After all of the paperwork was out of the way, Julie then escorted us to our rental, and proceeded to teach us how to operate the RV, things like power controls, energy sources, water connection and all the good stuff, her instructions were clear and easy to understand and remember. The only response we ever got from one is they charged our credit card $3500.00 without confirming the reservation. Oh, and by the way, we were leaving on Thursday and Tuesday is when we finally reached out to American Dream Vacation. Two of the windows on the RV literally fell onto the roadway which we were traveling. They tried to blame us for the windows falling out!!! WTF Below is the full list of issues we had with the RV: - When we left Austin the glass window fell out on bedroom window onto the roadway - On our way back to Austin, we lost a second window on the dining slide out onto the roadway - Air conditioner not working in main room, E4 error code - 24/7 support not available, voicemail box full. - Roadside assistance said they couldn't help us with any of the problems - 7' broken wood board on slideout, fell and almost hit daughter in the head - The gauge on the freshwater tank doesn't work so can't tell if there's any water or not. Only discovered on the 3rd day the tank was full of water - Water fill hose leaking at connection, spraying water all over. We couldn't use the camp site water because of issue. - Hot water doesn't work on kitchen faucet - Back up camera not working - Various windows/mechanisms broken and taped on outside with shipping tape - Broken screen door handle - No key for outside storage locks - Leg on Queen bed is loose/broken - Door on bedroom doesn't stay closed or latch - Window shade in bedroom is broken - Right rear view mirror very loose - Kitchen drawers won't stay set - Slide out panel controls are reverse - Check engine light was on the whole trip. It was the day before we…read morewere supposed to leave on our trip and the original RV we had rented was horribly damaged and out of commission so we were given a different RV with no air conditioner and an awful smell. The person helping us was horrific, she was nasty and rude and her office had dogs running around that were jumping all over us. It was seriously a horrible first experience renting an RV. Lucky for us we were referred to Karyn at American Adventures in Georgetown. Karyn was very apologetic (for a problem that had nothing to do with her) and vowed to turn our experience around - and boy did she! She got on the phone, made phone calls, got us into an upgraded RV, had her team clean it and have it ready to go in less than 30 minutes. Every person we encountered was so friendly and so helpful. All of this took place on my daughter's 10th birthday. What almost ruined her birthday surprise turned out to be one of the most memorable birthdays she's had so far all thanks to Karyn. I've seen the worst of the worst with RV renting experiences and I've seen the best of the best. American Adventures is the ONLY place I'll trust my future vacations with. Overall, we had a good experience. They are very friendly and helpful. The RV we rented was in good…read moreshape, everything worked and it was very comfortable. American RV was very flexible with us in terms of pick up and drop off. Quick note: we are not experienced with RVs or camping. This was our first time in an RV and first time towing an RV. We did have two significant issues. One with towing and one with power. Issue #1- American RV recommended an RV size that would have been better towing with a sway bar. We had to drive at about 40-45 miles per hour in order to keep control of the RV. We were meeting up with other, more experienced RV folk and when we arrived late because of how slow we had to drive, they told us a sway bar for anything over 5,000 lbs makes it much easier to tow. American RV provided a sway bar without the required hitch or simply telling us that we needed a specialized hitch. That info would have been so helpful as it is pretty scary to drive on the freeway with a 7500, 28 ft RV attached with a regular ball hitch and no sway bar. We managed to do it, though. In addition, we were told that we would be provided a ball hitch, but were not. We had to buy one. Issue #2 - The second item and the most critical issue is that we got to our site and realized that we could not find the main power cable for the RV. It was not on the RV with the other cords and adapters, or anywhere else that we could find. We looked everywhere for the cord. Which means that we did not have the ability to hook up to a power source or the generator that we rented as a backup. It would have been a cold, miserable night for us if another RV didn't happen to have a power cord that we were able to borrow. Without that, we probably would have left the site and gone back home. Overall, nice flexible company and RV was in good shape. Two critical details almost ruined our trip, though. We will rent from them again, but will confirm the towing requirements, asking about sway bar recommendations, and make sure they provide the Main power cord. Now that we have had one RV trip, we understand a little more about what to look for and what to ask.

Then, on day prior to U-box drop off, I received a text from this location with a 3 hour time window. The boxes were dropped off on time. After it was all loaded, they came back the following day to pick up the boxes; all done with out me having to be there. The boxes were then transported to my final destination in Denver. The boxes were in excellent condition and was clean on the inside. It came with 2 dozen moving pads per box. I would recommend looking into renting these for moving or simply just for temporary storage.

The guy then promptly offered a 15' for the same price! Heck yes!i was moving from a Town home to a house and the extra room meant less back and forth! When I signed up the system wanted to charge me by the mile (I didn't have a lot of distance to go so I did it)... when I got there the guy fixed it to a set amount no charge! Literally he could have left it and I would have just paid but unsolicited he just corrected it in the system and saved me the money. I got there to get it and because I had done all the prework on line it took like 5 mins to get my truck. The guy was great even with a bit of a computer slowdown, it was fast too! I basically got my 15' truck for 4 days and an appliance dolly for under 100$! And didn't wait at all. How could I not give a great review!!
