Corporate account holder here. This place is awful. Independently operated. 1st experience was a couple weeks ago. I returned vehicle with full tank, when dropping off, employee asked if I needed a receipt while I was still outside. I said yes so we went inside and he printed it off, while walking out I was looking at it. I knew the booking was about $130. Then I see the receipt said over $200. They charged me $60 for gas. Immediately went back in and the employee already had the receipt with gas taken off ready. CLEARLY did this on purpose hoping if I didn't ask for a receipt he'd get that up charge. And if I did ask for the receipt, he hoped I wouldn't catch it. Today... I go in to get a vehicle for a one way. And they tell me they are no longer doing one ways and "they tried to call" never got a call. I pressed the employee why this would happen as this rental was for work and was critical. After pressing him on how this could happen, he backtracked and said it was just that they don't have any now, not that they "no longer doing one ways". My assumption is, there is some incentive for them to not send out one way vehicles because it makes their location harder to run or less profitable. Evident in their willingness to try and rip me off a week or so earlier. Went down the street to enterprise, no account. Made an a reservation and got a car in less than 20 minutes and the staff was great. Despite having an account with Avis/budget. I WILL NEVER use this location again. Very shady business. read more

I absolutely hate to leave a a negative review, but this was a horrible experience....first I made a reservation using Priceline for a pick up at 12pm. We arrived about 12pm prompt. The door was locked and two people were inside. We waited outside thinking maybe because of the sketchy location they locked the door and the employee would finish soon and let us in. The employee did not acknowledge us or come to open the door until 12:25. We stood outside, checked in online while we waited, and waited in the wind without being acknowledged for about 25 minutes. Finally the employee and the customer made their way to the door. The employee did not let us in and told us that he was closed. I have to say I am furious. I have to be in Orange County in 2 hours for a business appointment. The employee was not apologetic in anyway, had no emotion and appears to be stoned. In addition, 2 other women besides me showed up to rent cars and he told all of us that the computer system shut down 20 minutes after close and that he could not help us. According to Yelp this location is open until 2pm. I gave this location a shot because of good reviews on Priceline, but I will not be back. read more

We had got a great price through my hubby's work and got a rental for a week at a great deal. The location is a little shady and dirty but the cars were fine! We already reserved it online and paid plus pre-paying online with credit card saves you even more! We were helped out in a timely manner and the staff were friendly and helpful. we noticed a stain in car after we rented it we called spoke to the guy who helped us he wrote in the notes so when we returned it we wouldn't be charge for it and he did. I really appreciate it because now i know you can count on these guys to be honest! I love coming to this location. During covid the colton office was closed and I had to return my vehicle so it was either this location or the airport. Seeing as the airport was slightly further from my home I chose to go to Redlands, well that was the best decision ever. Since then I've rented cars from Redlands only. I truly appreciate how nice and accommodating they are. I've never rented a car that I didn't feel was great for the price. I typically go for cars with my brother and every time we walk out smiling whether it's returning the car or renting the car for any reason we've complained. Mark and Kiona has provided excellent customer service for me over a year. I've rented cars at this location over 10 times, and I've never had an issue. The service is efficient, quick, and professional. Kiona always brightens the day with her genuinely pleasant personality. Seems like a busy location, but the wait is very minimal. There are plenty of seats in the building and well ventilated with AC. There is a 7-11 next door which is convenient. The only (somewhat) inconvenience I have is the parking, only because I have a large truck and the spots are very tight. I booked an online register reservation for budget/Avis Rent-A-Car pick up at 12 but when I arrived at 12 they were closed. after calling budget customer service not only was I hung up on but when I called back they told me I should've been there 30 minutes earlier... however, I want not made aware of this during booking or in my email confirmation. Then I was told to pick it up at a different location but I'd have to pay $13 more, and drive a total of 40 miles out of my way. I didn't even realize it for a couple of weeks (I use the iPads for work but didn't need them so I didn't even realize they were missing for so long!) but when I called them up, big surprise, they didn't have them. I booked my car over the phone and Elizabeth helped. I let her know I was 24 years old and that I would be using a debit card. She said that was fine and took my information and my money came out of my account. 3 days later I'm at the desk and being told I can't have my car because it needs to be on a credit card and that they can't help me so I need to call the number to cancel my reservation and rebook it. Diego tried to charge me a cancellation fee but I reminded him I was not the one canceling but Avis was canceling on me. He removed the charge and cancelled my reservation. To rebook, I had to read my credit card number out loud in a public airport which is extremely unsettling. I ended up having to pay more than I originally had and it was ridiculous that no one who works for Avis did anything to make up for the mistake on their end. It used to be that they never had cars and would never upgrade, not anymore, just make sure you have a reservation and feel free to communicate with the staff about your needs. Touching on the subject about waiting for someone to help them...yes there is typically one person working and that person has to clean cars, bring the cars to the front and do all the paper work for your rental - this is how they are able to compete with airport prices. Do not rent cars through AVIS! 1My Son originally obtained a rental agreement for one of their vehicles for DEC 19-JAN 4 from the location in Redlands off of Redlands Boulevard. 2 Because of weather along my route of flight my son was not able to make it to his destination before the rental location closed. A relative called the location, and informed them that he would not be able to pick up the vehicle as agreed. The individual said that the price would not change and if anything would go down for using the vehicle one day less. 3 When my Son arrived at the pickup location he was informed that he would not pay less, but would now pay 100 dollars more as the rates changed overnight. After two hours of phone calls he received no assistance from AVIS. When he went to turn in the car he was then informed that the AVIS certificate for 100 dollars was not redeemable. Apparently that was supposed to be redeemed when he first picked up the car, even though he discussed this issue with the associate at the Redlands AVIS location, and he never said that the certificate had to be redeemed when the car was picked up. Overall the worst service he has ever received from a company period. read more

The car I rented did not have a working AC power/cigarette lighter in front and the front passenger seat wouldn't go forward or backward. We discovered this when we were well down the road and didn't have the time to try and change cars. When I went to return the car I arrived at 8:30 a.m., well after the posted opening time of 8:00 a.m., but the office was closed. The manager finally showed up about 8:50. After all that, I was told I couldn't be compensated for my crappy experience because I had prepaid the rental. This will be my last time renting here. read more
