If I could give zero stars, I would. We have rented from Budget many times, but the experience at the Budget location near Pflugerville, TX over the past two days was the worst we've encountered. The representative we dealt with was rude, condescending, and lacked basic customer service skills. As a frequent renter, I expect at least professionalism and courtesy -- instead, we were met with an attitude and a complete lack of helpfulness. This wasn't just a "bad day" scenario; it was poor salesmanship and a clear disregard for representing the Budget brand in a positive light. We were so turned off by the interaction that we walked out and will never return to this location. Budget Corporate should be aware that this location is doing their brand a major disservice. When returning the car wait and make them process everything. On a recent rental when returning the car there was a line of people and the clerk offered to let me turn over my keys and they would email the receipt to me. They didn't process the return until much later which resulted in a $50+ dollar late fee. When I called to get the late fee removed I was told they would refund the late fee. Two weeks later and there has been no late fee removal from my card. read more

He said he was the owner, so I figured this is how the place is run. He hung up on a customer while he treated me poorly for no reason. I've rented cars countless time and recently & I must conclude he was making up rules or enforcing one's no one does that I've never heard of for why I couldn't, or shouldn't rent Life is hard enough sometimes but if yours isn't, try this place out. He was so abrasive I felt like I needed a shower upon exiting. That I had just escaped an alternate universe of a rude man store. The absolute worst. I reserved a car, paid in full for my reservation on 5/3/21. Nikisha, the owner, called me the next day to let me know they didn't have any cars for a one way trip and I would need to go to the airport for a rental. I was fine with this and asked specifically if there would be any changes to my rate/reservation once I got there. She said no and told me I could use my same reservation and I would be fine. I get to the airport to pick up my car on 5/5/21 and I'm told there will be additional fees due to the location change. I said that I was told there wouldn't be and they referred me to the supervisor to look into it further. While I'm waiting I call the Nikisha back and ask why I wasn't told about this when I specifically asked if there would be any changes. Her response was to call customer service and see if they could handle it. When she told me she was the owner, I asked if she was ok misinforming customers her response was "off that's how you feel, then I'm sorry." As the owner of a business your job is customer service. She's showed zero concern for my inconvenience which was due to her lying. Thankfully the supervisor at the airport was amazing and made up for her trash. Unless you like being lied to about information, avoid this location. read more

I recently had a great experience at Budget Car Rental! After an accident left me without a vehicle, I easily booked a reservation online and scored 30% off as a first time user. Pickup was convenient! This location is a total snooze-Fest, so the one employee was able to help me as there was nothing else happening. The whole shopping center up here is kind of a dead zone, not sure how the big box retailers can survive. I ended up needing to extend my reservation - gentleman at the counter was incredibly helpful. Will use them again in the future. read more

Do NOT rent from this Budget location. They rented us a vehicle with two damaged tires. We drove the vehicle home less than 2 miles from the location and parked it, the next morning one tire was flat, not low, flat, and when we took it to get fixed at firestone they found that the other tire had a giant screw threw it. The tire that was flat was oozing fix a flat out of it when the repair man looked at it. We tried to work with budget to fix the tires because it was more than obvious they rented us a vehicle they knew had damaged tires. They said since we refused road side hazard insurance for $52/week we were responsible to replace the tires. So we bought one new tire and the other tire had been mounted improperly (according to firestone not me) so we had to repaired properly. Firestone tried to call budget corporate and explain that these tires were obviously previously damaged and should be covered by them and they refused. My husband spent 1/2 a day of his work sitting at firestone playing back and force phone calls with budget and waiting for repairs. Enjoy your new tires you despicable people. How dare you put the price of repairing your vehicle properly over the safety of your customers? Just despicable. We also took photos, got an account from firestone on the tires and how it was obvious they had been previously damaged and submitted a letter to the Budget Corporate office. read more

This location lies deliberately to their customers. When you rent a new vehicle you should be assured that you are safe and have all the tools necessary to have a safe trip. Mike and Ike's leasing is a complete fraud. Here is the evidence: We rented a vehicle last weekend and we were coerced into thinking that we needed roadside protection. The explanation given was that "New cars don't come with spare tires, just air pumps." We checked under our car after reading the owners manual. There is a spare tire, and it also has a jack kit in the back. Buyer beware! Use someone else. read more

I rented cars from the Tech Ridge location 7 times in the span from August 2021 to the end of December 2021. MARION IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST!! He greeted me by my name each time and every conversation with him always put a smile on my face, I felt more like a friend rather than a customer. The quality of cars was fantastic. I rented a Chrysler Pacifica minivan and it was great for our trip. Tim, the staff member, was really friendly and a pleasure to do business with. I had previously rented from Enterprise but with this Budget location I got an excellent price, service and vehicle. What else can you ask for? I will definitely be coming back. First review but, just like many of the reviewers out there, a horrible experience instigated a need for my review. I pre paid for a car, showed up to get it, and there was a sign on the door stating "no more cars, go to the airport". I prepaid knowing it was a holiday weekend so i wanted to be assured i had a car. The manager signed the hand written sign on the door too. Long story short there were no cars at the airport or anywhere else. I pre paid for the car, along with many others who were waiting outside when they opened, so a car should have been available for me/us. The lights were off when we arrived and the manager was not there to face us directly (cowardice). Zero reliability as we PREPAID for a car and they ran out??? I'm actually shocked others have not written reviews as there were many pissed off people waiting outside the office that morning. Horrible customer service all the way around. Zero stars.
