I went to buy a vehicle from them, they assured me everything was in good condition and the car was ready to be sold, I drove two and half hours with my mother. When we got there the car looked okay visually and ran okay, if you weren't mechanically inclined then you'd never know you're being sold a piece of junk. They fix and clean the cars just enough to run well and look okay to secure the sale. Car had a cracked exhaust just behind the muffler that was barely hanging on, the ac didn't work and the compressor was completely broken and seized, the belt was sliding right over the seized pulley. The front headlight was out. The central exhaust gasket just after the cat was not even a proper gasket used on an exhaust system, still not sure what the gasket thing they used was but it was not meant for an exhaust. Air filter into the engine looked like it was 6-7 years old and there was an interior panel missing that covered the fuse box. And to put the cherry on top, there was an absolutely catastrophic oil leak, the entire bottom of the engine was dripping in oil. They assured me everything worked well and there were no leaks and no issues at all with the car just for me to drive and see a complete piece of junk that at best needed $5k of work. UPDATED since spring appears to be finally here (we hope), i opted to swap out the winter tires i got for my wife when we first moved here. since i had such a great experience at a-tech i figured we could have them take care of it here in shrewsbury rather than drive an hour to the costco where i got the winter tires. cody was great again in helping me schedule an appointment on short notice. couldnt be happier with their work and service. thanks again a-tech!

When I moved to Worcester a number of years back, I knew no one, and, pretty soon after I got here,…read moremy car got slammed into by one of the locals. My insurance adjuster could not recommend any body shop, but he could tell me where he takes his. So, I went to that place, and they recommended Star-Tech for the non-body repairs. Abe is pretty much the whole show at this place, and he is honest as they come. If this Turd was charged for the repairs, it is because Abe probably heard this guy tell him over the phone that he approved the charges. Now maybe this Turd couldn't string together a clear sentence and meant to express to Abe ambivalence, but I don't think for a minute that Abe would purposely put through a fix without authorization. Also, it seems that Turd uses Yelp just to vent his anger, except in the case of Niko's Pizza? Niko's Pizza is the hole that I looked to for assistance when I first drove to the Worcester area. I was lost. The guy behind the counter wouldn't even give me directions unless I bought something. I got a slice of pizza, and it was less than good. Abe cares very much about his customers. When we were on the hunt for a new car, my wife mentioned it to Abe, just in passing, and he took time out, without her asking or dropping hints or expecting anything, to discuss with her what would be best to ensure the safety of our three young girls. He also isn't out to rip you off. When an exhaust clamp and the surrounding exhaust parts were damaged, Abe explained that, if he fixed it, he would replace all three parts, costing us significantly, but, if I took it to Lou's Custom Exhaust, they could probably just weld together a solid fix without replacing the parts, for much less. His prices are very reasonable, and he is generally very prompt. We've gone to numerous mechanics in our time, and most of them are out to make a quick buck at your expense. One guy even tried writing in additional "fails" into my wife's inspection that weren't required testing. I've seen a lot of crooked mechanics in my time, and so I know the difference between the good ones and the bad ones. I only trust my car repairs to Abe and Star-Tech. His fixes are always timely and well-done, and he is just a good person. I wholly recommend his shop.

See, a bunch of days prior it started yelling at me every time I had to slow down, probably because Priuses love to go fast, and maybe because it was going to die and take me and my family along for the ride. Who's to say? Anyway, for whatever reason, I decided to live, and went over to Duquette's to see if they had any time during the afternoon that week, and do you know what? They had time the very next afternoon! And then do you know what else? The owner called me back and was like, "we can do it now if you're cool leaving your car until 7 or 8." I was like, "Wow! Thats amazing!" And it was amazing, and they fixed my car for the reasonable price they quoted, and they had a cool shop dog, and they had fun music, and they were all super friendly! Even if your car isn't in need of repair, you should go just to see a cool dog, and if you get some top notch work done on your car, well that's even better! Fifteen stars.
