I recently rented a car from Avis at the Cypress location. I was greeted and assisted by a wonderful charming young man named "Yash". He was incredibly helpful and recommended a Nissan Altima to me. Not only was the car a pleasure to drive, it offered excellent gas mileage as well. I would highly recommend this company and their outstanding customer service skills. read more

They lost one more long time customer. Had to stop renting from here after awful service. Very unprofessional and rude people. If you want clean rental car from inside and outside, go somewhere else. read more

I'm only giving 3 starts. Because the fast week was easy renting. My car was in a shop so I did an extra week. Got the deal through Costco! Great deal! So anyway after I had to re rent the car for a week I got the car and drove home to find out my cars was in fact ready!!! So the next morning I was first one there and ask if I can change my rental and just do the day rate. Was told no!! Or I could turn in the car early but still pay for the week! Really!!!! Didn't even try! So I went to work and called Avis CS and they said yes you can do that! WTF! So now I have to go back and do the exchange again! Took more time off to go and return the car! A huge hassle for me! The young lady was in the office and so were 2 others. I start to say what I was doing and she never even looked up. I did tell the man at the counter I was there at 8 am and she didn't help me. Nothing ever said! Terrible customer service!!! Will not go again and we rent a lot read more

Stephanie is amazing! Very thorough with the car rental information, never left us doubting the process. She is patient and very professional. We rented a car for 1 week to go to Vegas and now we are renting another car just because of her superb customer service. Thanks Stephanie! read more

Originally, we called the number on-line and reserved a car for that day through their corporate number. But when we got to the shop they did not have the vehicle they told us over the phone. Luckily, they had something better and the guy their was helpful and was able to help us get into another car for the day. It all ended up working out and the Anaheim shop was able to get us an even better car for a small increase in price. (which in my opinion, they should have honored the original price) But they worked with us on the drop off time and extended our rental, so I felt like that was fair. The Anaheim office did their part, but corporate needs update their systems and/or work with the individual offices more closely. read more

If i could give zero stars I would. What's the point of a reservation if the car is not waiting? I came in and the company didn't have any cars period! People are waiting in the lobby. If this is how they do business, how are they in business? Unprepared. Dissatisfied and disappointed. read more

Will not rent from here again. I live in Cypress and wanted to support a local business. Worst experience I ever had in renting a car. I had reserved a Dodge Caravan for the christmas holiday through Costco travel. We arrived at a little after 9:00 AM to pick up the van. They said they rented out my van since I was supposed to have arrived at 8:00. They did not even give me a courtesy call. I asked them if they had any vans and they said no. I was forced to take a Ford flex. When i got out to drive away on the Ford, I noticed a Dodge Caravan in their parking lot. Then i saw that they were renting the Dodge to another customer. I could see through the window that they were waiting for me to leave before they rent to the new customer. I decided to wait. They hung around for atleast 30 minutes and once they knew i was not leaving, they decided to walk out to the van. After the new customers had driven off with the Caravan i asked the Avis Manager (Mr. Tony Callahan) about this incident and he just was plain rude. He lectured me on car rentals and made it sound like all of this was my fault. No apologies, but instead he said why i dont i cancel the current reservation. In short my review is: 1. Very unprofessional 2. Openly lies to the customer 3. When i asked one of the Avis associates at the counter about this incident, he said he has no clue what Mr. Callahan was doing. My take on this is that since vans are in big demand, they decided to rent my van to a newer customer who was probably paying more. I had reserved mine through Costco several weeks back and hence they were not making as much profit as through some newer customer. I will be filing a formal complaint with Costco travel and Avis about this really unacceptable behavior and service from this Avis agency in Cypress, CA. read more

I needed a rental car for a week so I decided to try out this place. I'm glad I did! Yash, who was behind the counter greeted me and was welcoming. The experience was quick, easy and location/times were convenient. While other rental places are closed on Sundays, this place was open! He had me in and out of the shop in about 15 minutes. He also gave me a free rental upgrade from a compact to a midsize car which was awesome! If you need a car rental, don't hesitate to go here! Excellent customer service! read more

