Extremely disappointed and angry with Austin INFINITI…read more This has been one of the most frustrating car-buying experiences I have ever witnessed. We went to Austin INFINITI to purchase a used 2025 Kia K4 from Ms. Ladermann. This was supposed to be my niece's first car purchase after joining the military four months ago. She was already approved through her credit union, had everything arranged, and was ready to take possession of the vehicle. Ms. Ladermann specifically told her to pick up the car today. So what did my niece do? She purchased insurance for the vehicle and made arrangements based on what the dealership told her. Then, suddenly, Austin INFINITI tells her there is a problem with the title and they cannot sell her the car. Seriously? How does a dealership tell a customer to come pick up a vehicle before making sure the title is actually in order and the vehicle can legally be sold? If there was a title problem, that should have been discovered before my niece was approved, before she purchased insurance, and certainly before she was told to come pick up the vehicle. This wasn't just an inconvenience. It was a complete waste of her time and money and an absolutely unacceptable way to treat a young military member making her first vehicle purchase. I understand that problems can happen. What I don't understand is the incompetence and lack of communication that allowed this situation to happen in the first place. Austin INFINITI needs to do better. Customers should not have to find out at the last minute that a vehicle they've been told is ready for pickup apparently can't even be sold. Very disappointing experience. I would think twice before purchasing a vehicle from this dealership.

Luckily, we saw Leo as we were ready to check out and I promise I'll never forget again - his work ethic is off the charts and his customer service is worth going to to this location.

Would give zero stars if that was an option…read more The used car side of this dealership is as shady as the day is long. A month ago, we visited to inspect a Corolla that was advertised on their website as in excellent condition. However, upon closer inspection, we discovered that the photos on the website had been manipulated to hide the fact that the roof paint was mostly missing and the bumper was severely damaged. Last weekend, we returned to look at another Corolla, made a deal, and paid for the car. Throughout the transaction, our salesperson, Kemy, kept contradicting himself about certain details and making commitments about the car's repairs. He repeatedly promised to provide us with a copy of the "we owe" items that would be fixed before the vehicle was delivered on Monday, but he never did. There were some marks on the roof paint that Kemy claimed he had shown to the service team, who assured him that "it was just gunk that would be buffed out." I also pointed out some tire damage and he stated that the "tires would be replaced." I'm using quotes here because I was taking notes as he was explaining these details to us. On Monday, when the car was scheduled for delivery after service and detailing, I attempted to get an ETA several times, but Kemy didn't call me back until after 6pm. He informed me that a part for the recall was not in stock and had to be ordered. He said that the part would be delivered on Wednesday and the car would be detailed and delivered then. Since I wasn't available to take delivery on Wednesday, I requested delivery on Thursday and was assured that it would happen. Kemy called me at 9:30am on Thursday, claiming he was taking the car out of service and to detailing, and that it would be ready for delivery within a couple of hours. This was unusual because he had previously informed me that the car would be out of service on Wednesday and ready for delivery. I texted him about the replacement tires, but I didn't receive an immediate response. Last night at 6:30pm, he called me again, repeating his earlier statement that he was taking the car from service to detailing. He also mentioned that two bad tires had been replaced. He assured me that my car would be delivered last night. Meanwhile, I received a voicemail from an unknown number. It was clearly a butt dial of two men, one of whom I recognized as Kemy. They were discussing finding a replacement vehicle. I'm still unsure if they were talking about my car and haven't received an explanation for why this other salesperson named Chris had my number in his phone and accidentally called me. Half an hour later, Kemy called again from his cell phone, but it wasn't him. It was his sales director, Kevin, calling on Kemy's phone. Kevin asked me for an explanation of the situation and I provided him with a detailed account of everything that had transpired up to that point. Kevin apologized for Kemy's lack of communication and explained that the car was not ready for delivery. He gave me his cell phone number and informed me that the car would be taken to detailing at 9am today when they opened and delivered to me immediately afterward. He promised to call me at 10am today with an update. No call at 10, so I called him at 10:30. He said that the car was still in the service department getting some filters replaced and not in detailing, as he had promised me last night. Kevin assured me that the car would be delivered by the end of business today. Kevin and I discussed the "we owe" items after we bought the car last Saturday. I had requested copies of the document from Kemy multiple times throughout the week, but we weren't provided with a copy at the dealership. I kept a list of the items on my notes app as we discussed them with Kemy, and Kevin asked for a screenshot, which I provided. Kevin informed me that we weren't promised hubcaps and that only one tire had been replaced. He also claimed that the paint anomalies on the roof were scratches through the clearcoat and that they couldn't do anything about them. These were all blatant lies from Kemy. At that point, I demanded a complete refund and will be taking my business elsewhere. Earlier today, I left a voicemail for the general manager, Steve Riddick, but I haven't heard back from him.

