During the last week of October 2025, I had to drop my car at Caliber Collision on N. Lamar for some body work. I booked my rental reservation using the number I thought was for the Enterprise that had a shuttle with that location but the day before I was to pick it up I got a call (on a Sunday) saying that location did not have a shuttle or transport to that body shop location. I then had the right direct line because of the email confirmation and called the location. They transferred me to this location to move the reservation that same day but this location also didn't have a shuttle service BUT Nick Knight was very helpful and said they would do me a solid and make sure someone could pick me up so I didn't have to be routed to yet another location! Even though they were short staffed that day (a few folks had called in sick), they picked me up, got me a good comparable car, set up me up with a decent rate, and when I returned it made sure the rate was adjusted to 4 days vs. the 5 days the system was quoting me. And one of their employees who didn't technically work at that location but was there for some admin because he helps with their luxury rental line, took me back to Caliber to pick up my car since they were short staffed. I really appreciated them trying to make things easier for me despite the challenges they were facing and everyone did it with a cool and easy attitude! We rented a large 12 person van. It was easy to reserve and pay for. The staff were helpful and super friendly. We used the van for one day. No issues. We didn't get extra insurance for 30$. We had no issues. They have drop box and it's easy to return outside of business hours. We will use them again! read more

This summer I needed to rent a car to travel to and from Atlanta. When I first walked into the Enterprise, it was packed. Maybe 10-12 customers. Despite the hubbub the staff was very calm and processed each order very professionally and very quickly. Soon thereafter I was in my rental, on my way home. Before I got home I noticed the car wasn't as clean as it should have been. Normally I wouldn't make a fuss about something like this but I was about to set out on a 13hr road trip. I chalked it up to the rush in the store that I witnessed. When I returned I explained to the manager, Malik(sp?), who was incredibly understanding, apologized and said his crew was a little backed up, and put in a ride even better than the first. The whole interaction was perfect and it made me feel heard and valued as a customer. Fast forward to the end of the summer. The enterprise I picked up my next car was not nearly as organized as the one in Austin. When I returned the vehicle in Austin, I was going to get charged a fee for dropping off the car in a different state. Apparently, the enterprise in Atlanta processed my rental incorrectly. EDITED TO RESPOND TO THE OWNER - SEE BELOW. Michelle, please respond to me with helpful comments vs responding to my reviews on all the platforms telling me to take steps we've already taken. Thanks in advance. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION. My husband was in an accident (that was not his fault) and our insurance company made a reservation for him at this location. He picked up the car and realized it was shaking when driving on the highway. He returned requesting to have the car swapped out in fear of a safety issue. The rep he was working with asked the manager on duty if he could upgrade him to a car that was available. The manager told the rep (in front of my husband) that they had plenty of sedans that were not clean. Instead of upgrading him and working with the insurance company, they made him wait 30 minutes for a car to be cleaned. Upon receiving the car, it was still filthy on the inside. He got in an accident same day, wasted 1.5 hours of his time driving back, waiting for the car to be cleaned, and driving home only to have a nasty car with 1/4 tank of gas. ATROCIOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE BY THE MANAGER and the fact they made him wait for 30 minutes to receive a car that looks like it was barely touched during cleaning. This manager should be held accountable. Show a little compassion. RENT ANYWHERE ELSE. This location is absolute trash. EDIT TO RESPOND TO THE OWNER (which I already did on Google and the same person just commented here): We've already contacted enterprise customer service via phone. They let us know that there's nothing they can do to help us. When we requested to speak to a supervisor he let us know there were none available. We requested when we could expect a call-back and he informed us he didn't know. What next steps do you recommend? The customer service as a whole has been absolutely horrible and down right pathetic. Also would like to add the car that he received as a replacement is out of balance, shakes on the highway, and the tires are low. I made an online reservation in the morning, scheduling pickup in early afternoon the same day. I received confirmation email when booked. Showed up at this location at the designated tiome to pick up the car and they said they were out of vehicles, and that the online system shouldn't have booked it. They also said they called people in this case to inform them. They did not call me. Worst experience ever. if I could give it negative stars I would. I have used this location several times and today was the last. I used my debit card everytime and I tried to rent a one way and was told they can't with a debit card because it's one way. So I changed my reservation to actually rent and return the vehicle because all I had was a debit card. They wouldn't rent to me and said because I already have a reservation for one way. I told them to just change it and they said they couldn't. So I said make a new one. They wouldn't do that. They said they wouldn't do it because now there's a "chance" I don't bring it back. Well, to begin with, the Cadillac (FLA-C1BZ17) that my family rented was dirty on the inside, found out that it did not have any window washing fluid and the rear-view mirror on the passenger side didn't work popularly. Made a reservation 2 days ago on the 18th, to pickup tomorrow the 21st. Today April 20th at 1:46 PM I received a call. I was out with my family not expecting a call from them because of course, I made the reservation TWO whole