It was my first time using U-Boxes for moving and it went very well! I placed an order online and received follow up calls, texts, and email to confirm appointment dates and times. Then, on day prior to U-box drop off, I received a text from this location with a 3 hour time window. The boxes were dropped off on time. After it was all loaded, they came back the following day to pick up the boxes; all done with out me having to be there. The boxes were then transported to my final destination in Denver. The boxes were in excellent condition and was clean on the inside. It came with 2 dozen moving pads per box. I would recommend looking into renting these for moving or simply just for temporary storage. read more

I see all the bad reviews for this location but I have to say my experience has been fantastic! I reserved a 10' truck and got a call a couple of days before that they didn't have one. The guy then promptly offered a 15' for the same price! Heck yes!i was moving from a Town home to a house and the extra room meant less back and forth! When I signed up the system wanted to charge me by the mile (I didn't have a lot of distance to go so I did it)... when I got there the guy fixed it to a set amount no charge! Literally he could have left it and I would have just paid but unsolicited he just corrected it in the system and saved me the money. I got there to get it and because I had done all the prework on line it took like 5 mins to get my truck. The guy was great even with a bit of a computer slowdown, it was fast too! I basically got my 15' truck for 4 days and an appliance dolly for under 100$! And didn't wait at all. How could I not give a great review!! read more

Price originally quoted is just to hold the reservation, then charged an additional rental charge, basically a rental rate + rental charge, plus charged for dolly that was declined when requesting the rental truck. I have used uhaul to move things for my small business for years in confidence. The location on on Steeds Crossing Fm Rd 685 however we're dishonest, unkind and terrible to deal with. Warning, they will trick you into overpaying for things you didn't need or request. They have a bag filled with blankets built into the wall, that if you move them to actually use the space in the truck, they will charge you for it! The same goes for the hand dolly. It's mounted to a steel plate, so if you take it away they charge you!! Ofcourse I needed the space that it took up, so I removed it, and they billed me for it! They also charged me double for a one day rental, and charged a second person for the same truck for the same time frame. Disgusting business practices. read more

It was my first time using UBox. The day we got our Ubox, the woman who dropped it off did not notify us. She left the U box in a random parking spot. My girlfriend asked to move it, the delivery person had a disgusting attitude. Made it seem like it was a burden. We told her that we needed the ubox to have wheels so we can freely move it ourselves. The delivery basically brushed us off and told us to call Uhaul and she left. Seriously?? We then called Uhaul because we needed the Ubox to have wheels attached, that same delivery person picked it up and dropped it off at this location. WE THEN OURSELVES HAD TO PICK IT IP AT THIS LOCATION. This has been the worst customer service I have ever experienced. This is my first yelp review so that should say something......NEVER using Uhaul again. Oh they also charged me an extra 100 for something I don't even know. Absolutely the worst service I've ever received from any company. I ordered a U-Box from Woodland Ca and they're service was perfect. They called to confirm a week ahead of time and the day before. This Pflugerville location told me my U-Box would arrive at noon. Never arrived. I had to call them a day ahead of time. Sat on hold for 25 minutes. Called again the day of & sat on hold 20 minutes & they disconnected me. Been on hold for 35 minutes now just waiting for my items. Very bad. read more

The contract was cancelled today because the staff employee denied to attach the trailer to the hitch mount on my vehicle. She argued first that the 1-7/8″ ball size was too small and couldn't be used for the trailer, then I told her to check the u-haul web site were specifies that this size is correct and allowed to use. Then she told me that she didn't like the form of the hitch mount which is a Curt Euro Mount #45581 (https://www.curtmfg.com/part/45581) and didn't look safe to her, still denied to attach the trailer. I told her that I have used the same mount on u-haul trailers multiple times before (20+ times) and she has been the only one that denied the service, she said that the other u-haul employees didn't care but she does care. She suggested to return the ball mount to wherever I bought it because she didn't like it and denied to attach the trailer again. At that point I just told her that I'll go to a different u-haul location. She is an ignorant that needs some time training instead of wasting time in her phone texting or whatever she is doing while at work. This is a nice location but terrible service and bad employees, don't go to this location and put them out of business. read more