I looked for months for a new (used)…read morevehicle, purchased many carfax reports, researched and test drove, spoke with many sales individuals, and sacrificed many hours to the negotiation waiting games with the sales managers. During one of my daily searches on Auto Trader a new listing popped up for Mark Weinstein Motors. It was a "unicorn" vehicle - rare in existence - an older model, incredibly low mileage, in fantastic shape (barely driven) and the listed price was in the KBB green price range (either good or great price for the vehicle's value). I reached out to Mark, who was quick to answer any and all my questions. I was in Houston and I couldn't make the trip to Austin to see the vehicle until the weekend, but he graciously agreed to hold the vehicle for me without any downpayment once I had set an appointment for a third party inspection. Despite receiving other inquiries about the vehicle, he held it for me for almost a week and even stayed a little late on Friday for my husband's and my arrival into town. The test drive and purchase process were smooth and straightforward. Mark explained everything thoroughly and even went the extra step of fixing the temporary paper license plate on top of an old metal plate to make it more secure. It's another example of Mark's great customer service. Like his great communication from start to finish - phone calls and text messages were always answered promptly. He is good-natured and honest, which is hard to find in the car shopping business. I would recommend him to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle!

After 10 years and 107K with my little Mazda2 (purchased at a different local dealership), it was…read morefinally time for an upgrade! I did my price/condition research via CarFax, Kelley Blue Book, and JDPower online, then made an appt to test-drive a used 2021 Mazda3 (45K miles) at Roger Beasley Central. (Before making the appt, I specifically asked a store rep online if the price were open to negotiation, since my research w' Kelley showed an average listing at thousands less than Beasley was asking. The online rep said yes.) THE GOOD PART: Once at the store, Sky was a pleasant and knowledgeable salesperson. She patiently answered all my questions (esp since I'd never driven a keyless car with apps before!) and went with me on my test drive. So far, so good... THE BAD PART: Once I'd driven the car, a "numbers guy"---I think his name was "Willie" but I'm not positive (heavy-set w' beard/cap)---came over with a couple of printouts with figures, offering me not a penny less than the initial $19.5K asking price! As mentioned, I'd already done a ton of research online, showing the "Typical Listing" price for this make/model/mileage at $17.7K, the Kelley "Fair Purchase Price" at $16.1K, and the JDPower price at $18.1K. "Willie" brushed off all of my figures, saying I must not have entered the correct mileage for the Kelley quote (which I did), and that Beasley "did not use" JDPower numbers. (Just because you don't "use" them doesn't mean JDPower doesn't have reputable numbers!) I didn't expect to get the low-end price of $16.1K, but I certainly DID expect a bit of negotiation that ended up closer to the $17.7-18.1K numbers. Especially since I was offering to pay for the entire car up-front! I've negotiated for used cars several times in past decades, and I know that the dealership always initially marks up the price and that the later agreed-upon price usually falls within the range shown by Kelley and others. But this guy offered NOTHING. He also told me that Roger Beasley had 4 dealerships in town and that I was not going to find another similar Mazda3 with them at a better price than $19.5K, since all the prices were linked---insinuating that if I really wanted a Mazda3, I'd have to deal with Roger Beasley! At this point, I informed him that PoleStar just down the street on Burnet currently has a similar Mazda3, as do other Mazda dealerships in Buda, San Antonio, etc., as do other smaller dealerships within Austin. He basically shrugged, and I left. Just curious: Did he think I was ignorant about car prices since I'm a middle-aged woman?! I find it hard to believe that he would not have negotiated the price with a man, and taken him more seriously. Needless to say, I won't be coming here again.

I used to have a lot of trust in First Texas Honda, but my most recent service experience was very…read moredisappointing. My 2018 Honda Accord was diagnosed with a failed turbocharger, and service advisor Aidan Carlson told me that even with my warranty coverage, I would still owe nearly $800 out of pocket. What concerned me was that he began discussing potential out-of-pocket costs before the warranty company had fully reviewed the claim and repeatedly stated that the warranty would only cover the turbo repair. When I contacted the warranty company directly, I learned that additional charges had not been properly itemized and that labor costs exceeded what the warranty company was willing to pay. After I asked Aidan to provide more detailed information to the warranty company, the claim was re-evaluated and approved. Miraculously, my estimated out-of-pocket cost dropped from nearly $800 to $0. The most frustrating part was feeling like I had to do my own research and advocate for myself to get an accurate answer. Had I simply accepted what I was originally told, I likely would have paid hundreds of dollars unnecessarily. Whether this was poor communication, lack of attention to detail, or something else, it left me questioning the transparency of the process. I appreciate that the repair was ultimately covered, but this experience significantly damaged my trust in First Texas Honda's service department.