days ago. I check my phone about 20 mins later and have a voicemail from an employee named "Chloe" telling me that they are not able to honor my reservation. Less than 24 hours before pickup. Not to mention she called 45 minutes AFTER closing? So when I called back 30 mins later no response of course. What an absolute joke lol. What the hell were yall doing for 2 days to not realize you couldn't honor the request. If I was notified yesterday it would've made it to easier. Except you're terrible at your jobs and notified 2 days after and at 2 pm on a Saturday when everywhere else is closed. Thanks Chloe! So, we made this our "home" Enterprise after inconsistent service with the Downtown branch (at both its old W. 5th and new Colorado locations). We've been mainly quite happy, but as with all services, what you think will depend on what you want. The shop is on several bus lines near our apartment, so the complaints about slow pickup that surface in a few reviews are something that I've never dealt with, and I've always been given a prompt and friendly ride home when dropping off a return. Counter service has always been remarkably friendly, although we seem to run into technical confusions more often than we should (e.g. being quoted one reservation price online and then given a slightly higher one at pickup; having to explain for the 50th time--despite that this should be in the file by now--that we're married and [gasp] have different last names). But it always works out in the end, vehicle shortages (which occur, as they do with all rental companies) tend to work out in our favor as free upgrades, and, gosh darn it, they're really nice. Did I already say that? Because they are. They give you water and rides and ask questions even when they're really busy and maybe don't want to, but it doesn't seem like the behaviors of people in terror of corporate mandates. Legalized scammers. They people are professional scammers. Not only do they not care to ever answer the phone they also don't care to help out any customers unless you say HEY HELP ME! I was in a car crash and got a rental car from my insurance and they told me to go here. At first they said I don't see your reservation after I said I have it here. They said it will be 29 dollars a day because the car insurance covers is for someone else so I had to get a car paying 29 dollars a day and immediately charged me 300 and I asked why they said it is the starting fee if you return before next week we will refund you. After 3 weeks 300 starting fee 600 for then two weeks and then charged another 342 dollars for closing. There should be no fucking closing fee. My dad paid for it and called me because they won't answer the phone my dad was rightfully angry then after enterprise spewing BS. The "employee" said I don know why your dad is angry? Then I said, are you an idiot I think you would be mad if you got scammed out of $1000 and plus bullshit fees my dad was in the complete right you try getting scammed out of $1000 plus bullshit fees. I will never use enterprise till the day I die. Employees and manager, are drunk, cocked out losers. I hope this place burns to the ground. Do yourselves a favor and don't go to any enterprise. This location and its staff are garbage. They will lie and cheat you. I returned a rental I had while my car was being repaired. Dropping off, a kid came out and walked the truck with me. We circled the truck, inspected everything, he took the mileage and told me he's going to let the office know that all is good and he's going to take me to pick up my car 5min down the street. When he took me to my car, he was nice enough to pull close to it in the parking lot so I could transfer my stuff over. The repairs took a few weeks, so I had a lot to move and then reorganize. After I moved my stuff over he drove off and I sat for about 15-20min reorganizing my car. I realized I hadn't gotten a receipt from Enterprise, so I drove back to get one. When I got there I had to wait about 10min for someone to free up. A guy at the desk then said he hadn't closed out the ticket yet, but that he could take a photo of his screen with my phone for immediate documentation... that should have been my red flag, but I wasn't being skeptical and paranoid, so I went with it. As I was walking out I see the red truck pull in. It's been 30-45 min since dropping me off, but what's it to me? Truck's inspected, checked in, and I've got my car now. However! I get a call two hours later asking if I had hit anything while driving the rental. I said, "no, of course not. Y'all inspected the truck with me before checking it in and taking me to my car. All was fine". The guy (Justin) tells me that the kid who inspected it just took it out back to wash it and happened to notice "substantial damage" to the rear bumper after washing it off and that I need to provide my insurance info for their claim. I was like WHAT?! Are you kidding me?! Not a bump or a ding, but substantial damage and it wasn't seen until the truck was hosed off in back? BS! He then said I was the only person to drive this truck and since he hasn't closed the ticket out, it's my fault. I told him that kid had been driving the truck around for nearly 45min after dropping me off. And coincidentally he didn't see any damage while inspecting, he drove it for a while after dropping me off, and he, being the same kid, just happened to find "substantial" damage to the bumper after hosing it off? No way! How is that not a red flag for them?! I was then, so politely, told by Justin that it doesn't matter. It's my fault. They'll get my insurance info and they will win a claim, period. Then he hung up. What a stellar employee and to my amazement he was fully supported by management at this location. They even tried to tell me I owed for filling up gas until I showed them a pic of the odometer mileage and an empty tank that I was given when I picked up. Luckily I took that pic! They are crooks. They will lie to get you in and out. Their employees, such as Justin, are half-a** trained and feel protected behind the phone and computers. Unreal experience and I will do all I can to deter anyone else from trusting this location. If you absolutely have to, make sure to take pictures and video your drop off. Otherwise, be prepared for their Farris Bueller joyride at your expense. read more