I don't usually write negative reviews, but this time I'll make an exception. I recently rented a truck to do some light local moving. The agent was friendly enough and the truck was fine... When asked how far I was going to drive, I told them about 15 miles. So far so good. BTW. the agent didn't say anything about checking the condition of the truck, the mileage etc... this turned out to bite me (lesson learned - don't trust and always verify). I only had it for about 4 hours, and returned it early. A couple of days later I saw a new charge for about $75 on my bank account. I called but went to voice mail so I decided to stop in and check it out. I spoke with a counter person who was probably new, and she pulled in a GM who happened to be onsite (Lucas Hall). Lucas looked it over and told me I was being charged for 90 miles! I explained where I'd been and how far I drove it, but he wouldn't listen. His response was to ask if I took a picture of the odometer before leaving. No one had mentioned doing that, and I admitted that I didn't. He filled out an "escalation" for the site manager (Christina Phork) and told me to expect a call sometime in the morning. This encounter left a bad taste in my mouth as Lucas was a bit arrogant and condescending.. but oh well. I waited for contact from the manager. Nothing came. I emailed the manager and even went to the storage facilities and got proof of my check-in times which backed up my explanation, but she (Christina) ignored my emails. Finally after 8 days and 3 emails, I copied the U-haul service address. They promptly responded and assigned my escalation to a manager. The manager called me and after hearing me out, declined my escalation. I can handle the declined escalation, after all it's only $75 extra. What I can't understand is the condescending tone of the GM I spoke with, and being utterly ignored by the site manager for over a week. I hope others learn from this experience and don't get screwed like I did. read more

Wow..after seeing these other yelp reviews, I should have known better than to go here. I drove across the country and came here as it was my drop off location. Here's what happened when I arrived.. At first, the female rep at the front desk said she couldn't find my files when I told her I was there to drop off a trailer. After I insisted that this was indeed my drop off location and showed her the texts, she magically found my file. So we went out to unhitch the trailer and next thing you know, Brianna (not sure how it's spelled), tells us that they won't take it because they had too many of these trailers. At this point, I'm thinking "ok, that's not really my problem..". She then told me I would have to drive it to some other drop off location in Pflugerville..I told her "no, my paper trail shows THIS is the right location, and when I called a location closer to my place, they would charge me more, which I wanted to avoid". From there, she tries to look up my file and says it was showing the drop off location was now in DALLAS. I reiterated again that this was the location on my receipt, so their systems must be off. She then rudely walked away and took a phone call while we were in the middle of the conversation (great customer service.. *sarcasm*). I wait there, knowing that I'm at the right spot, for them to come back out. She then starts getting more rude and refuses to accept my trailer when all paperwork shows this is my drop off location. At this point, my blood is boiling and I think they're just messing with me. I refused to leave and kept telling them I didn't receive any other communication to deliver it elsewhere. A gentleman finally came out to unhitch the trailer and I guess they realized their systems were messed up and accepted the trailer and told me to leave. I instead insisted that I receive a receipt in case they try to pull some funny stuff. Brianna then rudely tells me she "can't", so I wait in the office. She emails it to me and I go on my way. This is the most unprofessional U-Haul I've ever been to and would advise no one go here and let them go out of business. Their front staff is a joke and incompetent, then they get aggressive with customers which is never good. read more

This place used to be great and I used them several times from the time they opened and 2020. My 2020 experience was rather poor, with a change in truck pickup, then I had to pick a tow dolly here. It was in poor condition (worn and frayed straps, poorly functioning ratchets. But nothing as bad as what my brother-in-law is currently experiencing: In spite of asking for additional days for the 26 foot truck he rented for a cross country move, he was given a turn in date on the same day he indicated that he was heading out of town with the loaded truck and 26 foot trailer that he added the prior day. The trailer had a flat tire at his destination, which is probably not the fault of this dealer, but is a factor in what happened next. He reported the trailer flat tire the day he arrived at his destination (the day after the "due" date assigned by this dealer). As a result of this and the fact that U-Haul entities don't communicate with each other or with their customers, they towed the still partially unloaded truck and empty trailer rather than repairing the tire as requested, while he was at a motel. They didn't call or text him first. Until this place changes hands again, I strongly recommend working with another truck rental location or agency. This place gets the worst review I've ever given to anybody on Google or Yelp. read more

This place is awful, though the problem is probably more deeply rooted with U-Haul as a whole than limited to just this location. First, they never contacted me when my u-boxes arrived as they were supposed to. Then, I had multiple instances where I set up appointments to access the boxes to get my stuff out of them and when I arrived the boxes were not out and I was told there was no record of my appointment. I set them up both at the store in person and over the phone with customer service. Neither worked. The last time I was there, I had movers scheduled to come load the items out of the boxes and had set the appointment and stopped by the store the evening before to ensure they were out in the morning. I was told they would definitely be out and not to worry. Not only were they not out, but they were loaded very far into the storage unit, so my movers had to wait a very long time until the boxes were finally brought out. Of course as I am paying movers for time, this ultimately ended up costing me more money. Now, to top it off, I was just charged another month's rent despite the fact that I emptied the boxes and did as they said by telling them the boxes were empty and that I was done with them. I've tried calling them multiple times today, been routed to the main u-haul phone line, which ultimately just routes me back to the store itself to no answer. There is never anyone at the front desk. You will wait forever to get in contact with someone at the store. Definitely do not do business with these people at all, or u-haul in general if you can avoid it. I'd give them no stars if I could. read more

