The staff have always been friendly and informative. We have rented cars there many times and always with no issues.

I have been renting with this Avis location for last few years whenever I am in town. I have rented both for leisure and business, and rented for a day to a couple of weeks. Only once has my car not been ready when I got there, and even then I simply had to wait a few mins. Considering other neighborhood locations, this is actually a terrific record. I'm usually in and out within 10-15 mins. Something I prefer about Avis cars is that the car rental company's name is not plastered everywhere inside the vehicle like Hertz or Enterprise. And Avis has good, newer cars in stock at decent prices, especially when you use your Costco discount. Furthermore, the service I have received here has always been great! I can't say enough about Alex and Harry, both those guys will go to great lengths to ensure that you're happy. If there has ever been an issue or a recall, Alex has called me personally to my contact phone to let me know. Plus, even though they are a neighborhood location with limited selection, he will work with you to make sure you get the car that you're happy with. Arrived Burbank airport. Reserved here to avoid $37/day airport fees. When I arrived to pick up my Buick rez they didn't have it and instead offered a micro Hyundai or smallest Infiniti SUV - both dirty - the only two cars on the lot. It would have been laughable had I not had to demand a reduced rate. Young man at the counter tried to give me their national reservation number to resolve the issue. Sure. When I returned the SUV the next morning they weren't open and don't have any way to drop a car AH. Airport return was a run-around with them sending me to two closed kiosks in the garage. Counter rep didn't give a $h1t about the problems. Never again. read more

I have used budget/avis a this location in the past. The weekend of July 4th, I went to rent a car. The gentlemen was nice enough to upgrade to a jeep. This past weekend, i was informed by my mechanic that the cylinders to my care were bad and the cost was going to be $1,800 to repair. My mechanic, Bryon was nice enough to drive me from Glendale to Burbank to rent a car. I approached the desk at Budget. There were two gentlemen at the counter. They seemed very confused. I told them I wanted to go through budget as I have had good experience with the former emp. The gentleman (indian guy) told me they were the same company. He seemed very rushed I told him to put me in the most economical car since I need it for a week and the fact that I had to dish out $1,800 for repairs to my car. I was already distressed with the bad news of my vehicle. He ended up giving me a rental at 37.52 a day and making me sign for insurance after I thought I had declined it. I ended up keeping the car a few days more because now my radiator was leaking and the car need it breaks. During the time I had the car, i had to transport my dog somewhere. I made sure to lay down a blanket as I do in my own car. I am sure there was a few dog hairs flying that got on the seat. BTW, the dog is short hair so i can't imagine how much dog hair she would release. I took the car back yesterday at around 4pm. The same guy who had somewhat of a language barrier and could hardly understand him told me my total was $650.00. I was appalled and looked at the contract not realizing it was going to be that much. He confirmed that i initialed for the car and the insurance even after i thought I was getting a cheaper rate. He asked me if I had AAA, which i told him i did, but did not bother to ask me for my AAA card. Anyone could say they have AAA. To make matters worse, The same guy called me and left me a voicemail message telling me that after lifting both seats up because they were flat (btw it was only one seat that was down) he noticed dog hair. He said he was taking pictures because they don't accept car with dog hair. He told me that If i did not call him back he was going to take the car to get detailed and charge my card. Now i have to pay for a detail on the car when it could be easily vacuumed. This was very upsetting after i paid over $600.00 to rent a car that the A/C did not even work that well. He was very rude to me. I never even got a bill from him. I had to call Corporate for it. I plan to dispute this issue and never go back there again. VERY UPSET read more

I wouldn't reserve a car with this company, Budget, or Kayak ever again. Reserved from Kayak.com without any mention of mileage, just a total charge without "estimated." We went to pick up the car from this location, but they had it in Glendale. The guy was being nice and had someone drive us there, but when we picked it up at Glendale it was stinky, the mileage was different on the car then on the agreement, and when I asked to be reimbursed for mileage from Glendale to here, Harry said we had unlimited mileage! It wasn't right either because they didn't have me fill out the damage diagram or check anything else.Thh guy in Gledale did change the mileage (+$3) to the correct amount without questions, and there was no consistency with what I was being told. Sure we were late, but we were charged for the day anyway and we didn't get the van we asked for. The car stank, it was huge, the gas was to the "F" for full but not a full tank (-$12), and they knew we were going to San Jose, but never mentioned that we were going to be charged for mileage. (-$62) I would've gotten a Uhaul instead. The receipt is very vague and I would've been fine if they were open and honest about the mileage, but the fact that Harry just brushed me off by saying that we had unlimited mileage is what deserved one star.. less. Called Harry today, but only his assistant answered. First, answered and said Harry will be in 30 minutes and we should read the confirmation, which could only be seen by going to the website. Not in email or receipt of signing. Second time, I got transferred to corporate before talking with anyone. Third, put on hold to someone to say hello and be put on hold again. Fourth time, no Harry, but call corporate. No luck with corporate. read more

I needed a car last minute to travel to Las Vegas for my son's basketball tournament. The only place I could find that was inexpensive or not sold out was this location. I made a reservation online and called Avis to enquire about where I could park my car until I returned theirs. Alex offered me their lot and I could also leave my keys incase they needed to move my car. He also shared with me that I could park on the street as long as I obeyed the signs about street sweeping days. I was blown away about how professional, friendly and knowledge he was when I went in. Since I was driving out of state, he offered me 3 cars to choose from. We discussed my upcoming trip and he recommended the one I eventually chose based on my preferences and needs. THAT'S WHAT I CALL SUPERIOR AND EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Returning the car at the end of the rental was a breeze. He even remembered me. Boy, was I impressed! I have rented many autos from this small franchise over many years: As part of my work nearby and for pleasure. I kept coming back because they always came through for me.. I am now retired and needed a car for a trip to Scottsdale. I went in a week ahead of time to reserve a compact car for my trip. The manager, who I have dealt with many times said that a Ford Focus or similar compact car would await me when I next arrived. What awaited me was a Hyundi Accent, a SUB compact. THE most uncomfortable and underequipped car I have ever driven. I was surprised it had power windows. The interior was filthy with stained upholstery. I cleaned the windows prior to my trip. When I returned this gem, the agent told me the Accent was a compact. I then produced the Avis web page print that showed it was a subcompact and he reluctantly credited me accordingly. Bait-and-switch. Bad experience! Done with this place. UPDATE: To be fair, I returned several days later and spoke to the manager about the above experience. He was very apologetic and offered to do whatever to make things right. Damage done. Done with Avis read more

I was referred to enterprise by my insurance to pick up a car which they were offering me a Corolla $30/day for two weeks rental. I asked them if they can get me a better car within this price which they refused with an attitude. So I drove off to find another company, who will appreciate my business. There I found Avis with a smiley rep greeted me from the counter & introduced himself as Rafael. I told him my concern to see if he can get me a better car. In reply he appreciated me for giving him an opportunity & he really showed that appreciation in his work. He took me out to choose a car from his lot & took his time to show me their features. I liked the Black Grand Cherokee limited & asked him the price with fear as I know its an expensive car. He understood, took me back to the office & assured me he will do his best to get the car I want to drive. He started typing behind the desk to pull a good rate for me, other hand I was crossing my fingers to get a rate that I can afford. Rafael was willing to help me out from the beginning, this time he went above & beyond to earn my business. He gave me the car I wanted with a rate that I have happily accepted.. I was really impressed by Rafael's pleasant behaviour & willingness to help customers, which is rare to find now a days. read more