My 25 year old son had his truck and all ID stolen last night. Liberty Mutual guaranteed a rental thru Enterprise. My son had a copy of his license on his phone and I was willing to pay the $50 deposit with my card. ( over the phone since I'm 3 hours away) . They refused. So my son got a temporary DL from DMV and a temporary debit card. Thomas still refused to rent to him. I offered to email my info and pay in full with my debit card and DL. Thomas refused. Said that we could drive 300 miles and rent the cars ourselves. I hung up and called Avis and rented with no problem and will be reimbursed by my insurance. Won't use them ever again. read more

I used this Enterprise location due to a recent car crash. As soon as they saw the student ID in my wallet, they know they had a mark (they were right, it was my first independent auto rental experience). They led me to believe I needed to pay for their $20/day insurance plan out of pocket, as my car insurance wouldn't cover the damages theirs would for rental vehicles.* I, being a total sucker, took them a their word, when they were misleading me on all accounts. (A) my own insurance, along with most car insurances, covers all damages their sham insurance plan covers, (B) the coverage was actually $25/day before tax, and (C) they charged me for three days, despite me having the car for only 48 hours. At least they were nice while they ripped me off. Hope your $82 was worth losing a customer for life. *Not sure if those EXACT words were used, but this was certainly the impression they were hoping to give. After having my car nearly totalled by a driver that ran a red light, my insurance company directed me to this location. When I picked up the rental, I clearly (verbally) declined the additional "basic protection plan" since it was going to be an extended repair - over three months. However, I received a call today (2/2/17) that I owed $1,500 - just for the plan - that I explicitly declined - adding insult to injury to a collision that wasn't even my fault. When I talked to Justin (the manager) he repeatedly showed me a note in the margins of the contract (not written by me) stating I "requested" coverage. He offered a slight reduction in the total, which would still leave me with an $1,100 out-of-pocket charge for a product I never intended to purchase. I am refuting the bill, both with the company and via my credit card. I urge anyone considering doing business at this location to avoid it at all costs. This deceptive and duplicitous practices have seriously impacted my family. read more