First of all if I could give no stars I would. When I arrived to pick up rental there were at least 3 associates on duty, and however I had to go outside to find someone to assist me. Fast forward..When I received the keys from Armando Serna, and went to the truck to find out the check engine light is on ( why would you give a customer a vehicle with any lights on). Do y'all not check vehicles when they are returned. Then upon returning the vehicle there is a sign that indicates if returning during business hours a representative will come out and perform a check of vehicle to complete the process. And after waiting 10 mins I went inside to find once again 3 associates sitting inside. I so thinking maybe they didn't know we were outside, however there is a camera right in front of them that shows a vehicle sitting in the return location. After standing there for at least a minute none of them even acknowledged me until a made a loud sigh, then the lady to the right indicated that Kendall Jones would assist me (after she finished typing her TEXT MESSAGE). All she said was you are checked out we will send you a receipt via email. No ma'am, I am here at 12:45pm ( and per your sign between business hours) a representative will assist with the return process. I asked for a paper receipt, and Armando advised the he didn't know how to print out a receipt so Kendall would have to do it. When she came back in all she did was print it out with held the paper out for me. So please please be aware of the unprofessionalism of this staff. read more

This U-Haul rental place is the worst, one star because there is nothing lower. The customer service is abysmal, Christina and Brianna are rude and do not provide the level of customer service I have come to expect from other U-Haul rental facilities or on the phone. I also found their rental prices are higher than most other U-Haul locations, and yes U-Haul's prices can vary, even within the same town. Do yourself a favor and find another location, moving is stressful enough on its own, without putting up with poor manners and rude behavior. read more

If I could give negative stars for this location I absolutely would. First off, we had a storage unit with them for two months. We gave notice to vacate and were charged for the following month. Still have yet to see a refund for those fees. Additionally, we rented a van for the purpose of our business. The van was returned unharmed and we were then charged for a damage. Even if we had caused said damage (which we definitely did not) we had purchased the additional insurance to protect us from this. In the end we were still charged. The manager had the nerve to call us and offer to "settle" for half of the cost of the damage. We had to call corporate twice to get this resolved. Do yourself a favor and go to the location across the street. The mismanagement of this location is frustrating and appalling. read more

Our experience with UHaul was rough. We were originally told that 3 U box containers would hold our 2 bedroom home and we had to add on 3 more on moving weekend (total of 6) which was a huge inconvenience. After talking to Jose (manager) at the Murrieta Ca location he was very understanding and helpful through the whole process. At the end he credited us back for 2 containers so we had to pay for a forth which was not budgeted for. (Thank goodness they record conversations so I could prove I was told 3 containers would hold our 2 bedroom home) although we were still out the money for the forth container I was glad we didn't have to pay for all 6. Our delivery was delayed waiting for u haul to take care of the difference which took almost an extra week and that was frustrating since we had already been living in our new home out of state for 2 weeks with an air mattress and lounge chairs. I will not use them again for long distance moves but am grateful for Jose taking care of the issue like he did. Avoid this location at all cost. I reserved pods online and when I arrived it was an hour before I got out of there. They spent 30 mins on me at the counter just to get my already filled out paperwork dealt with. When I complained they offered no apologizes even in the slightest. He instead told me that I had arrived at a busy time, which didn't make sense since I was the second person in line. There was however 5 highly frustrated people behind me. I called before picking up my second set of pods to make sure they were ready, they said come at 10 am the next morning and they would be. I arrived at 12 just to be safe, I was told nothing was done and it would be another hour before they would have it ready, again not a single apology, literally nothing. I would assume they get yelled at a lot and just don't care anymore. Avoid this place at all cost if you have a schedule to keep. read more

There was a mix-up with the reservation at the traffic controller but this facility took care of me. They did everything they could to ensure I was provided everything required to get my move done and they definitely delivered! We have rented storage units at various U-Haul locations in various states and this is by far the worst one we have ever used. It literally took us an hour, no joke, just to get the unit. We had already reserved it ahead of time but entering us into the system again or whatever they did took an eternity of our time. There are always trucks blocking the gate and walk through doors in and out. The climate controlled units are kept around 90 degrees so not very controlled- it was cooler outside than inside. Overall it was a very difficult location to get to, difficult to get in and out of, difficult to get to our belongings and very difficult to check in and also out. read more

If you can use a different location, do so. It took 45 min in the office to rent a truck that we already reserved online. We were told it was our fault for running the card as debit online. Ummm... its an American Express credit card and since when is debit an option for anything online? If it is debit, they charge you an extra deposit. When we asked if we'd get the deposit back, the response was "you 'should' get it back" and "corporate headquarters should pay it back if we're too busy". Not very reassuring. All in all, avoid it. Somehow we magically drove 600 miles in three hours and they just charged our card. The entire process was slow and painful and this branch seems to be run by people who have no idea what they are doing. We stayed in town and put a grand total of 16 miles on the van. How it went from 16 miles to 600 is a mystery. DO NOT USE THIS UHAUL LOCATION. If we didn't call to question the charges, nothing would have happened and we would have been charged for putting 600 miles on the van. They did see this was mistake and they are working to fix it but overall this whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth read more
