I've heard this is standard practice at Recnation when talking to other storage units facilities. You have a log of choices nearby, make sure and do your research. I found several that were significantly cheaper, would allow you to do month to month and STILL lock in pricing for a year. Beware of taking time energy and money to store your belongings in a storage facility that has zero regard for retaining its customers.

The gentleman that assisted us were very welcoming and friendly and they had a great promotion for a 5x10 storage for $49 a month so we took it! Also, we had our u-haul trailer that needed to get dropped off at another location, but we were able to drop it off at Storage Max which saved us time and made it so much easier! She calls when I've forgotten to pay a month, and takes care of it instantly with my info. She cares and asks about me and my family. She sends emails to keep me up to date with changes as the city of Georgetown worked on their street entrance (now finished) and assisted and directed me in getting there after all that construction! The grounds are always clean. When I'm hot (or cold) the office has heat and a/c. The bathroom is clean and accessible when the office is open! Definitely consider this unit!