This was the location recommended to me when I needed to have my car repaired not far down the road. Both times insurance was involved and checking in and getting a car checked out was easy. The first time I had a Mazda6 and the second a (pre-recall) Prius. Like most sales positions, they will pester you to get extra insurance, I did once for the first day and then canceled it afterwards. I was young and didn't know any better, but really if you have decent insurance (more than the minimum), rental cars are usually covered so don't get jipped. Don't call me sexist, but I preferred the women working there; they were completely honest about the insurance (absolutely not necessary) and didn't push me after I said no once. read more

I am shocked and appalled at what happened to us at this terrible, terrible place. It should be simple. We call ahead and reserve a car. We show up when we're supposed to and get our car, right? Well, they overbooked and don't have any cars. They tell us to wait half an hour. So we do. We walk across the street and grab lunch. Half an hour later, and still no car. Another half hour, still no car. I ask what's going on, and the salesman tells me I can leave. I don't have to wait. I can walk. Apparently, I am being rude for asking why the car that we pre-reserved for noon is not there at 2 PM. The ONE star is for the manager, who stepped in and apologized for the absurd behavior of his employee. Bobby gave us a free upgrade, one-day free, and waived the fee for bringing it back to the airport instead of their store. read more

I came here to rent a car during my break to Austin, TX, and I noticed a few things. - They have a good selection of cars. However, they may not have the type of car you want. I wanted the cheapest option a compact car, but unfortunately, they ran out, so I had to get a full-sized car for a few dollars more. If you want a specific car, make sure to reserve a few days ahead. - They will do their hardest to get you to purchase their Enterprise insurance. It adds a lot to the price tag, so if you are on a budget, just use your own. It may be good to get the insurance though if you are an unlucky/reckless driver because it covers 100% of accidents and damage to the vehicle. - If you need to return a car on Sunday, they make you visit another Enterprise dealership open on Sunday. The closest one seems to be on 8310 Research Blvd. - If you want to save money, reserve a car through their website. My friend was able to get a $10 per day deal (compared to my $25 per day deal). The only catch was that he could not drive over 300 miles. Mediocre at its best. Do your research, and plan ahead before renting here. read more

Hey, did you know that if your car is totaled that the liable party (in the state of Texas) is not responsible for paying for a rental for you? Because, you know, you're going to have your old car paid for. Um, hey, it, uh, doesn't happen that fast. Anyways, this is neither here nor there, and has zip to do with Enterprise. My experience was good, no one tried any pushy sales techniques on me. The insurance was offered, but I already knew that I'm covered on my own policy and waived theirs. this is not a good rental place - I've been renting from this location only because it is close to where I live. I reserved a compact vehicle two weeks prior only to find that there was no compact vehicle. I received a confirmation email and a reminder email that morning. I instead was offered a Ford Transit minivan - it looked like a party bus - because they had no other vehicles. I don't understand why the company would allow for a reservation if no vehicles are available To the rep's credit, I will say that I was offered the party bus/mini van at the same rate, but I was looking for something fuel efficient. She was surprised that I did not want the vehicle as most people are delighted to have a free upgrade. I didn't think this was a suitable upgrade. I instead attempted to find a rental at other locations last minute. No other locations had a last-minute rental. I found a rental at ABIA at Hertz instead. Hertz now has a new customer. In previous rentals at this location, I am never given a full tank with the vehicle. I do not recommend this location at all. Rent at your own risk. read more

