE experiences both times. When I went for service, they messed up my power running boards, and the service advisor was extremely rude. Then, when I was there recently, I worked with a sales person named Carlos. And I DO NOT recommend working with him. My finance and I were trying to explain what we were looking for, and all he would do was talk over me, and disregard everything I said. He only listened to my finances opinion. He was very snappy when it came to me, and it was a very unpleasant experience. Then it was a nightmare of a time trying to get the truck after we signed everything. Took over a week, with little to no communication, and no one was on the same page at all when it came to the status of the truck. I will not be coming to this dealership again. And I do not recommend it to others.

I texted them to let them know that they made a mistake with their listing, and the guy responded not to bother him unless I wanted to buy the truck. This truck was priced as a Trd Pro trim, so it is about $10,000 over priced. Here we are 30 days later and they still have this truck listed as a Trd Pro trim. This is completely misleading and fraudulent. I would never do business with this company. Please don't shop here, and take notice of all the negative reviews.

I know the strategies they implement. I can definitely say that their prices are BEYOND reasonable. Cars are quality. They come with a clean CarFax. Steve Smith (ask for him!) was BEYOND polite, honest, personable, funny, and made me feel at ease. He doesn't know I was a car saleswoman (Steve! If you're reading this...I'm sorry I didn't tell you). I can say this was the smoothest process ever. No haggling. Prices are usually under KBB value. In and out in an hour WITH my new car. More than reasonable offer for my trade-in. I told him exactly what I was looking for and he brought out a car that matched my personality. I literally bought the first car he showed me. It was PERFECT! This was the first time I didn't test drive 30 cars, lol. He listened. He executed. He exceeded my expectations. Period. Steve Smith was amazing. Best salesperson I've literally ever dealt with and I wish he would come work for my company, lol. I will say that EVERYONE in the office was beyond. Anyone you will deal with at this company will take care of you. From management to sales- I was HAPPY! We were all shooting the sh*t and they were all engaging with me instead of being secretly upset that Steve was making the last sale of the night, haha. They even played my favorite song as I was exiting!! They were ALL fun, easygoing, HONEST (can I say that 5 more times?!), and all of the things you'd hope for when it comes to car sales. Or sales in general. Bringing my fiancé and dad! Do it. You won't regret your experience! 10 STARS!