This is my first time renting a car from Avis. Yash was very nice and very helpful. He made the process of renting a car easy even when I had to extend the rental 3 times. I recommend renting a car from here. read more

This is a best rental place you can get anywhere. Yash was very helpful for getting a car we wanted with very cheap price. I rented a SUV for a 10 days and he gave me new Jeep's Grand Cherokee. We were so happy that we went to this place and rented a car. read more

I wish Yelp has a ZERO rating. It was a horrible experience with Avis . It ruined my vacation

Simply an embarrassing piece of garbage establishment. I never write reviews but need to in order to protect myself in case this comes up later. I check in and the teenage girl hands me the keys to a Ford Focus and says it's the only car they have. There are scratches all over the car, bugs splattered all over the grill, and it looks like a 2 y/o tried to paint over the major scratch on the bumper. I record all of this for my own due diligence. As I hop in, the gas tank says 3 miles until empty. She says to please return it with the same gas amount. Wow. I go to the first gas station I see. After I gas up of course the check engine light pops on and it says I'm low on oil. I go back to Avis and the girl says "it happens all the time, we just changed the oil, trust me". I ask to see a manager, she says they're gone for the day. I tell her I need her to sign and date the pink slip reporting that she is aware of this. She does so begrudgingly. I start the car feeling slightly better and the low wiper fluid lights up. I leave for my destination and check the dipstick a few minutes later. It showed a little over the first hole. This place is the cheapest establishment for a reason. read more

Fantastic customer service. Bent over backwards to help us. We were in a hurry because we had to pack for a trip we were leaving on the next day and they got us in and out in no time......with a smile. Oh yea, great prices as well. read more

satisfied with staff at location...however, the person who kept harrassing me to return the car on time ended up charging a fee of 2400.00 stating he had to go REPO the car when in reality, he was upset because he kept calling AND texting me aftet I had returned the car and even had the nerve to ask me to "meet up" with him...needless to say, I told him off...plus I have some of the tx messages showing hw still was trying to reach out to me the morning after the car was returned...my bank account is overdrawn 2200.00 and by the reviews I've read, it looks like it's not going to get better anytime soon...and yes, I am going to see an attorney in the morning read more

I will never rent from here again. Kal is actually a great guy and very helpful. Unfortunately I got the manager Tony. His level of unprofessionalism and discourtesy is astounding to me. Without making this a four page review the bottom line was Tony couldn't be bothered to call and tell me there was an issue that could end up costing me a considerable amount of money. By the time I made it in to the rental agency it was too late. Kal did attempt very hard to rectify the situation. Unfortunately Avis doesn't care too much that their own employees can't even get through to anyone that could help the situation. So a four day rental ended up costing me over $325. Maybe when Tony moves on and they move Kal up this will be a much better place. You can tell he genuinely cares. Unfortunately Tony is in charge and he can't be bothered. I would never rent from this location or Avis for that matter, ever again. read more

I really want to rate this at 0 stars.....Called Saturday to hold a car and it was given away, asked to reserve for Sunday and yet again the car was given away. Finally got a car 10 min before closing that was just returned and it was filthy. Was told to take it as is or go wash it myself but they would cover it. So not only did I have to wait 2 days to get a car, I had to clean it myself. It was also in horrible shape and was in an accident. The customer service people are rude and not helpful at all. When I finally returned the car they told me I was late and then she remembered that I was not she just filled out the paper work wrong, but not after the rude phone call I received asking "why I did not return the car" Finally when I did return it she couldn't get the discounts correct or want ever she was doing and said "well this is as close as I can get it" which was more than the original. I was tired of dealing with them by this point and started emailing corporate and they are just as bad. They flat out said they are siding with the employees and will not be doing anything to better my experience. If you need a rental go somewhere else.......... read more