This Enterprise is fine for me. Once I wanted to rent a Prius for the weekend to drive for fun and test but the person writing up my contract tried to upsell me on the protection packages and ended up scaring me off of renting a car because I had images of all the horrible and expensive things that could happen. The second time I rented a Pontiac G6 (because that was one of the least boring-looking "cheap" cars available on a Thursday evening). The car didn't look immaculate inside as my other rental car experiences in other cities have, but it was passable. The employees are generally polite, patient, and as friendly as rental car employees can get. The employee writing up my contract, Jacob, was nice enough to go over some of the commonly-used controls on the car with me. Their prices are comparable to other rental car places. There is no penalty for returning the car early and they only charge you for the days you used the car, which is fair compared to some car rental places out there that charge you extra for early returns. The location is very convenient, being on the east side of North Lamar Blvd. right at the No. 1 bus' Justin Lane stop. There are two driveways in: front one from North Lamar and the back one from Raymond/Cannion St. They also have pickup/dropoff service. There is a Walgreens, two Korean shopping centers, and several Korean restaurants located within walking distance. I took off a star because they're not open on Sundays and the car I had wasn't as clean as $58.99/day rental cars should be. I would still rent from here again. read more

I never thought I'd write a review for a Rent-A-Car company but after my last experience, I felt it was appropriate. I lost my keys and I was put in a position where I'd have to get the vehicle towed and get new keys cut up. Just to let everybody know - "DO NOT LOSE YOUR CAR KEYS" because most car rental companies won't carry a spare. The guys at Enterprise were very understanding of the situation and they gave me time to find my keys. Miraculously, someone else found them and I avoided paying out a lot of $$$. The manager at that location is Ryan and he was great to work with. It's a no brainer really, all I had to do was just be straight forward with him and tell him everything that was going on. I was forced to rent a car one afternoon after my mechanic said there were several updates that my car needed. Charles Maund VW rented the car for me, so I was fine with it. I was just glad I wasn't going to have to sit there for three hours while they did their thing. Anyway, the guy who picked me up from Enterprise was...ummmm...how shall I say this?...very different from me and "West Texas-y White Boy." My husband would just describe him as "dumb as rocks." It made for an interesting ride. When we got out of the car at Enterprise some employees called over to me, "Hey, do people ever tell you you like someone famous?" "I get Claire Daines alot, I replied. We have the same face shape." "Right on! That's her name!" Mind you, I'm eight months pregnant at this time. It made my day. Anyway, so I headed on in with West Texas and the mess began. He was crazy. He clearly didn't know what he was doing with the paperwork and they had to charge a $50 deposit on my card, which I was leery about. After the office mess was over he brought me to my car. We check it over, but when I started to drive off the lot, I noticed that the gas tank was on E instead of 1/4 full. So called the office to tell West Texas and he was already gone. Some other guy said he'd take care of it. Okay... So three hours later, my car is done and I take the rental car back to Enterprise. Another, very competent man took my keys. He was the one I talked to on the phone. Evidently, West Texas spelled my last name wrong (surprise, surprise) and they had trouble finding which paperwork to modify, but they figured it out. He immediately credited my account. And a very bright employee drove me back to CMVW. All in all, it was a pretty good experience. read more

Quick pickup, they upgraded me from Economy (Chevy Spark) to Premium (Chrysler 300) for free (and I didn't even have to ask). I would dock a star for the fact that the car wasn't well washed, but I just don't think it matters in the scheme of things. My second subpar experience although this one was slightly better. Enterprise offers a wonderful value for those who are stranded carless due to dumb rearenders who insist on helping you bring your vehicle to a repair shop. Outside of them being quick with paperwork and into a decent rental (12' Malibu with an expired registration sticker lol thank god I didn't get pulled over) though, the office is split with people people and cat people (the ones who should stay home and pet there cats all day away from people people). On my ride back to Jeff's Auto, my driver almost gets me killed by being impatient and making a terrible left turn into oncoming traffic heading towards me! He also then makes a joke about if I live in my car (because I have two pillows and a couple of baby bibs and a blanket?) before I ultimately leave. Cat people with a white shirt and tie will never amount to people people. Textbook. Anyways, again the experience was ok and for anyone needing a car quick, this office has a nice management staff.
